Both shows are written by the same people and have a very similar feeling. They seem cute, innocent and lighthearted on the surface but address problems in society at the same time, especially concerning women’s rights. There are very progressive themes in both shows that you don’t find in most dramas. I highly recommend them both! I promise you won’t regret it :))

You have single mother's fighting for their future in both.

In both male leads fall in love at first sight and both are really optimistic and hardworking.

Both dramas have this great feeling and healthy relationships in their couples.

Ho Goo's Love similarly follows Uee as a young, single mother, except in that drama she was a national swimmer before becoming pregnant and running away on her own. It is definitely a lighter drama with more comedy, but still delves into deeper issues in society that reminded me of the way Marriage Contract went into the issue of single motherhood and illness. Basically, watch Uee's amazing crying and acting in this drama too!

Written by the same person, both dramas have a very fresh take on relationships and the identity of women and men in society.

while they are completely different in genre and tone (My Beautiful Bride is an action thriller, Hogu's Love is a light hearted romantic comedy), they both feature stories of first loves and fate. If you liked the love story between the main characters in My Beautiful Bride, you'll find the story in Hogu's love very satisfying.

Not similar in terms of storyline.. like at all
but both dramas give off a "fluffy"/cutesy feel
overall, both are fun and light dramas that you should try ;)

While the storylines are very different, I felt that the two male leads (Seo In Guk, in Shopping King Louis, and Choi Woo Shik, in Ho Goo's Love) were both innocent and lovable in their own ways.

If you liked the quirky characters and the humor in one drama then the other might suit your taste :) I would say that both of these dramas have a similar feeling and ironical take on life, even if Ho Goo's Love is way more humorously darker. Also, all characters doesn't seem far too predictable and have their own drive, which is not always directly revealed for the viewer.

They both sorta remind me of eachother especially in the aspect of healing and athletes. If you like one you most likely will like the other.

The male leads in both drama are cute & innocent type and female leads are headstrong.MUB is sweeter and lighter romance whilst HGL deals with serious problems rooted in Korean society.

Both deal with the issue of trauma and romance, but Mahiro no Tsuki portrays a much more real look and feel of the trauma that she went through whereas Ho Goo's Love, the writer really didn't do proper research of the aftereffects of such trauma. Both were very good drama's, but Mahiro no Tsuki did a much better job of it. Enjoy... :)))

Both dramas feature female leads who are in positions of social stigma but learn to love their lives confidently and accept love. Both dramas feature social themes that are often not portrayed and offer refreshing social commentary. Both dramas are a little more serious but feature enjoyable performances and leave lasting impressions.

First of all is the protagonist once again played by Choi Woo shik. The characters are giving a similar vibe. The drama is also an adaptation of a webtoon, but with 60 min. episodes.

It's not about BL, but the overall humour and feeling are very similar!

Both follow the perspective of a nerdy male lead who has issues with dating.

Many similarities in the plot including a main character who idolizes a female lead who's out of his league.
