Go Cheok Hee and So Jeong Woo once worked together at a law firm; she was a divorce lawyer, and he was her office manager. She treated him like her inferior, while he constantly irked by pointing out her mistakes and calling her "Chucky" behind her back. But Cheok Hee is so ambitious, so determined to win every case for her clients, that her unethical misdeeds catch up to her, causing her read morelicense to be suspended.
Meanwhile, Jeong Woo studies and gets his law degree. Years later, they end up working together again for a different law firm. But this time, the tables have turned: he's the divorce lawyer, and she's the office manager. And Jeong Woo relishes getting his petty revenge.

This will not be my usual drawn out review. I just know that this drama hasn't gotten much love and I actually think it's a much better romcom and drama than many more popular ones. The plot in particular being a nice cohesive whole that seemed to be pretty well-thought out from beginning to end was refreshing.

Aside from the plot being quite well put together, the last episode was extremely good read more by Kdrama standards (and if you watch a lot of Kdramas you know what I mean about their endings often being a trainwreck). And this also belies the plot being well-thought out.

I also liked the actors. I didn't see great chemistry between the leads but it was enough to find them a cute couple and individually I liked their characters a lot. In particular I liked (and was surprised by) a decision made by the female lead near the end that I really didn't expect, and how that decision bolstered the theme of the entire show. The theme and "lesson" of the show regarding the nature of marriage/romantic relationships. I'm not going to say what the theme was, but suffice it to say it was strung together throughout the whole drama in a nice way and they never deviated from it, which is why the plot feels so cohesive.

All in all, this was never "must watch" for me, but on the other hand, I really appreciate that it did some things right regarding theme and plot that so many dramas fail to do.

Yes, from the very first episode the main female lead, Go cheok Hee will come off as a bratty and annoying person, however that's how most of the time dramas start off with characters. It is very obvious that the person will start to grow and learn to be better. therefore its better not to jump to conclusions by watching only the first few episodes.

Overall, the whole story is actually pretty read more interesting, funny, and many scenes make you squeal. It's nice and light, not too dramatic, like the second female lead isn't your cliche evil person who plays dirty tricks on the main female lead. same for the second male lead.

The music is really nice and goes well with the moments. I personally really liked this drama, finishing a drama is really hard for me, and I usually drop them when I don't like them or I think they're dragging, but this drama wasn't like that. It's really enjoyable. I love all the characters and I hope you will too.

Short review but hope it helped.

Both are romantic comedies with similar funny but cute style with strong characters. Both also have outstanding acting from Yeon Woo Jin.

Same adorable lead actress, Both are fun romantic comedies with lead males that despite having a complicated and rocky relationship start with the spunky lead actress they fall for her. There is an interesting dynamic in both that put the actress in a position of power over the male leads early on. There is also a time in each that the lead male seems a bit emotionally dependent on the leading lady. the main difference is that HL deals with gangsters and DIL deals with bad marriages.

I don't know if I'm feeling this. I'm not sure about the leads and I'm liking Bong Min Gyu who I don't think is a lead oh man.

The female lead's acting in this drama was quite bad imo, a bit over the top, like she kept widening her eyes every time she spoke lol

Light, cute & fluffy ! After going on a kdrama hiatus, I'm so glad I chose to watch this drama which def reminded me why I loved watching dramas in the first place. And Yeon Woo Jin is perfect as usual ! He's def becoming one of my fav actors !

I liked this drama and I think it was quite relaxing and enjoyable. A simple but not boring story is good enough to me. I liked the female lead character and the actress (Jo Yeo Jung) as well. Her pairing with Yeon Woo Jin was a good choice. Oh, almost forgot... the OST is nice. I particularly fell in love with Epitone Project song, "Strange, Dawn".

I'm on episode 16 when I decided to drop. There's the fun, but where's the thrill.

I found this drama to be getting very drawn out in the middle, it just seemed like they were trying to fill their episode quota. I ended up skipping episodes 12-17 and just watched the last one. I didn't miss much. The main actress seemed to be more annoying as the drama wore on. Her main expression to anything seemed to be to widen her eyes. The 3 other mains were excellent and why I didn't just drop the drama completely.

I'm on ep. 4 and I'm really hating Cheok Hee, she's over the top and after all she's done and happened she's still the same without feeling of remorse....I don't know or I can say that I'm looking forward on how she redeem herself as more episode unfold. Just hoping it will come soon before I get tired, bored and totally pissed off on her.

I quite enjoyed this drama as it had a very unusually strong, unconventional and independent female lead. For the first 5 episodes she did seem overbearing and a little arrogant but as the story unfolded her personality evolved even though keeping her tenacious personality. I also appreciated the very realistic outlook on marriage and divorce which made this drama totally different from the ones seen so far. It seems that the Korean society is slowly coming to terms with the idea that perfect happily ever after marriages aren't the norm nowadays. In any case it was a pleasant and easy going watch with some funny parts too.
