Takei plays Nao Yoshino, a girl who fails the entrance exams of her target high school. She winds up enrolling in a technical high school called Kenritsu Asuka Kougyou Koukou, also known by the nickname "Asukou." Out of the 148 entering freshmen, only three are girls, and Nao is the only one in her class.

This reminded me a lot of Gokusen. Not necessarily because of the story but how its told. Its not really one storyline till the end but each episode has its own little story concentrating on one side character (...which is being helped by the female lead).

I really liked the idea of one girl being in a school full of boys.

(I mean what girl doesn't? ^.^) Sometimes it read more was cute and sometimes it was a little dramatic (ok, maybe sometimes a little too dramatic). The music was catchy, the acting was great and the boys were cute. This drama has a special atmosphere. You know, when you watch those (american) movies where the lead character dramatically gives a Speech/Explanation in front of an audience/other lead character towards the end and the audience so moved by his/her words that they all cheer/kiss or whatever. This kind of atmosphere leads you through all 9 episodes. Not much romance but a lot of "fighting"-attitude, so if you don't mind a little cheesiness on the side, you should give this a try. I did and I didnt regret it.

*Fighting* (makescutefistmoveintoair)

At first I thought this drama would be boring because of the theme but it turned out be interesting enough. This is one of those dramas that is more about teaching life lessons. I was more interested in the relationship with the main girl and the actor boy. I did like most of the cast. Overall it is a very good watch but I wanted more from the ending.

Same idea of trying to help a class of troublesome students, a life-changing school experience, array of characters and so on. Strongly recommend.

Same idea of a class of troublesome students, and an optimistic person (in gokusen a teacher, and asuko march the only female student) who help turn everyone's lives around. Scheme of the episodes it similar, that it goes through various characters and shows the efforts of protagonist and their kind hearts that bring resolution to the issue.

If only this was a few episodes longer! I think it would have been nice to see the characters go off into the world, even momentarily. I liked the ending, but I think there could have been something more. I like that Takei Emi takes on strong female roles, and here she's really cool, but I wish there could have been more because this one was really great. I'm a sucker for friendship dramas, and this one is cute :)

love the soundtrack the music not the songs......nao kawainess + that upbeat music = KAWAI LOL. Yuta kanai if i remember correctly did an emotional scene in ikigami movie where he sings then died, Im shock that he is good at comedy too.

This is kind of one of the few dramas I like to rewatch, I love the setting and the actors/+plus the main actress. I almost kind of hope in the future some time there will be a season 2.
