While climbing up Mt. Sorak, a human error tangles the climbing ropes and puts the lives of all the members in jeopardy. As the team leader, Roh Jin Ho, sacrifices one man to save the rest, he begins to suffer from guilt and confusion. Professor Kang tries to console Jin Ho by showing him a battle journal about Second Lieutenant Kim. Kim was a young man who went to fight in the Korean war and died there honourably when Kang was a war correspondent. Jin Ho realizes the patriotism and courage that Kim possessed and vows to protect and serve his country. Edit Translation
