STORY: This is a crazy love triangle and the movie tells you that in the first 60 seconds. The story is well written and I like that it starts (after the 60 seconds) with a nice couple who are in a long-term relationship and living happily together. That seems so rare in BL dramas. Well, it doesn't last long as Wan gets a job and falls for his amazing boss, Ohm. Things go to hell real quick after that. As much as I detest cheating and infidelity, the story is compelling all the way to the end. The ending was powerful and abrupt but not sad nor happy.

ACTING/CAST: WOW, these guys are smokin' HOT. Good actors too, all mature. The sexual tension between the actors was palpable.

MUSIC: It was good for this drama, very polished.

REWATCH VALUE: Yeah, might watch it again with a friend cause I'd like to see the eye candy again.

OVERALL: I can't stand the love triangle stuff but this movie does have a high production value. It's sexy and slick with great cinematography.

Story had a good blueprint, but could have been tighter.

First and foremost, that description is misleading.

The idea was sound. It was a classic case of changing circumstances resulting in shifting feelings and emotional infidelity. I felt bad for Tar, who said from the very beginning to just let him know if anything ever changes in their relationship. It was a shame to see how their situation made him snap at the end. But it can be explained away by his desperation.

What can't be explained is how very little is actually communicated. Like, it seems like Wan never actually acted on his attraction to Ohm. The only thing he ever confessed to is having fallen for him and nothing is ever shown on the screen. So why wasn't that ever brought up? Also, Ohm is fully aware that the situation with the watch was a misunderstanding. Why didn't he try to defend himself and explain? And Wan told Ohm that he was having trouble with Tar because they didn't get to see each other much anymore. But yet, when talking to Tar himself, he said it was because they spent too much time together. Which one was it/ And why did Ohm's personality seem to change halfway through the film? So it left me very confused in places.

Everyone here is in the wrong. But as Wan himself stated, Wan was the most guilty one. Ohm blatantly pursued and flirted with Wan fully knowing that Wan was taken. But Wan let himself be swayed. Which makes it even worse when Tar had actually tried to open up communication on the matter multiple times, in a civil manner. At any point, Wan could have sat and reflected about what he was feeling. But he just went along with it, all the way until it blew up in his face. And then he still didn't communicate effectively. Meanwhile, Tar escalated the situation in his desperation, putting Wan on the spot on the radio twice and orchestrating a misunderstanding (which, I might add, put him in just as much hot water as it did Ohm).

There was an interesting proposition and set up to make them a throuple. And yes, they could have worked well together in theory. But that was before all of the mess they all caused. If they had gotten into the proposed relationship at that stage, it would have been very toxic moving forwards. So I must give props to Wan for analyzing that situation and not giving it a shot. I also appreciate that the writers didn't try to use it as some sort of easy solution for their conflict. None of them deserved to be with each other. And as such, the ending felt right for this story, even if it is labelled as a sad ending.

I watched this production to see some of early work of the many familiar faces in the cast and crew. As such, I wouldn't consider this a waste of time. But the story could have been tighter in terms of characters and clarity for viewers. I would have also appreciated seeing some references to relationship troubles having been building up even before the job change (or more references to the passage of time), so that it didn't feel as sudden.

Uhhh. I’m confused

Okay. So I liked the actors, and the premise of the story is good. But maybe I’m just dense, or the plot really was too vague, but I’m not sure what was going on. I liked seeing Gun in this series, and I recognized several other cast members as well. So that was cool. But I’m not clear on what actually happened.. Did the first “affair” happen? I mean, the character was unconscious... It was portrayed like he passed out drunk, and slept at the seniors house... The second “affair” I REALLY didn’t think happened, he just left his watch at the other guys house by accident because he took it off to wash his hands.... I would have liked to have seen what “allegedly happened” (and that’s not just the “perv” in me saying that! Lol!) just so it was clear as to what actually transpired.. And honestly, Ohm’s proposed solution on the roof, would make a great movie/series! Lol! The very end was weird, and open-ended for me too. I didn’t understand a lot of the thought processes or actions of the characters. And who was Tar talking to on the phone?! Maybe it wasn’t important to know for the plot, but it was just more confusion for me. It was okay. It’s good for the eye-candy, at least...

Seven year itch

Secret Love is an early bl or rather LGBT movie (2014) by GMMTV's house prolific director Jojo Tichakorn. That guy is seriously talented. Like seriously!!!

Even this short movie in spite of bad cinematography and looking amateurish, is better than a big number of currently airing bls. Apparently it is based on a true story. But the synopsys is misleading, to say the least.

Wan and Tar have been in a happy relationship for years. when Wan got a new job. In the office his immediate superior, Ohm, is kind, attractive and very touchy feely so much so that Wan falls completely for him. Tar realizes something has changed and when he confronts his boyfriend , Wan prefers to break up instead of trying to figure out what went wrong. Tar even contacts Ohm hoping to get his boyfriend back. They start talking and a connection is created between Tar and Ohm as well. Ohm actually falls for both of them!

The short film touches on important issues: adultery and sexual harassment at work. Nothing is sorted out and they eventually all go their separate ways. But the movie shows how easy it is to succumb to temptation and that there is a thin line between being friendly and harassment. The tension and the chemistry between the characters are palpable, so much so that I wanted them to finish all three of them together. No such result but still....

The actors are a mixed lot: Gun is just awful! I hated him in 2gether and here he is just as bad: he cannot help grimacing while trying to be cute: it does not work, it is just annoying! The other two , Ten and Pop as Tar and Ohm respectively, are excellent showing a range of emotions with restraint. By the way, where are those actors now? Why aren't they acting anymore? What a waste!

The movie is an early project and it shows: it is a bit all over the place (low budget +lack of experience probably) but the story is gripping and it is an excellent watch if you overlook the low production values (and a very bad quality video of it on youtube! ).

LET'S BE HONEST

On the overall I'll give a 8.75 even if I really would like to give 9/10
Here's why:

I really like it. And I have to say that the movie could almost be considered a masterpiece.
First of all, if you're not looking for something complicated, elaborated and that is not following the classic tai bl drama, this IS NOT for you. If like me you're not scared to experiment, I invite you to continue to read.

the STORY is really complicated not in a way that the spectators cannot follow it, but it is complicated as if it was in real life. It's not a plot you would encounter everywhere, it can seem ,to many people, a weird and impossible story, as for me, I think that (ok it doesn't happen everyday) but there are couples that goes through this complex relationships. I like the fact that it experiments different type of romance. As a viewer I felt joy, fun, sadness and anger, so this movie got everything on the emotion.
My only problem is in fact the triangle relationship and all the cheating process, but it's not because we don't like those kind of things, that the story and the movies were bad. (but I still had to take out some point)

for the ACTORS I must say that they have done a VERY GOOD JOB! the choice of the cast was perfect, I personally think everybody acted pretty well, even the crying scenes, and I loved to see Gun having to impersonate a whole new different character from what he had done previously. I'm not giving a ten because I've seen them act even better in other dramas.

MUSIC: unfortunately I feel like it s always what is keeping a hard time to get better in most of the thai dramas/movies. we got sometimes the music cut off for an other scene, the choices of the song were good, but sometimes these scenes ended a little bit too fast. I also feel that in some scene they could have put music, to hide a litlle bit the back noises. and maybe just to put a little bit more the spectator in the ambiance.

I already watched it 3 times. I really advice you if u want to re-watch it, to do it after a long period.
