Both dramas are about not so good students getting into a well known college. When I first saw Dragon Sakura I automatically thought about God of Study

It has the same main idea : to teach troublesome students.

these two teachers may be very different. But their approach about how to teach is really way too far from the traditional teaching. If you are a student, this is a must watch. For those who're not studying -- working already -- well.. everyday is a learning process.

Both are about working hard to achieve a goal. Both have amazing teachers in them, who can speak the "student's language".

They're basically about the same thing, with a slitghtly different approach. Also both have amazing teachers in them, who can speak the "student's language". You will be left with a very similar feeling.

Someone from a different field is asked to change a school. And are able to get results. Although Dragon Zakura focuses more on students.

Original season of this drama
Same 2 main characters
Different cast of students but the heart of the story is the same

Both dramas have this 'special class'. In Dream High it's a class who's planning to debut someday while in Dragon Zakura it's a class who wants to go to Tokyo University / Toudai.

Dragon Zakura is a good kyoushi (bengoshi? ww) dorama and MNO!! is an annoying kyoushi dorama;
the thing I am basing this recommendation off is actually vaguely unrelated to any meaningful part of the shows' composition..: the kids' style
Osakaish GALish kinda bad thing; idk, it brightens me up

I love this trope so much that I can watch countless dramas based on it even when they normally follow similar story structure. Weak student having no dreams whatsoever meets a teacher who help him/her rediscovering themselves and finding success at the end. Cinderella formula can be a little melodramatic compared to Dragonzakura But both have strong motivational story. Well in dragon zakura too, we see many unexpected things happening in last 2 episodes rather than simply following the story and getting result. I loved both of the dramas and have rated them same. So basically they are on same level for me, You give it a try and decide yourself.

slice of life, highschool, studying, teacher/student, motivation, encouragement, grow up, adolescence, senses of humor, realistic, thoughtful, cuteness...

Both have the same elements:
1. Strong, inspiring teacher. Not to mention that the two actors have similar styles that would make you smile every time you see them on TV (especially alongside each other)
2. Tame your delinquent students and make them dream again.
