In both dramas the leads unveil many mysteries involving people close to them and most characters seem suspicious except for the leads, story is filled with drama and suspense. The vibe is pretty similar.

A town full of suspicious people, each protecting their own secret. Small mysteries connecting to a big mystery. Female lead is an outsider, trying to get to the bottom of things.

Both about village with a dark secret, an outsider goes to the village, investigates and finds a deep dark secret that the people there are living with. both have a foreboding atmosphere. Though gannibal is a bit more gruesome, but they both have creepy dark atmosphere with unimaginable secrets! lots of twists and turns along the way

Both have a character that sees dead people. Both deliver an eerie feel. The main difference is that The Village: Achiara's Secret is more of a campy Suspense Thriller and The master's Sun is a Romantic Comedy.

TVAS is more of a Suspense Thriller and BOTC is more of a Melodrama but what they have in common is a complicated Family connection, nefarious motives, and mystery to unravel. Also, a ghost.

In both there is a suspicious cast of characters a whole lot of dark secrets and at least one dead body.

Both are mysteries surrounding two sisters: older one who was the mistress of a wealthy, married man and the younger sister trying to figure out what happened to her while uncovering all the skeletons in the closet of a seemingly perfect, high-society family. Both also well-done and engaging. KMSR is more comedic and has more romance however.

The isolated and creepy village with crazy people in it and also a disturbed family.

The entire drama flows along with a string of mysteries and everyone seems suspicious except the leads (as usual).

Both are thrillers, with a female lead, at the country side. Many secrets in both dramas.

In both, female leads come from Canada to Korea to uncover a mystery involving their sisters. Achiara is a much darker show than Secret Mother.

Psycho Ohn Joo Wan! One of the reasons that led me to watch this drama immediately while it still broadcasting was Ohn Joo Wan, again in a crime drama after The Five.

The Village: Achiara's Secret

Achiara is a quiet, peaceful village with hardly any crime But on her first day of school there, English language instructor Kim So-yoon discovers a buried corpse. As the townspeople speculate on the identity of the dead person and the reason she was killed, So-yoon and policeman Park Woo-jae become determined to solve the mystery.

? Relationship is the main focus.
