The story is a ten because it is a remake. The cast the series progressed I thought to myself, others could have done better. The music was so - and -so doesn't give you LSS feels and the rewatch- nope I am not gonna watch this, I would rather watch the lengthy Goong than this.

This had a promising start but this drama turned out to be a disappointment. It was read more such a waste because it was obvious that they had spent a great deal of money for the production. I managed to watch the first few episodes with much expectation but as the series progressed I couldn't watch any further. At times I did try to pick it up but it just got too stale for my taste. As a remake it was a complete disappointment. Most of the weight of its failure went to the actors and how the plot was executed. The original Korean showed character depth and development, but here the series is almost done but still they act like a bunch of elementary kids. I am also uncertain if there was a non kissing clause in the main female lead's contract but if it turns out to be true then it is a disappointment. There are some drama that have no kissing scenes but still managed to deliver but this one just went around the bush, it is not even a push and pull. This drama failed me so much, It failed as a romance genre because the main leads are just too cringy to watch with all those fake kisses. The villains are just plainly annoying. This drama will go into the archives that I assure you. Hey it is just my opinion.

so far (14/20).... it's quite similar to the Korean version, with of course, it's original twists...

I've read some of the Goong manhwa, and I wont complain and say the Prince (Inn) is just the same jerk as Goong (both the manhwa and the Korean adaptation) .. he kinda HAS to be in order to stick to the original manhwa...

but I will say... its cute, it has it's nice moments, and read more the evil Queen (holy guac, that lady should be asked to play a Disney villain) she's so great for the part.. but doesn't fit in with the rest of the characters... her acting stands out the most, it's too forced, and too wicked, not to mention her makeup always looks flawless!

Other than this observation.. I have found the series so far.. (14/20) to be kinda super extremely slow pace, but maybe I'm not being patient enough.

Basically a remake but in Thai !

All the characters are interesting ! love the triangle in PH Thai
Recommended by shikyu
Both contain a similar plot : one girl who became princess within a couple of weeks !

In My princess she is the real princess in Princess Hour ( Thai) she "have" to marry the prince !

Both are funny and some good romance :D

Are you for real Pattie? Seriously? A no kissing contract for a drama like "Princess Hours"? Now that's a huge disappointment, i was expecting too much from this drama and they ruined it all.

I had great expectation with this show, but it turned out to be like a disappointment. In comparison with the korean version, we could see how the characters transitioned from high schoolers to adults thus when they fell in love they portrayed their roles with a mature approach. Thus when the kissing scene was done it was magical, plus the korean actress who played the princess is always all in in her kissing scenes. The lack of skinship just made this drama seemed like a barbie fairytale drama... oh wait even barbie dramas have kissing scenes hahahaha.
The casts were great but when I finished the u prince series single lawyer I couldn't help but imagine August as the prince, he would be awesome. The leads there could probably made a fine inn and kaning, with regards to kisses you won't have a problem there, just pecking but nonetheless very romantic.

I'm so upset to know there won't be any real kiss. I felt she was a nice choice, but seriously, how unbelievable is that she was offered/decided to take this role? After years I still remember Goong bcs of the way the two main leads fell in love so naturally and passionately, and honestly that was the only thing I was expecting from the thai version since the reign they live in is not real (in the korean one they also showed a lot of korean culture...) :(
Maybe it will be a nice drama anyway but there's no point in watching a story about a married couple who falls in love and no kisses. I had high expectation and waited for over a year for this but I'm thinking of dropping it now... so sad. :(

I was waiting for this drama with great expectation.. personally..i think its stupid to have a no kissing clause..that too for a romance drama like this...takes away half of the charm..its not like she is the only actress there... they could have casted someone else!! I think i like k version better... :( ... No offense meant !!!

The female has a no-kiss clause~ but the plot has kisses. Personally, it doesn't make sense and It's really disappointing. Maybe that's why.

I'm not really trying to be offensive or anything~ but they really shouldn't have kept the lead actress if they had kissing scenes and she doesn't want to be kissed on the lips. It just completely ruins it for most people watching. Imagine seeing real kisses with the second lead girl and then seeing cold puffs of air with the lead female. Give me a break.

Preach. I don't even wanna watch now. If you're doing a Goong remake, kisses need to be on point. Come on now.

Tell me about it! Goong is a classic! How could anyone compromise with such important events~ kisses are important in Goong. Especially because of that second female lead being there all the time. -.-

I read the lead actress has no kissing contract! Than why get her for this mayor remake!! I don't understand Thailand has amazing actresses that they can pick from why get a actress that has a no kissing contract. I would understand if she was younger than 18.

That kiss was kinda blaaah for me!!! No offense !! That scene would have been better if there was a real kiss!! But i guess in the preview he really do kiss her..

@SecondLeadQueen so what does that mean, her having no "contract"? Anyway, aren't Thai dramas known for crossing lines when it comes to skinship? *cough* Full House *cough*

      SecondLeadQueen May 31, 2017

      No kissing contract
Like she doesn't want to be kissed for reals like lip to lip. The actor puts his thumb on her lips and kisses his thumb hahah or he kisses near her lips but the camera angle looks like they are kissing.
Usually that is the reason I love Thai remakes they have more physical contact than Korean. So I was expecting that from this too.

I hope is a lie about the contract. Because I saw he really kisses the ex girlfriend like you can see lip with lip. So if we don't see it with lead girl we know is true.

Aarg, aww, I hope it's not true, too! I agree. Thai dramas (although I've only seen like 3) generally have more contact. Also with this particular storyline, there isn't much of a reason for physical contact since he practically hates her for 3/4 of the drama length.. For me, in the Korean version, there was only one scene where I feel like the couple actually had a real kiss and that was when Shin was being forceful and "staking his claim" at Yool's birthday (I think that was the event, I watched the original like 5 years ago so I don't remember).. which I wasn't too stoked about because consent is mandatory and that needs to be shown in media too! Otherwise males get the wrong idea -__-

True but from what I seen Thai dramas add more physical contact in there dramas. If I remember right in the Korean drama the lead guy kisses the ex girlfriend once. In this drama he has kissed her twice already. Also he keeps trying to get near the princess here but she says NO or runs away.
Yeah I see that in Korean often where the guy tries to take advantage of the girl or forces her to do things. That is bad!

Does anyone know why aren't they really kissing? Like lip contact? I saw she is 23 so is not the age thing.
