My first review ever, so please understand if isn't really good:
Story: I really liked the plot of this drama since it's different and unique. The lives of 3 gay/queer friends (Gus, Golf, Kim) and Natty, their best girl friend, who is always there to support them.
What I really like is that towards the middle of the drama it starts to appear a love line, which I really enjoyed and supported so read moremuch!
Acting/Cast: I didn't knew any of the actors when I started watching it, but I really enjoyed. It doesn't have an over the top acting but at the same time it isn't boring either.
Music: I like all kind of music, it doesn't really matter the genre or country, so I guess not everyone would agree with me. Still, I believe it has good songs through out the drama.
So with all that being said I would definitely rewatch this drama and definitely recommend it!
This is not just your regular gay Thai comedy. It is much more than that.
Upon looking at the promotional posters and trailers, I instantly thought this would be the sex comedies that I had come to expect from some gay Thai dramas. After watching the first episode, I was pleasantly surprised.
The story is simple but unique in its premise. The characters are all so different and have their own flaws read morethat the series doesn't feel ashamed to make fun of and exploit.
Under the sexual humor, there is a very serious message. It explores homophobia, infidelity, sexually transmitted diseases, and complicated love.
If you want something different from your dramas, I recommend this drama. Diary of Tootsies makes you laugh, cry, and cringe.
Both dramas follow a group of LGBT+ friends who go through real-life scenarios. Gay Ok Bangkok has a more serious and mature tone while Diary of Tootsies is a bit more comedic, yet both dramas touch on realistic story plots.
Yes. Trans and drag are very different. Also, a person can be gay and trans, or one or the other, or many different combinations. Sexuality and gender identity/expression are separate things, combined in many different ways. If you mismatch your socks, you'll understand.
in thailand they generally don't make a distinction between sexual orientation and gender identity, so someone who's seen as a stereotypically flamboyant gay man is assumed to be a kathoey/crossdresser. that's the perception, that is
I really love this series... Even though it a bl that not manly... But its seriously funny and fun to watch, the two of the tootsies is so handsome and i think they would be gteat if they act manly sometimes... Anyway.. Good job and i recommend you to watch this series
Why is it better for them to act "manly"? Why are men so scared of embracing femininity? We shame men for showing even the slightest hint of feminine mannerisms. It's very sad how judgmental people can be and how society decides what is proper actions for a "man" and proper for a "woman". How about we let people behave in their natural way and love them for their uniqueness, bravery, and love and stop trying to force people into boxes. I don't know about you, but I don't want to live in a world where everyone acts the exact same way. That'd be so boring and we might as well just be robots.
I don't know if it's the subs or not, but this drama really made me laugh so much. I personally find it hilarious! ''African!!!'' ''Her ass has handled a hurricane of activity over the years!!'' LMAO I REALLY NEED THAT SECOND SEASON.
