His latest water photo shoot set by BNT is worthy enough to rival the looks and power of Water God Habaek himself!
Currently Watching: The Bride of Habaek
Wondering what to watch next that has equal parts fantasy, romance and humor? Wanting something after Goblin, with hopefully less tears? I know I do, and so I’m watching: The Bride of Habaek.

If you are bored or a fan of pretty people not acting well, well this is the drama for you!

I adore NJH & Gong Myung. Thought Crystal couldn't act but she surprised me here. But SSK doesn't work in this drama. You can tell they casted people on name a lone and didn't bother to do chemistry reads.

This is a perfect of example of having great base work (the manhwa) read more and when you misdirect and miscast something. This really had potential to be great. Especially from the snippets we got before the show started. Stunning cinematography (aside from their powers) but this drama 10 episodes doesn't seem to be mounting up to much about anything. But leads have no chemistry at all and acting seems dry and very stiff.

Worth carrying on? Not for me. Checking out of the drama. Good luck!

I think the supporting characters kind of ruin this episode. I like the main actor/actress. I don't know why people think the main actress is annoying I think other actresses are more annoying in Korean dramas like the one in my love from the moon or goblin, (the main actress in goblin is so childish) couldn't stand them so I dropped those one. The reason I am dropping this one is because read more it's getting draggy and boring. I also like the music but it's not enough to make me stay. Maybe I'll watch it again in the future

- Both dramas have main male lead with powers
- Both dramas have Female lead always by the male leads side
- Both dramas have Female lead slowly falling for the male lead
- Both dramas have Female lead Not know about the male leads powers
- Both dramas are really cute and funny to watch

The idea is the same, a man with supernatural powers meets his love, through twists of fate. Their relationship develops as hardships appear along the way.

The lead is incredibly attractive and mesmerizing in both dramas, there's no one who will remain indifferent. Goblin has a "shy" lead while "The Bride of Habaek" portraits a very caring God who supports his Bride in those moments where she most needs it.

Both dramas contain life-threatening situations where the men save this bride is the most coolest way possible. The drama will hook you from the first episode.

Lastly, the soundtrack is GOOD! (the Goblin soundtrack has already become a hit :).
In conclusion: if you like dramas where the leading man is a strong, handsome (even sexy), powerful, with a God-like attitude and at the same time very gentle God - these both are not ones not to be missed!

Somehow all the hate on SSK reminds me of all the namlee fans on Instagram that's always on SSK's page to hate on her like literally everything she's posts you'll see a namlee or LSK fan that post some pretty shitty things which is so annoying n shows how immature they are cause this is just an act but they're acting like its the end of the world

the main character really ruins the drama for me..... I CANNOT STAND HER CRYING. everyone else is great. great acting except her.

The Bride of Hoo Ye.... sigh. i wish that was the title.

+1 to that. Or better yet...let it be the title of season 2. I would happily watch 16 (or more) episodes devoted entirely to romance/relationship and story/plot development between Hoo Ye and So Ah. Ah, well...we can only dream. *sigh*

Always liked Im Joo Hwan's acting! Would be great to have a whole series with CEO Shin as the focus. Not saying that I don't appreciate Nam Joo Hyuk's visuals hahaha

I usually go along with the story and fall in love with the protagonists however just like to many others this time the opposite happened. I am so rooting for CEO Shin... His life story is the most intriguing here and his acting captivated me, what I cannot say about the main couple and their boring on-and-off relationship with lots of drama and tears.

I love this drama...maybe my taste is less popular... I also loved My Shy Boss, Radiant Office and My Sassy Girl..all of which people dropped almost at the start because they couldn't handle the lead actress acting crazy, wild, or emotionally challenged. These are the personalities I find become the most endearing transformation through love stories...There is a beauty in the process of the leads seeing one another for who they really are despite their weaknesses or past... and then a maturing process happens a door to sincere friendship, loyalty and lasting love is opened. Habeak may not be the best drama I have seen this year, but it is one of the ones I'm happy I started and look forward to seeing it through to the end.

I also loved the female leads as Princess Hye Myung (My sassy Girl), Chae Yeong Shin (Healer), Chae Ro Woon (Introverted Boss), Joo Jang M (Marriage Not Dating), and others.. as you...I loved so much!!!! But, Yoon So Ah isn't like them (in my opinion)... She's really very boring... your screams and without patience.. ugh!

True...the other leads manifested a type manic behavior when dealing with past trauma, where Soah on the other hand played as a suppressed/depressed personality born out of years of unresolved hurt and pain after being neglected and later abandoned as a child by both her parents. Her character's coping mechanisms for having a lasting relationship has pretty much shut down, thus she is always self-protecting her emotions/heart...she dreams of escaping her misery ... fleeing Korea..running from her day to day her life. Soooo ...Yes it can be less colorful than a manic character, to watch her journey....but I don't find it less meaningful. I guess part of it is the fact that I work with people who are dealing with unresolved trauma so I find either side of the spectrum interesting... people can be on either side of the fence, no two people process what life hands them the same way

Idk why but I actually like yoon soah characters it shows a more realistic side of life on how's she's weak n gets hurt easily but can't really do much cause that's basically how life is not everything is fair n not everyone's happy or content with their life. Also not all are emotionally stable there's many out there that aren't which I find that was soah when her dad left n how she just wants to leave everything behind to be in another place that she believes is better her character is actually very intersting by helping others out even tho she's not in her best moments

Dramas like this make me realize what a weird taste i have when it comes to dramas coz strangely enough I'm enjoying this. To me, bad chemistry or a boring plotline don't really matter when I'm watching a drama. I can find one little thing that I like about the whole drama and continue watching it till the end. And then there are certain dramas that are really good (take Goblin for one, since everyone keeps comparing Bride of Habaek with it) but then there's that one little thing that bothers me so I can't even complete it (yes, I ended up dropping it...) I don't even know why I'm rambling about this here.

I may have odd taste too. I like this drama too... but I also like a lot of dramas where people complain about not liking the lead actress.

I'm enjoying this drama as well, but in no way is it better than Goblin - I loved Goblin very much.

Honestly with how boring the rest of the cast is, I do consider him the main character. Would really love more of his story rather than whatever this is.

I think this drama could be better if this story could be about Ahn Bin and Mu Ra. -.- Or... nah. Any character can't save this drama already.

After watching episode 14 , I was thinking on what was shown previously... I'm already thinking on the possibilities attached to those hints given in this production. I already know how the original story in the manwha ends...but I don't know what to expect as an ending in this spin-off.

I enjoy this drama because I put my brain on hold & watch the pretty LOL The individual scenes & scenarios make a kind of sense - it is the overall plot that meanders everywhere! At least the characters are pretty consistent so it's watchable for me, although I've been wondering if I just turned the subs off I might enjoy it just as much (I DO understand about a third of the dialogue raw...)

I get that not all are gonna like this drama but why is it always same people who keeps on bashing it like okay we get your point already so why are you here all the time just to comment that you don't like it cause there's many people here who actually enjoy it

It's just a natural human reaction to cool off by throwing a tantrum, it can't be helped the same way when we like a certain thing and can't help it but share how good it was. So all those hateful and good comments towards this drama cannot be prevented.

I do believe she's baffled by the continuing tantrum from people who said they dropped it after the first few episodes. I certainly have been upset by a drama & gone to rant about it - but then I'm done - if I drop it I walk away.

Like i said i understand that not all are gonna like it but like @teleri said is that most people said they dropped it so why are they still here bashing it all the time now that just not liking it anymore that's more like hating on it

Chingu, drama watching should be an enjoyment not assignment. Drop this one and find another that will be worth your while second half is still equivalent to 8 hours of your life.. hehe (>‿◠)✌

Yeah.. i would suggest you the same... as you have only spend about 8 hours.. If you're struggling to continue watching this then it's better to start something new.
