This drama is of 50 Episodes. I remember waiting every sat and Sundays for this. Okay let me start with the basic story, It's not about the father actually ! The title of the drama says "FATHER" , but the drama revolves around the rich heiress who is living off poor and her grandmother locked up and in the other end we have a brother who lost his brother and taking revenge on the entire family. In this drama ...The whole family will under go heavy problems and pain.... But the father takes care of them all. They get through each and everything,.
BEST Family DRAMA EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the middle of this series... You might feel so hard to watch because of the problems and pain..Most of them said that the writers were being stupid and dragging but in the end you will understand everything so don't worry. Just watch this amazing drama ! When it comes to long drama's MBC gives us only the best. Now The characters ----- Lee Tae-Hwan and Park Eun-Bin are so cute together.

My favourite scenes would be the Taiwan, the library , the room ...Everything actually !!!!!!! Kim Hye-Ok plays the role of Mother lol, She literally faints off whenever something happens to her kids lol. This drama has a lot of family moments.Especially the Kang Hee-Sook (Shin Dong-Mi) and Seo Hye-Joo (Kim Sun-Young) scenes. I bet you all will hate Bang Mi-Joo. LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST ....Lee Hyun-Woo Lee Hyun-Woo Lee Hyun-Woo Lee Hyun-Woo Lee Hyun-Woo Lee Hyun-Woo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He si the one who is coming to KOREA !! for REVENGE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did i love this drama ? YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. No words can mention it. This drama was life.

I stumbled on this show purely by Chance as was browsing Lee Tae Hwan dramas.Started it without any expectations and was totally blown away.

The show starts slowish as all the characters get introduced.Basically,a large family whose patriarch and matriarch have settled their children and are ready to enjoy their last days in peace and quiet.Suddenly, all the children (families in tow) start moving back in the old home and the elderly couple realize they are back to square one-only this time the children claim-I'll take care of you.

Then, the plot picks up steam as a mysterious stranger moves into the neighbourhood. He is polite, courteous and well mannered with the residents of the neighbourhood externally ,but seems to have an axe to grind with the people in the neighbourhood and especially the patriarch of the family mentioned earlier. He is also looking for his long lost brother.

Kim Jae Won really aced it in this role which resembles Edmond Dantes from the count of Monte Cristo. He is bent on revenge but ends up falling in love with the daughter of the family, Lee Soo Kyoung. Their OTP moments are worth cherishing on the show, elevated no doubt by the fact that Lee Soo Kyoung played one of the most sassy characters ever in Kdrama, throwing the revenge seeking hero off balance. Brilliant acting by the pair.

I saw park eun bin for the first time here and she was pretty! LEE Tae Hwan was awesome. The family members stories were also interestingly fleshed.

He show was never boring and I ended up watching the 50 episodes show without skipping a single episode!

ENDING :
If nothing else, watch the show for its superb ending and the way it ties up everything beautifully. One of my fave family kdramas!

Watch it if you like skipping one couple

I was looking for a family drama and after watching father is strange i thought this will be a good drama to watch. I liked the story but i didnt like the character of lee soo kyung ( Han Jung Eun) ,it was annoying to watch a 30 year old behaving like a 16 year old.I dont think that was what the character should have been.Bubbly character is cute but the person who is acting it should know what she is doing. It was really poor acting. I usually like bubbly character but in this drama she made it annoying.I have no idea how they took her as main lead for this role. She might be good in mature role not the bubbly type. And she being dumb all the while was very irritating too.Another actor i didnt like was president Bang,he didnt justify as a villian at all.His laugh was funny.Every other actor done a good job.

I liked the story but I didnt understand why would you forgive someone who have killed your parents and go and visit them in jail.I dont think it is right thing to do...You can forgive but how can you go and meet the person every week.and be sympathetic towards the daughter. It was total nonsense.

Rewatch value :No.

This was an okay drama. Typical revenge storyline, manipulative ML but the one thing that made me so mad which is why I am writing the review is the character of FL. She was a clingy doormat all the way. I had thought the FL in Playful kiss was clingy, but not this one puts that to shame. Realising how coldly he treats her, doesn't invest in her much, abandons her, breaks up with her in the worst ways even pretends to go out with her sister, she still clings to him begging him to love her. To think that was a 30 year old woman doing that. She ignored everyone who seemed to point out the obvious red flags with rhe ML but believes this one new guy who shows time and again that he's got ulterior motives.a character which seemed really cool at first was turned lovesick teenage fangirl pretty soon

It's watchable...

The name of the game is to make everyone related to one another. Lost children, swapped children, hidden identity and birth secrets, everyone gotta be an extension of the big family tree somehow. The characters' tree is absolutely massive and confusing, it took me a hot minute to mentally arrange everyone's connection to one another within the family. There are 4-5 generations all moved in together from the great great parents to the kids' kids even their relatives and in-laws.

Park Eun Bin might be the shortest adult character in the drama even the grandma is taller than her,
meanwhile Lee Tae Hwan is the tallest character in the drama. Their massive height difference made them cute together, she can't even reach his nipple lol. On the other hand, it's quite ironic how cheesy their love story is while both of them are working on producing a cheesy romance drama.

The drama's biggest downfall is the vengeful male lead David Lee. One of the worst poorly executed revenge stories in a "family" drama ever. It simply doesn't fit the narrative or the atmosphere. Even more it ruins any graceful progression and resolution the story would have had. This is also why David Lee and Jung Eun story sucked royally. With how this ordeal took place it was impossible to give them a decent ending. Overall, the drama is watchable 4.5/10 .

50 EPISODES BUT WHY NOT?

HONESTLY, it is an older drama so there will be cringe moments and out of trend cliche's but... OVERALL it was pretty good!

The humor is actually cheeky and it's long bc it really goes into depth of each family's hardships, growth, wholesomeness, character development etc etc.

I truly loved all the characters - really portrayed their part so well!

Each family taught so much about life - the importance of family, revenge, forgiveness, studying, independence, wealth, respect, and just so much more... I really recommend if you're in for a show to put in the background but still want something that will want to keep making you watch the next episode!!

Father, I’ll Take Care of You is a nice drama to watch while waiting for a great one. This family drama has enough annoying characters that become more likeable at the last three episodes. The drama has family issues, office romance, strong male leads, and a revenge plot. Both leading couples did a very good job delivering their characters and had good chemistry. Lee Soo Kyoung deliver a fantastic portrayal of the seemingly rambunctious and complicated Han Jung Eun that imparts wisdom, love, and compassion towards her loved ones. Park Eun Bin as Oh Dong Hee and Lee Tae Hwan as Han Sung Joon bring a tad of fresh air to the drama with their loving commitment toward each other and tacit understanding of their circumstances. Although the drama drags at some point and the revenge plot goes on for too long, the best part could be the last episodes when the family really comes together to protect one another. The show is entertaining, enjoy it!
