It is similar in the way that they are both about family a long running drama, where you follow both the older and younger generation. Family constellation and love and relationship.

Both contain a family oriented plot.
There are many similarities in the two dramas e.g. the plot lines, drama length etc.

A very big family living together.
With many daughters and one son.
One overwhelmingly cute and sweeeeet couple.
The same mother actress, but totally different personalities.
So entertaining and very funny.

The storyline is mainly about how their father deals with the children. Which is quite similar. Nice plot and it will keep you going. Super love for family dramaa!

If you'd like another slow-paced, sincere and kinda long but SO worth it drama with family value, then My Golden Life or My Father is Strange is one filled with that .
The stories are different but they both make you think of your family and close friends. And you grow close to all characters in the stories.
Both stores include a fake sibling phase too.

The characters are really different and the story is significantly different. BUT, the type of emotional feelings you get from watching are very similar. The drama between family members are very similar.

Both have a father having a restaurant and a person coming to their life as a fake son. In both, the father has three daughters and the fake son falls in love with one of them. Both of them have Ryu Hwa Young as one of the daughters. Both are long family dramas.

Many recommendations that come from Father is Strange are usually about the family dynamic. Age of Youth (also translated as Hello My Twenties) is similar to MFIS because it also uses multiple, same-time, plot lines. In its own way, Age of Youth also creates a family throughout the time of the housemates living together. Overall, I would go as far to say I feel a more genuine and tighter connection between the characters of AOY over MFIS. I also consider every one of AOY's plots to be engaging throughout, which is what makes it one of my personal favorite dramas of all time.

Both family dramas. Watched, both dramas in one year. Both dramas are written by excellent writers and the best actor's out there. I was very sad when both dramas ended. I would highly recommend Father is strange and Father, I'll take care of you. A 10+ for both dramas????

Similarities: Both dramas revolve around a family. They both depict family drama and being there for your family no matter how much they annoy you. Both dramas are well written and acted. The eldest and the youngest daughters in both dramas are similar in personality and how they are written. Both have romance plots for the all of the siblings but it is not the main focus of the drama.

Differences: The main difference is one is a Chinese drama and one is a Korean drama. MYIS is a longer in episode length (52 episodes) than The Bond (36 episodes). The Bond takes place between the 1980s-1990s in China; where MFIS takes place in 2010s in Korea. MFIS has more comedic elements but The Bond does have some light humor. The father in MYIS is a likeable father despite the flaws. The father in The Bond is not a likeable character but is well written. The father is more of a main character in MYIS than compared to The Bond. The mother has pasted in The Bond; where the mother is alive in MYIS.

I loved both dramas and highly recommend watching both.
