Do you guys think there will be any romance? It is in the genre description but I'm starting to doubt that anything like that will happen. Honestly it is hard to imagine them as a couple, she would definitely be the boss, lol. Still I like some romance in my dramas…… At the same time we have a lot of scenes with her in-laws, maybe it is a sign that divorce will not happen. But at the same time when one of the leads says "love is just hormones and you can control it" we know what usually happens later on, hehe. Oh.
It is okay for me if her relationship with her husband and not the detective will get better and more "romantic", but he would have to change his character and values first. Their views on justice are fundamentally different and I am afraid when she finds out what kind of person he is at work she will become very miserable in this marriage.

Yes, but they need to fix the things before because she is married. Meanwhile they probably continue as partners while developing romantic feelings, they should become a couple only in the end.

I'm trying to like it, but it's so frustrating to watch. Cases drag for several episodes with incompetent cops. The whole family situation is absurd. Everyone shouts all the time. Does it get better from episode 5 onward?

Hmm for me this show has been consistently good and enjoyable so far, I don't think it has changed much since the 5th episode. I guess if you hadn't liked it before your opinion will not change. It still has scenes with the mother-in-law and the 7th and 8th eps are about one case.
I think this drama is more of a comedy+mystery genre than a serious detective/thriller. Ahdjumma is the one who is competent in solving cases there and this creates all the fun. The main guy – real detective – mostly provides information and uses his fighting skills.

I actually like how it's not usual serious thriller or procedural, the tone is unique and when I'm trying to fix it in my head it only comes worse. If she wasn't married and that whole plotline wasn't there, the whole drama would automatically fall into different type. Probably with a younger, conventionally prettier heroine and stronger romance (Girl who sees scents?). I like its quirkiness and it's visually very pleasing. Just still can't wrap my head around the idea of a grown-up woman sneaking around and the whole conflict of her struggling to take part in cases is getting tiring quickly. How much longer does she have to prove she's smart enough.
I'll give it another chance one day.

It is so funny how in the 7th episode they did everything a couple usually does on their first date in romcoms but for all the wrong reasons…

Reading the comments i sometimes wonder, do people understand the concept of being in a relationship. How can some people "ship" the female lead with someone else when the woman is already married? I hope this way of thinking is limited in the fake world of kdramas because, in real life, is seriously fucked up.

First this is fictional, second even if its not fiction, a young girl lost her parents and she was obviously a student at the time got picked up and cared for by a sweet oldlady. The female lead was obviously a student with no way of supporting herself. Years pass and she is married to the boy of that family. Now the female lead has no dream and shes depressed as hell. Her eyes are constantly teary, shes so damn bored in her loveless and childless marriage that she plays the cop role in town. Her inlaws kids, one has phD in some shit and she talks about getting even higher studies, the man her husband is a prosecutor, while our lead is a dropout.. why? Shes obviously smarter than the real detectives. So why she didnt finish highschool while her sister in law who is portrayed as a fun outgoing and *typicaly dumb* has a phD. In this dark life that shes going with the flow in doesnt she deserve to find real love? Her hubby cares for her as a sister. He doesnt want her to find out his slimy and corrupt but he doesnt tell people hes married. I ship her with someone she loves. I want her to remove her burdens and feeling grateful and move on with her own life. She served the inlaws who saved her for too long its time to break free. If you think thats fucked up then watch school damas

Yeah, i think it's fucked up and yeah, i do understand it's fiction. And no thank you, i will not watch school dramas. Instead of wanting a couple to break up, how about deal with their problems and work for their relationship. You can have a life, career, dreams inside a marriage, you know. So how about taking your suggestion of school dramas and apply it to yourself. Real love and all

Ever been married, dear? Especially to someone who refuses to even acknowlege he needs fixing? I mean OMG this poor woman. You are soooo naive here. In REAL life, she needs to just LEAVE! Really!
