2 Moons is the perfect gay drama. I've watched it twice and am currently watching for a third time with my friends. They main characters are adorable and the cheesy romance just makes me smile. Theres nothing more satisfying than the end of season one and I'm anxiously awaiting season two. 2 Moons also really got me into Thai music. The music in it is incredible and opened a whole musical world for me. The cinematography in 2 Moons is exceptional. I've seen many gthai movies before, and most of them tend to be very amateur or poor quality, but 2 Moons is very professional and it really enhances the viewing experience.

Took a lot of patience to get through each episode with main couple's too many frozen moments & exchanged gaze that resembled more like concussion than dreamy look. Seriously, I think I got tumor from their 5-10 seconds-unmotivated-staring into each other's eyes scenes. Phana x Wayo's portrayal of their characters were so contrary to what the writer intended, there were zero chemistry between them. The story was painfully slow with very little substance. Only saving grace in 2Moons was the antagonists, especially Ming x Kit. Would love to see more of their relationship progress.

12 episodes could've easily cut down to 6. Casts weren't bad, cute enough and acting not terrible, but director & editors did a crappy job making most of what's already an unoriginal story. Still recommend watching it if you like BL. Concept is still cute and idea for BL couples, and who doesn't enjoy happy ending?

How to do everything wrong in BL

This was an example of just about everything I hate in BL. They did a few things right, but very little and definitely not enough to get me to watch 2 more seasons of this SH**.

The writing is HORRIBLE. So many times I would anticipate the great come-back a character SHOULD have said but didn't. Instead of truly exploring the characters' inner feelings, we are left with long, slo-mo shots of them staring into the distance. That might have worked if the actors could actually act and their faces displayed real emotions. But this cast (at least the 2 leads) cannot pull that off. The characters just kept repeating themselves, sometimes 3 or 4 times in the same scene. If you're not going to progress the story or characters, then just cut to the next scene. Because of that, I think 4 of the 12 episodes could have been eliminated entirely. Maybe even more.

The direction is MISERABLE. The pacing is sooooooo sloooooooow. Those long, slo-mo reaction shots. Moments where characters ask a question and no one answers EVER, they just cut back and forth and back again and forth again and back again and forth again to blank stares from the actors. Entirely unnecessary scenes, shots, sequences. Do we really need to see the judges of the Moon/Stars contest get up on stage and watch them applaud for 30 seconds? When they have no interaction with the main cast, the answer is NO.

The acting is WOODEN (at least the 2 leads). Nothing but blank faces, even during the most important and emotional scenes. Poor Yo is forced to play petrified throughout the entire series. He never looks comfortable at all. Even when he's won the popularity vote, runner-up Moon and has a boyfriend he still looks miserable. I did enjoy most of the secondary actors. Kim as Ming was very natural. He had charm, comedy, camaraderie. I also enjoyed Copter as Kit. His friendship with Tee as Beam seemed genuine. Naturally, all the actors I liked have been replaced in the sequels.

More BOOs for the music. The overly sentimental piano music that played over those long slo-mo shots was cloying. They really tried to wring out your emotions - especially when they weren't warranted.

Failed on so many levels. Can't believe how popular this one is. It's gonna take years before I'll watch the 2 sequels.

After watching SOTUS, this seems to be a pale imitation. Literally everything pales in comparison, but everything seems SO similar. The characters fall flat - it's literally the most cliche school plot: hot/badass/popular dude finally (somehow) falling in love with that quiet, shy awkward girl that's been pining after him since forever...oh wait, I meant guy. Said shy awkward guy seems to have absolutely nothing better to do with his time other than look disgruntle and angst either. Among some uninteresting hobbies.

There's no.. -oomph- or manliness at all from Yo and frankly, I don't watch BL to see het.

Okay. Other than how I don't like the character dynamics/story-line - The script is nothing special and there are absolutely no lines that hooked me. I honestly can not remember a single line any one said whereas, I can't forget at least half a dozen lines in SOTUS) I'm going to give the actors some kudos because they're just going off the script and they did well with what they had, but the main characters were nothing special and therefore I can only shrug.

I can only say, don't waste your time watching this.

Apart from the editing, which is as slow and repetitive as series are wont to be, the story progresses at a glacial pace. The Lead has no personality to speak of and doesn't emote much more than sadness. Oftentimes, his reactions are open-mouthed silence. His romantic interest isn't much more interesting. I did like some of the side characters a touch more: i.e. Beam, Ming, Kit.

It was very difficult to empathise with a character who has assorted framed photos of his crush in his dorm room. Definitely not cute.

All in all, I expect from this kind of show a fun diversion, but it was more boring than anything else.

Poor Casting

When there are gay actors (such as Neil Patrick Harris, Matt Bomer) who play straight characters professionally if a straight actor pulls a ruckus for having to play a gay character which he knowingly accepted, he is unprofessional at the best, and homophobic at the worst. This reflects on the screen as well, the main couple has zero chemistry.

Watching the footage from the shooting, I feel bad for Bas Suradej Pinnirat, who had to work with an unprofessional actor. I wonder if Bas's Character Yo was supposed to look so scared or if he was scared because of God Itthipat Thanit's unprofessional behaviour.

I know a lot of people will love this BL - and it's not as though there's anything wrong with it. But for me I felt this was one of those shows where the writers constantly told me what was happening, rather than showing me.
It's up to you whether you buy the great timeless romance between the two leads or, like me, keep waiting unsuccessfully to *see* it rather than just be told it. It doesn't help that Bass' acting is very weak and I regularly had little idea what the character was thinking.
But then I'm not the target audience for those shows so you can take that with exactly the right amount of salt.

Long Live MingKit!!

I'm on a BL kick as of this last week and I am watching as much as I can. I've watched many...or really I'm a yaoi reader. But I decided to move from pen and paper to body and mouth (that sounds a bit salacious). <---There's always something dirty when you start talking about BL.

In any event. I really liked this series. It's not one I loved. I just liked it. I have to be honest I found it sloppy. The only couple I loved and I lived for and I'm glad I came when the show had finished airing (or I would be so upset)---so that I could skip over scenes (just for this couple)---was MingKit. OMG. MingKit saved the drama for me. They were the ONLY good actors on the drama. The only two that sold me on their romance. The only two that had any sort of REAL attraction that made sense to me. The ONLY two that had screen time with chemistry that didn't look FORCED or CHEESY!!

Yes, I said it. CHEESY. Most of the drama was reading like a High School teen romance that was utterly pathetic and two leads were killing me. I was watching them be themselves off camera and if TPTB had them come across like that off screen--then the drama would be completely different for me, I think. However, the flower scene (99 bouquet crap---CRAP) . The piano crap---crap. The bed scenes...the slave crap---the phone call while drunk crap---the ugh...it was all crap. I'm sorry it was crap.

The leads---God (Phan <--Character), he can't act. He was very stiff and it was hard for him to deliver his lines with emotion. I was confused by the character all the time because of the actor. No, it's not because the character himself is confused---the actor just can't portray a confused soul. Now Pin (Wayo <--Character) can act...but his sort of, "I have gas" expression was exhausting to me. I preferred when he smiled. I wanted more of that. There were moments where they were trying to have him share moments with Kreep (Forth <---Character). Forth was having moments of development---but then not really. I wasn't sure if he had graduated or if he was still in the school --- I didn't know if he was a Moon because he said he was with Phan last year but then he wasn't with Phan's circle too much. It's bizarre but he has an attraction to Wayo.

Forth is seen time and time again in the advert paired with Jaru (Beam <---Character). Yet, Forth and Beam have little to any conversational screen time. There is no development. They are in no way paired as a couple. I could count how many times they stand next to each other on one hand or in a scene together. Yet, they're paired as a possible pair. What nonsense!!! SLOPPY!!!

Once again, what saved this drama...MingKit. Mingkwan (played by Khem) and Kit (played by Ker) are the best. They are the epitome of my ideal BL couples. I'm a pansexual. For those who don't know---I'm a personal who has no sexual orientation---meaning I'm open to anyone. I believe that love has no gender and I don't believe I was born gay or heterosexual or or bisexual or any of that shit. I believe I could love anyone. My heart and mind can direct anywhere and I have no way of denying it. I think Ming and Kit are perfect example of that. Ming and Kit dated women. Ming was on his path and didn't even think about it---didn't even see the attraction but little by little Kit wormed his way in to his heart and then it went deeper. The same way for Kit. Then sexuality came into it. It was a struggle for them--lucky for them, they do live in a society where it isn't perverse to be gay. Not to mention, they were developed. They are also good actors.

The two of them were entertaining on screen. Ming was fresh, boyish, always in a good mood, charming, sweet, and when he has his mind and heart set on something its set. While Kit is studious and regimented. He's kind, steadfast, grumpy (slight temper), extremely intelligent, attractive (his eyes--dear God, his eyes) and dependable. In the end, both are the best friends you could ever want in the world and the best friends they could ever be for each other and the best lovers they could be for each other. MingKit for life.

It could have been great, a bl classic, but it was not. The acting was bad and the chemistry of the main couple was so bad, you can hardly believe they even like each other. The main character (Yo) has zero charisma and his pairing (Pha) is just a pretty face with no talent for acting. There are two side couples, but one had no development of the story and the other saved the series. MingKit was probably the only good thing inside that big mess.
The plot is good, but they chose bad actors and a bad director, as well as a bad screen play writer.

Here's a thing of my opinion on why you must watch this series out of many. The storyline is sorta interesting like Sotus, because it is well-plotted, and not just a fling to satisfy fangirls' or fanboys' needs. To be honest, in the first episode, everything will be awkward because we are not familiar with these actors but as the time goes on, we'll be attached to it due to the chemistry they have. I love how they progress the relationship of the three main couples, and I have to admit that I love Ming and Kit's relationship.

If you're contemplating either to watch it or not, please don't have any doubts. This story deserves the best from you. It will never disappoint you, like how Make It Right has disappointed many. I've always been looking forward for this series every week. And this is the only series that has confirmed too soon that they will have Season 2 and a possibility of Season 3. There's more to this story instead of watching them having their own bubbly moments as a group of 6 boys who are in love. I hope this review will be helpful to you! Enjoy!

i think this drama is light drama....the casts were not very soulful....maybe they wanted to show their cuteness only but not for the acting...
