I started watching this drama thinking that it would be another romantic comedy drama.Cast: Ji Chang Wook and Nam Ji Hyun.Although I've seen Ji Chang Wook before (and he is an amazing actor),this was my first time watching Nam Ji Hyun (Eun Bong Hee),Choi Tae Joon(Ji Eun Hyuk). The supporting leads too have acted well.

I started with the first episode and it was good.I thought of continuing further (ofcourse because of Ji read more Chang Wook). And then....last few minutes of episode 2 and it turns out that this is a thriller-suspense drama! (haha I hadn't seen the teaser or the trailer before selecting this drama )Also, tbh, I love mystery-suspense-thriller dramas and the fact that I wasn't expecting this one to be a thriller-suspense drama was even more awesome! That's when I decided that I just had to continue with this drama!

Since Episode 3 till now, this drama is just awesome! The story is great! The actors have played their roles well .I like Ji Wook & Eun-Hyuk bromance (lol) and ofcourse the chemistry between the main leads (Ji Wook and Eun Bong Hee.) :D So I'd like others to watch this drama while it's airing(although it's a suspense drama, the more you wait, the more exciting it is to watch the new episode.Btw there are 2 episodes every week so YAY! although they are 30 mins each;so that would be an hour altogether).
Finally,I am hoping for more suspense as there are almost 14 episodes more to go.
And I hope for a happy ending. Overall:9.5/10

His royal hotness, Ji Chang Wook, comes off strong and effective Atty. No Ji Wook, as expected of his range as an actor. He has the ever familiar gestures and stares that he has used to charm his love interests, but it works. Maybe I have been charmed by his bright smile and finely chiseled face, but he is one of the most formidable actors in K-dramaland no doubt.

Support characters, Atty. read more Byun and Atty. Ji Eun-Hyuk, are also effective and lovable. Nara's Cha Yoo Jung leaves a remarkable performance, as well.

The female lead is a big disappointment, lacking maturity as an actress, and lacks more depth as a character; she is supposed to be a black belt in Judo(?) and quite a strong/tough woman and yet she comes off weak and easily shaken.

It is almost painful to watch her acting opposite Ji Chang Wook. Nam Ji-Hyun's take on the character Eun-Bonghee is quite poor. She uses the same character reference for the provincial girl she portrayed in Shopping King Louie; which worked then for that show. Sadly, the same portrayal for a different and more empowered character in Suspicious Partner is flat out failure. She acts all cute with a cutesy voice that is not typical of a supposed confident lawyer / (acquitted) murder-suspect / mature lady, which is disturbing. Could she possibly be a miscast?

Can the writer do something to make character Atty. Eun Bonghee, smarter and more confident please? She is clearly surrounded by danger and yet she goes out alone at night, etc? Gosh, please help this character, writer-nim!

From the same writer, the balance of romance/comedy and thriller is really good. And the criminals are very interesting in both of those dramas.

I see a lot of comments about Chang Wook and mixed reviews for Ji Hyun, but can we take a second to appreciate the awesome job that Dong Ha is doing by portraying the villain? I'd never seen him before suspicious partner, but I'm glad I found him, he just does such an amazing job on grasping the different personalities of Jung Hyun Soo, he left me speechless. I think that the only reason I've been following this show is because of him and my curiosity of whether they're going to continue making him a cunning and smartass character or if they're going to mess him up (really hope not). I get so amused by how he plays with the law that I can't bring myself to hate him (that and as an extra, how good looking he is).

This is my favorite drama of the week, it's ratings in Korea are continuing to climb (8-10%). I love the chemistry between the leads as much as those within the office... The script is intriguing on various levels, the pace is perfect... Ep.27-28 was one of the best so far! I can't wait for Wed.

yaa exactly and its actually an achievement considering the fact that its being aired along with two historical dramas as they are usually preferred by older generations and SP has also been topping 2049 rating ,naver and is also on 1st spot on drama fever is am so happy for SP they deserve this and much more

If you only watch the drama for JCW then it's okay. The thing is you guys keep pointing out that you hate the female lead saying she's annoying and a little girl and stuff. WHAT'D YOU FEEL IF PEOPLE DO THAT TO YOU??? I'm sure you will end up jumping from a bridge. Do you guys even have a feeling or not?? She's still a human. If you don't like her than let her be and at least treat her like a human-being. Don't be a jerk by attacking her ig with hateful comments.. After all, she's still more successful and well-known than people who are keep ranting "I don't like her." "I hate her." "She's annoying." "She's a little girl."

p.s: i know people here are posting their own opinions and everyone has right to but that doesn't give anyone right to trash an actress she is just a human doing her work for you it maybe your opinion but for few people its clear hate and i see how smartly few people are covering up hate comments with so called "my opinion" i am not a fan but i can't tolerate such nuisance
everyone is free to post their opinions but even after knowing how sensitive few people can get when it comes to their favorites i think its okay to be little careful but instead you say how you are not being allowed to post your opinion no one's stopping you just be little considerate and this is being asked only for negative comments because see positive comments dont effect anyone but negative comments do there are better ways to post your opinion even if you are being counter attacked lets try to understand the other persons feelings again if you are being attacked for your comment in an insensitive way like being abused or something then you can definitely give your solid reply
everyone here are k drama addicts we should understand how attached a person gets while watching a drama lets not hurt each other people lets try to be considerate of each other as much as possible everyone is sensitive when it comes to hearing things they don't like

I'm at ep. 22 and I'm considering to drop it.
After a great start the main plot goes on stanby. I don't know if this is due by the new split-episode, but the show became draggy and I'm bored to death.
In addition I don't feel chemistry between the main couple, all the bickering disappeared, their dialogues become boring and there are too many sweet scenes when the relationship between the two lead, not only is not yet official, but is a continuous pull and spring.
    Secondary protagonists are almost non-existent.
The only fun scenes are reserved for the two moms!

I actually didn't know who PBY was either until Strong Woman! I watched it for Hyungsik at first but loved her acting so I watched TWB movie she was in with Song Joong Ki. I binged SW for 3 weeks whilst I was sick - completely obsessed, its shameful really! lol. The Best Hit is my new obsession. I didn't know who anyone was except for Min Jae courtesy of Goblin. Its honestly the best drama on at the moment for me. I love his side braid! I've actually put Nam Ji Hyun's previous drama Shopping Louis on hold because I don't want it to end. Same sort of mannerism as Bong Hee in Suspicious Partner. I want to watch Flower Boy Next Door but I don't like Park Shin Hye's acting so I probably wont watch it but I'll see what else YSY is in. :-) I'm still new to Kdrama so I'm still unfamiliar with a lot of actors/actresses.

OMG you and me both the same, lol I knew everybody from The Best Hit but MinJae lol Yoon Shi Yoon I have watched all his dramas except Flower Boy Next Door I liked all the male leads but as you I dont like Park Shin Hye so I avoid her dramas......and I am knew as well like 1 year and a half but Im obsessive so if I start something completed I have to watch it. For YSY I recommend you Me Too Flower, King of Baking, Mirror of the Witch, and High Kick (his first drama). I love Ji Chang Wook but his last 2 dramas I had dropped them because of the co-leads. I fell in love with him in Empress Ki, Kara Secret Love (he was an angel) and Healer.

lol its very rare to find someone with the same taste as you. :-) Its nearly 1 year for me, I started with Taiwanese and then my friend suggest i try Korean and I've been hooked ever since! I'll definitely give any drama a try as long as the story is good and there's good acting.

I started with Kdramas, then Tdramas and JDramas and also Lakorns (Thai dramas) the latter are too intense at times...But I think Koreans have the best dramas so far...well enjoy it...if you need any suggestion or anything you can write me since it seems we have almost the same likes ;)

SP is an excellent drama i feel its quite underrated plotwise it has really developed well

nam ji hyun's acting is seriously amazing her i love her expressions all the hate she receives is from those clingy fan girls ... in terms of chemistry i think jibong are the best couple in kdrama land and about the ratings its quite difficult to get two digit rating with current ongoing dramas in the same time slot with 2 historical dramas concurrently airing as we all know they are preferred by older generations but i think suspicious is doing quite better and moreover it was promoted less its ratings almost reach near ruler and dont forget suspicious partner also tops naver its just that the timing is bad but who cares i dont know about korea but we international audience love it and it also tops on dramafever and 2049 ratings(source:soompi) so i'm quite proud of it and of course the drama deserves more love i just cant wait for upcoming episodes

episode 28 gave me such amazing feels and that last scene and jibongs chemistry was so awesome my friends at beginning thought they wont have good chemistry but yesterday they called me and were like wow and then i "acts surprised" :P

i have been just browsing different sites about suspicious partner but noticed this site has way too insensible comments about drama all the newcomers who wanna watch this drama watch it don't hesitate all the negative comments here are made by few ignorant people i am not saying that this drama is totally perfect in the beginning you may find it slow but trust me now its like the most amazing drama i'm a ji chang wook fan now in healer i liked him but wasn't a fan but sp his acting is marvelous
