STORY: Porsche left to work in another city, leaving Emma behind. She meets Night who has had a crush on her since High School. Pick still can't figure out what to do with Rome, but now another guy, Din has started hanging out with Rome which makes Pick jealous.
ACTING/CAST: All great actors, so nice to see many of them come together from different series.
MUSIC: Great music.
REWATCH VALUE: Yeah, just read morethe parts with Rome and Pick.
OVERALL: I am kinda sad to see the warm, sweet charm of Season 1 disappear. They definitely went in a different direction. Porsche is very moody and not as charismatic as before. Adding more cast has added much more tension. It feels like the innocence was lost between seasons.
Some of the same actors as Honey Puppy 1 & 2. This was an amazing show with a great story. If you enjoy BL the main couple is gay, no background, half-hearted love story where the couple never gets to be happy.
Definitely, definitely not as good as the first season. Not entirely sure why they went the direction they did with Din's character. But that 'hidden scene', though!!! <3 Ahhh everyone got a happy ending, even Friend and Night!! That's always the best <3 Part of me hopes that they do something further with Pick and Rome, but if they don't, leaving it right where it sits is good, too!! <3
He's a talented young actor! I guess it was a good way to flex his acting skills, but goddamn. It seemed like such a waste of a character.
I just watched the 4th ep on the gmmtv YouTube. I'm looking forward to that particular storyline because it seems to be setup pretty good. It saves me from wanting to hang my head against a wall watching the Dance Sport group.
Off and Gun have toured together, put out a photobook, so they are a popular BL "couple". Perhaps a third season will happen, or maybe a spin-off, or something else they would star in. Never underestimate the power of fangirls?
The thing with Din was unnecessary. The writers could have found a better way to resolve the issue of Pick's love for Rome. And it still doesn't change the fact that Pick was talking to someone else. I ❤ Sing. I hope he gets lots more work. Watch him in Slam Dance.
Porsche + Emma: I'm glad it ended on a happy note. The chemistry and sweetness is still there and it SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE all freaking season instead of the last 5 minutes.
Pick + Rome: I still think Rome could do better but he got want he wanted: a commitment from Pick.
Night + Emma: Aw, glad they added that extra scene. I liked both characters in general.
I think pick and rome are missing more scenes. Something missing definetly... there should more. A season 3 is not ness. Here . Not much to tell more. But i kinda wanted a better closure to pick and rome. I feel ep 8 was rushed...
I felt it was rushed too. Seems a shame because they really did spend a lot of time on those two just to wrap it up so quickly. Rome always had the best lines in the series but not much to say in the end.
Definitely agree with everything you said. When we found out that Din had set Rin up, my first thought was "Okay but Pik was still seeing her behind Rome's back". And Rome was actually quite solid through the series; he didn't put up with all of Pik's shit all of the time. But he did sometimes have a bit of a blinder where Pik was concerned. I'm glad I watched the season though, I almost didn't but then I just fast forwarded a good chunk of every episode and it was quite watchable.
GRR. I knew that jerk would make Rome cry eventually. He better make it right next episode. Last one, right? I guess in a way I'm OK with it this ending. With the exception of PickRome, this season wasn't all that great. Bet there won't be a third.
The story between the main couple in season 2 is a joke, this season is only 8 episodes, I'm on episode 6, and since episode 1 until now, they never physically met or interacted with each other, each of them kept hanging out with another girl or man, it was ridiculous. I skipped all the scenes of the main couple and only watched the bl couple, and I didn't regret it.
LOL. Yeah, where the hell are these writers going with this? I really could care less if Porsche gets back with Emma. Can that even happen now? Maybe the writers will use that timeless get-people-back-together trick and have Emma trip over a bubblegum wrapper and fall into Porsche's arms.
Frankly the only reason I keep watching it is for Rome.
