The story revolves around Take Seiji, who quits his job after three months. With no dreams, no savings, and a poor relationship with his family, he becomes a hikikomori. However, after his mother falls ill with depression, he ends up having to take on a part-time job at a construction site. Because of that, he soon decides to work towards rebuilding his life: "Even though I'm just a freeter, I'm going to read morebuy a house for the sake of my family." One of the people he meets at the construction site is Chiba Manami, who graduated from a top-class university and joined a well-known general contracting firm. Manami is the complete opposite of Seiji. But while their personalities clash at first, they gradually come to understand each other. --Tokyograph

This drama was honestly much better than expected, definitely worth watching. The general plot was fairly simple but the most appealing aspect of this drama was the characters and their development throughout. Each and every one of them faces their own problems and in working towards fixing them they grow as people. This drama touches on many major issues faced by people throughout the world and also shares many life lessons.

This drama may seem a bit dragging but it's certainly inspirational because it tackles real-life problems that anyone can relate to. It's all about career, love and family and struggles of daily life. If you are looking for a drama with a depth this drama is definitely worth a try. I also find the character development great. It will leave you something to ponder about in your life. As always, Ninomiya Kazunari was great here.

Same writer; male leads starting as a big loser and have character developments to be a better and stronger person.

Main couples in these two drama start their love and chemistry in the same way: bickering with each other :XD:

Well, honestly I like Osozaki better :)
