The story centers on a couple of troupes that perform traditional lion dances at temples. Chen Jin Tie is a troupe leader who prides himself on his very traditional performances. His ex-best friend, Lin Lung, is a rival troupe leader who has thoroughly embraced the blaring music and flashy set pieces of modern entertainment. The two men get along about as well as oil and water, but the same can't be said read morefor their adult children, Hui Xin and Shang Chi, who develop a Romeo and Juliet-style romance. When a wealthy businessman intent on getting rid of the troupes appears, Jin Tie and Lin Lung realize it's time to put aside their differences to fight the enemy.
