Moon Embracing the Sun fans, please watch The Princess Man. Both dramas came out around the same time period (late 2011-early 2012). Both are also about romance and love stories between not just one but at least 2 couples.

Both are historical dramas. The intense love between the leads is similar. The Romeo and Juliet nature of their romance where their families are at odds is also similar. Highly recommend both as long as you're prepared for the tears

Should you give up revenge for a carefree life? Both Dramas ask this essential question. Bonus: Moon Chae Won acts in both.

They are both revenge dramas where a carefree man is transformed into a violent one through tragic circumstances.

There are also some similarities in how the father-child relationships are played out, as well as the way in which the main characters are hunted to reveal their true identities.

It might sound strange to compare a drama set in modern times with a historical drama, but honestly, if the setting doesn't bother you, then you might find these two dramas eerily similar.

-Both have ML's set on revenge against the FL's father.

-In both dramas, the MLs is first seen as light-hearted and charming, yet as the drama progresses, both ML become more serious and gloomier. Because of their darker disposition, both MLs push their love interests away.

-Both FL's are immature in the beginning (however, in Prosecutor Princess, it is more apparent). but they mature as the plot progresses.

-Park Shi Hoo is the ML for both dramas

There are plenty more similarities, but if I mentioned them, they would spoil the story too much.

From the first episode of My Dearest I was reminded of The Princess’s Man. Both are romance-centered historical dramas that begin with a light-hearted youthful feeling, but are set against the backdrop of serious historical events that darken the tone and bring the angst as the story goes on. Both take liberties with the time period, but not in a way that feels like the setting has been completely thrown out to just dress up a contemporary drama in period clothes. I even felt there were some similarities in certain scenes and aspects of the lead characters. The Princess’s Man is a beloved classic, though (so far) I think My Dearest surpasses it in the quality of the plot and depth of the story.

Both are historical dramas that deal with a 2nd born son who tries to avenge and find his family. Both have a fun and strong (although in Princess Man stronger) love interest.

Both dramas are set in the Joseon dynasty. Villains in both dramas are kings (or will eventually become King in Princess's Man). Both main couples in both dramas are kind of "Romeo and Juliet" since the parents of the female lead is an enemy of the male lead (though there is less focus romance in Iljimae). Park Shi Hoo features in both dramas.

Princess Man is the sequel to Tree With Deep Roots (not the same producers, but the kings in Princess Man are the ones that follow the kings in Tree with Deep Roots historically). There are fictional elements in both dramas, but at least the names of the kings and the ministers are all real people. Tree With Deep Roots tells some parts (although some may be fictional) of King Sejong's accomplishments and on how he created Hangul, Korea's alphabet. It started with the reign of his father, King Taejong. Princess's Man, tells the story of King's Sejong's sons King Munjong and Grand Prince Suyang and what will eventually happen to their families. Han Myung Hee (a character that features in Princess's Man) also appears as a minor character and is mentioned by name in Tree with Deep Roots.

It is also historical romance drama. It personally loved The Princess' Man! I highly recommend :)

Although The Princess' Man is more serious and intense, Hong Gil Dong also features a really great love story in the plot. They are both Sauguk/Historical dramas where the action speeds up as the episodes progress and both very well written.
