After watching the first season I wasn't sure how I'd like this one. But I was surprised and found myself actually enjoying this one just as much if not more. One this is for sure - you don't have to watch this series in order. While the story is quite similar to the first season - it's a whole new group of students and therefore new stories, new problems.

While the original Gokusen had popular names such as Matsumoto Jun and Oguri Shun, Gokusen 2 has Kamenashi Kazuya, Akanishi Jin, Hayami Mokomichi, and Koike Teppei. For those who've seen the first Gokusen you'll find familiar faces also among the cast - and a return of Kuma! One of my favorites from the first season, I was happy to see him return in Gokusen 2!

The acting was great, I loved the entire cast!

The music wasn't anything special - the theme song changed from "Feel Your Breeze" to "No More Cry" at the end which wasn't a bad song. I loved Kamenashi Kazuya's "Kizuna" that was played during the drama, though (:

I can see myself rewatching this drama sometime, but probably not for a long time.

Overall - I enjoyed it just as much as the first season. For those of you who have seen the first season - you won't be disappointed with this one. For those who haven't seen any of the seasons yet but are curious because you like the cast - watch it! (:

With the original leaving a lasting impression on me, I fully expected to enjoy this round of Gokusen. I wasn't disappointed in the least, I'm proud to say. With such names as Jin Akanishi and Kazuya Kamenashi on the cast along with brilliant actors portraying their classmates, along with the return of Kuma, this show was destined to be a hit from the start. Uplifting life lessons combined with the amusing antics of this group of high school rascals makes Gokusen 2 an enjoyable watch from start to finish. I will definitely rewatch this show anytime, and heartily recommend it to others.

I never thought that i would watch something like this. Romance is the only thing for me! But somehow i liked the storyline so i wanted to give it a try. Probably because i'm also senior in high school and my graduation is in a month. I watched first 10 minutes of all gokusen and liked this one the best so i kept watching this one. (should have started the first one)
I liked the story really much. It was funny and yet realistic. The teacher was inspiring and her teachings were so good. You can see how the students grow during the drama. Everyone's character was good and you really get to know them. The fighting wasn't that great (although Yankumi was so cool everytime) but that wasn't the main point.
Everyone did really good job. I haven't seen Nakama Yukie playing anything else but she was really good. All the main students were also good. Kamenashi Kazuya played pretty different role than i'm use to but he did also really well. Koike Teppei was so cute and charming! And Hayami Mokomichi was very cool. One of my favorites was Namase Katsuhisa who played Sawatari Goro. He was so funny and i can't believe his face! (You'll understand ones you've watched his playing)
I liked the mucis. It didn't had that big role but in some places it was really good. Plus the ending song was good.
I started this drama today and i'm already finished. I think that tells what i think about this drama. It was so absorbing! I think i will some day watch this again. This drama didn't have romance nor big plot twists but it was fun to watch it.
I recommend this to everyone who likes watch funny school dramas. It's also a story about growing up and decide what to do with your life. I think every high school student who is thinking about their future or school should watch this. It doesn't give answers but it will put you think about stuff...
You can be sure that now i'll watch the first Gokusen and then the third one. Plus all the specials and movie :)

Some people might not agree with this review, but too bad. I like it, it was funny and charming. It was like the first season though, basically it had a similar plot to the first one. It was all the same stuff, troubled students get into trouble, teacher comes and saves the day. But I didn't mind that. So if you don't care about that either then I would recommend this show.

This was a nice drama that I quite enjoyed watching, but definitely not for the storyline. The story was clicheed and repetitive, at some points very unrealistic and frustrating. The focus of every episode was to force the main character into her hero persona without giving any of the other characters the chance to truly shine.

The acting was stiff at times, but that was part of the drama's flair: Movement and character's positions weren't necessarily natural, they concentrated on posing and looking good. It's a great drama to take screenshots of but it did seem a bit ridiculous at times.

This all sounds very negative, but the cute friendships between the characters, funny and emotional scenes and the talented actors made this a worthwhile drama to watch.

I was very pleased at the absolute lack of a serious romantic subplot! I would recommend this to everyone else who enjoys platonic love more than the romantic kind. I would not recommend this to anyone who thinks romantic relationships are the most important part of any storyline - You will not enjoy this.

Standard Hero Teacher of Bad Students

I didn't watch the first season and never read the manga, but I did enjoy this show. There were some completely over the top stupid moments, but for the most part it was okay. The genuine messages the FL (teacher of Class 3-D) were well delivered. It's a story of not giving up, even if the world judges you without knowing who you really are, it's about true friendship and even family. I don't think it's meant to be realistic at all, but to give a warm feeling.

The "students" actors all did well with their acting; anger, laughter, tears, regret, etc. The FX (makeup from the fights) sucked. The OST wasn't great, but the episode music was okay. Some fight scene choreography wasn't great production wise; so obvious.

The other teachers were ridiculous and same with the parents. I would've given it a better score, then just 6.5/10 overall, if the students (at least the 5 main guys) had at least once came to the aid of their teacher or even helped her with a love interest. There needed to be a little more depth between the teacher and those 5, to make her influence more impactful. They could've done that and taken out some of the "comedy" bits of the supporting characters from the teacher's "family."

Over all the handsome guys and a strong FL, made up for the short comings.

At first, you'll think that it's just a repetition of of season 1 but no, it is not. This season has a different feel to it. And as always, very funny; especially that Head Teacher Sawatari—he perfectly portrayed the emotions as if you're watching an animated character. Seriously, Yankumi and head teacher is meant to be together, like always, in this hilarious drama. The rest of the cast are adorable and better-looking than those in the first season. :-)

The fight scenes? I think that is just spice. Actually, I think Yankumi's fighting ability didn't improve at all and is unconvincing, almost ridiculous. However, the story is awesome and very enjoyable.

I remember watching this on TV drama locally dubbed when I was in elementary school and so, this is my first rewatch. I'll probably watch it again in two years.

The OST? I love and even downloaded Kizuna by Kamenashi Kazuya. I think it's a nostalgic song like anime OSTs.

Overall Rating: 9/10 (Great)

IF IT'S KAT-TUN I COULD REWATCH THE SAME STORY FIVE TIMES

GOKUSEN 2, like GOKUSEN 1, tells the story of this caring teacher dealing with yet another class of problematic kids. One being the rich boy, and another being the poor one.

This time it stars Kamenashi Kazuya and Jin Akanishi, both members (Jin now former) of KAT-TUN, and as a fan myself of the band, and someone who has Kame as her oshi, this one is kind of my favorite. However, this season it's no different than the last one with Jun Matsumoto; heartwarming moments of kids who lost hope in adults meeting one who actually believes in them, to manga like moments that might make you laugh if you like anime or manga.

Personally, the story is the same so that's all I can say really. It's an amazing show in my opinion if you don't binge watch it, because in all the episodes it's just another story where the teacher shows the students she actually cares. I personally like it, but unless you're a fan of the actors I would not advice to binge watch it because it might get exhausting.

Besides that, it's an amazing show, very entertaining and full of handsome boys, this time with a special of the cast, and with a KAT-TUN soundtrack, sang mainly by Kamenashi, that I personally love!

[WARNING: the rating and review I give have the possibility to be subjective due to my preference for the genres, scenes or casts]

I have nothing to say, this is my favorite season of Gokusen! Ikemen paradiseeee~~~ σ(≧ε≦σ) ♡

In my opinion, this season of Gokusen is the best season of all. Besides because all the casts are very handsome, but also because the problems they face are more diverse and look a bit more complicated and unique than the problems that existed in the first Gokusen.

The casts’ acting were great too, I think don’t have to mention who are the most outstanding cast, but I will still mention it for my pleasure. It’s still Nakama Yukie (^o^) The others are doing great, but sometimes Akanishi Jin did too much it seems like overacting.

I dislike the first season, but the second one is much better. I'm glad the cast was changed. Kame is great! He should be the class leader. Even Akanishi is not bad. Aww.. and Hayami.. so tall.

I suppose the plot is more interesting too. Yamaguchi is still annoying, but funny as well. Of course, I hate the trumpets in OST... too much.

I want to tell also about Baba-sensei. Ridiculous man...

Fighto~ oh!

Don't worry, you won't be disappointed!

I was a bit hesitant starting this season, as I noticed the plot seemed really similar to s1. But it was actually a lot better than I had expected! No doubt s1 is still better imo. Obviously, we still have our naive and passionate Yankumi with her class of delinquents. But I love that the class in s2 just slightly differs from those in s1, and it just makes it all the more better.

We still have the cool and collected class leaders with their group of 5 friends, but instead of only 1 (Shin in S1 ma boi), there are actually 2 here, which I found quite interesting. And unlike Shin they seem terrible at keeping secrets too, which really made me crack up hard a few times.

I love that Kuma made so many appearances throughout the season, really proves that Yankumi still has connections with her past class, although Shin's still missing TT

Overall, I really love the story, it may be similar to s1 with her jumping into action for her students and all that dramatic life-speeches, but it still gives me the same warm fuzzy feeling, so don't hesitate and start watching it!

PS I actually love how Head Teacher seems to be accepting Yankumi's way of teaching, this is some great character development!
