Cha Yoon Hee is a successful TV drama director. Yoon Hee has been afraid of having in-laws, specifically a mother-in-law. Because of this, Yoon Hee looked for a guy who isn't closely connected to his family. If she couldn't find such a guy, Yoon Hee planned on staying single. Finally, Yoon Hee met Terry. Terry is a doctor with a sweet personality, but, most importantly, he has adopted parents from America. Terry read morehas no recollections of his real parents and was adopted by the Korean couple in America as a young child. Yoon Hee's marriage life seems all set. But her marital bliss is shattered when her husband finds his birth parents and they happen to be her next-door neighbors with whom she bickers on a daily basis, and feature not one, but three sisters-in-law, and the usual array of aunts and grandmothers-in-law. Yoon Hee realizes she has married more than she has bargained for. Once again, the stage is set for a butting of the heads between daughter and mother-in-law.

I watched this drama before because of the summary of the story. As a married woman, a drama like this is really inviting especially if it's about in-law things. hahaha!

The story of this drama shows how the life of a normal family really is. You'll learn many things by watching this and it'll make you understand each situation of an individual in the family.

The actors really did a great job read more because they had shown their versatility as actors and actresses. This sitcom is long but you'll love every part of it because it'll really make you laugh and cry.

This drama is excellent and you'll never regret watching it.

This was the first family drama and also the longest drama that I have ever watched. It was extremely popular in Korea so I decided to watch it and I'm so glad I did. This is one of my favorite dramas of the year and one of the best I have seen overall. The story focuses on newly married couple Bang Gwi Nam (Terry) and Cha Yoon Hee. After moving into a read more new apartment they discover that Terry's biological parents live across the hall. This is bad news for Yoon Hee because she purposely married the adopted Terry so she wouldn't want to deal with in-laws. The drama follows them as they try to juggle their married life, work and getting to know Terry's new family. Terry's parents, uncles and wives, three sisters and Yoon Hee's family are also given their own unique story lines.

There are many characters in this drama and tons of different story lines. Although there is a lot going on the story never really drags like some 16-20 episode dramas do. It's always interesting and something is always happening to hold your attention.

The acting was great from the whole cast. If I had to pick a favorite from the entire drama it would be Lee Hee Joon as Chun Jae Yong. He was amazing in this and stood out among the talented cast. He made me laugh and cry, not to mention his fantastic chemistry with Jo Yoon Hee.

The music was good and fit the drama nicely. I really liked the use of American pop when the scene took place in a restaurant or coffee house.

I loved this drama but due to the number of episodes and the monster that is my plan to watch list, I don't see myself re-watching it anytime soon.

Overall this is a great drama and definitely worth watching.

WHTMF is quite similar to UY in the sense that there is a lot of development within the family that you see over a period of time. Moon Tae Joo reminds me a lot of the husband in UY and by the you see a lot of love within the family. Both very funny at times and also they both have serious moments. These two are part of the longer dramas that I really enjoyed watching. I hope you do too. <3

Both are family dramas with cute romances, light angst and heartwarming situations

This is the first family drama that I have COMPLETED watching! I've also watched other family dramas but most of the time come midways I drop them. Unexpectedly it didn't happen here. LOL.

I didn't regret every minute I spent watching this very long drama. So worth it! I've just finished You Who Came From The Stars and it was good, but for me Unexpected You is still writer Park Ji Eun's best drama.

I'm not really sure, either 9 or 10. But in episode 10 they already discovered that Bang Gwi Nam is their son.

I thought of them more as comic relief than anything else. I honestly couldn't take them seriously as characters XP
