This drama left me highly disappointed.

I was initially looking forward to it because Joe Chen was the main female lead but then the character was a berserk. There was no consistency or proper flow in her character's development as Lin Xiao Jie. The writers might have wanted to make her progress fast but they did it TOO fast there was nothing substantial in her newly reformed persona. As for Tang Jun, read more at least him being Tom and Tang Jun at the same time was a clear cut thing. And his fondness to Xiao Jie was obvious and unwavering giving us a solid main lead. Then there's Godfrey as Gao Zi. The man is like a prince, I swooned at first sight and I was already shipping for the second lead instead of the main one. His character was quite fickle though that's why I still liked Tom despite the huge difference in the hotness scale.

The story was subpar, the usual rich-guy-meets-poor-girl and it was all predictable I almost cried out of boredom because I was already telling myself what's about to happen. There were also scene executions in which made the story far fetched and circus-y already. There were unneeded plot lines which only made the story dragging and made the episodes longer. Over all it was tiring to watch. I only finished it because I was hooked with London's wonderful view along with Xiao Jie and Tang Jun's cutesy moment.

Oh... I also liked the soundtrack... but I'm still not recommending this as a must see drama. I would hate myself if you wasted precious drama time on this. But then again if you're a fan of the main leads... go ahead and knock yourself out with their cuteness.

Interesting show. Ticked all the stereotypical boxes, although didn't really go beyond that. The plot was both quite convoluted and also quite predictable. A lot of stuff happened and left a lot of loose ends, but the overarching story was easy to figure out way before the half way point. The show has a fairly clear divide into two parts and I thought character and plot development in the second half really read more suffered. Only the main lead male character really evolved, whilst everyone else quickly became quite stale. The second half was a very predictable, tame and unadventurous telling of a very simple and short story. The first half was a lot more dynamic and exciting. I wouldn't say the show was especially drawn out, but more could have been done to really keep us invested in the story.

The casting was really strong though, despite quite a few weak characters. Everyone performed really well in my eyes and there wasn't really anyone I could single out as a let down. The female lead especially was really impressive, as I've seen her in other shows and I hardly recognized her in this. I think the actors were let down far more by the relatively weak writing than by their actual skills.

Music was largely forgettable. Not as strong as many other shows, but not inherently bad. Not really sure what else to say about this; it wasn't really here or there.

I personally don't have any incentive to rewatch this. It was largely quite predictable and most of the characters weren't too likable. There were no huge stand out moments to really make me want to see them again.

Overall, despite becoming quite bland as it progressed, it's still a decent show worth watching. The first half of the show gets you invested in it *just* enough to make you want to see it through to the end, although don't expect anything groundbreaking.

Both shows have a strong female lead with two male pursuers. I don't want to give away the story but I will say that the first guy doesn't like her until the second one walks in. She grows stronger as the show progresses... which I love.

Same feel, same mix of business and romance, though the balance was much better in The Queen of SOP.
Both involve strong capable female lead, a caring male lead and a love triangle (unfortunately...)
Warning : Best Time's ending was extremely off-putting to me (and to a lot of other people as well I guess).

Really came to love this drama because of the amazing love triangle dynamic of Hans Zhang, Joe Chen, and Godfrey Gao! Initially watched this for the latter 2 without knowing who Hans is but I ended up falling in love with him. Just quite disappointed that they didn't linger much on the love triangle in the latter part but focused more on the war with the uncle. Otherwise, it's still a feel-good drama for me!

I'm truly and sincerely sorry but love triangles are shallow and despicable, there is no respect in love triangles, only selfishness and obsession... I superly loath love triangles, so I was glad they focused more on the war as you called it with the uncle...

I understand that it is your opinion. I was just saying that in my opinion, the love triangle in this story made it such a pleasant viewing experience for me especially that I love the main actors. Different strokes for different folks, I guess :)

A 6. This drama started off well and there were definitely some very cute moments but that last 10-15 episodes were a complete waste of time, even the ending was pretty lame. I have no idea what the writer was thinking including long boring boardroom/meeting scenes. The fight between the 'uncle' and the tang family was so laughable and unrealistic. The only commendable thing about this drama is the strong portrayal of both the main lead actress and the sister. They were tough no-nonsense confident women. Both were shown to be hardworking and intelligent (not just physically/emotionally strong like most dramas like portray as the 'unique' female lead). Very admirable characters and the kind that are hard to find in dramaland.

If it wasn't for that and the strong beginning I would give this drama a 4 or less. The ending was really .....a waste of time.

yea, i really dont see how anyone thought it was a good idea to have a 10-12 episode stretch where the leads werent in the same room for more than 5 minutes an episode. even when that starts to even out there are still eps in the end where they are get more screen time together in flashbacks than actual story development. i wish i could say it crashed and burned but that would suggest something spectacularly awful at least. no the last 18 episodes of QOSOP are less like a firey automobile accident and more like watching jaba the hut slowly stangled by his own fat while he sleeps.

"and more like watching jaba the hut slowly stangled by his own fat while he sleeps." - This is a hilarious comparison and unfortunately one that can be used for many Tdramas!

Awesome, wonderful, spectacular! Just finished this drama and I found myself with a goofy grin as I watched the last scene. It was such a great experience to watch Xiao Jie's character grow and flourish into such a marvelous person. Also, Zhang Han as Tang Jun wins your heart immediately with that charm and that smile. I began watching this initially because of Godfrey Gao since I wanted to hear him speaking Mandarin, having seen him as Magnus Bane in The Mortal Instruments movie. And boy, was it a treat to watch this man. I alternated between like and dislike for Zhi Qi but it's so hard to hate on Mr. Gao. Ultimately though, Zhi Qi finally won me over and again, I really adore the way the drama ends.
    Highly recommended!
