I've finally managed to finish this drama, after stopping and starting it again over several years. Sure, it can be cute. Eun Hye is not necessarily one of my favourite actresses, but she can grow on you. The male leads are great and the supporting actors are wonderful. Viewers will appreciate being able to experience different settings from the modern Korean high school to traditional palace life and then life in an read more average household, all over again. The soundtrack is lovely, although I thought one track in particular is used a bit to often, rendering its meaning unclear. Still, this drama just drags on way too long. Length works for some dramas, but the essence of this plot does not necessitate more than 18 episodes at the very most. This is not to say it wasn't a good story--merely that the producers took a solid plot and peppered it with a lot of unnecessary extras. Watching this once is enough; you can always find clips of the best parts on Youtube.

While Mask is a deep melodrama, Goong is just a typical romcom.
But still they have some commons:
- Ji Hoon as male lead
- A contract marriage, where the guy cant the girl, his wife, at the beginning and is mean to her
- A female lead, who comes from a poor family and just married into a rich family to help her own family out of financial issues
...both dramas are defintely worth watching.

Both have the main couple entering into a marriage against their will. The female lead in both agrees for family reasons
(to save her father's house in Full house while to save her family from loan sharks in Goong). Also, the male lead still loves his ex at the time in both.
What starts out as an unwilling relationship turns into love- with teasing, arguing, jealousy along the way.

I have a hard time finishing this drama and I WANT to finish, but at this point I feel that this drama is dragging way more then it needs to be. Would of been better if it was 16 episodes.

It's a good drama. The plot is cute, although a little dragging at times. I think the series could have been shortened a little and it would have been better. I really liked the love square, though. As a Yoon Eun Hye fan, I enjoyed seeing her so young and cute :)

YUL is a little bit nicer in the the drama than in the manhwa.....In the manhwa,Yul is manupulative,self-centered and insane....

Though the "first night" scene is cute

she is silly and lacks pride...he's arrogant, rude and I don't think they have much chemistry....and the second male leader I think is not attractive at all (he's not handsome, nor smart, nor funny...) so there's not any "competition" between him and the prince...It wasn't that bad, but wasn't good either, sorry.

    Oh god.
This could have been a good drama. Not earth-shattering, but still good. But common...! All these dirty, dirty plot moves to create moar drama!!1! are really too much for me (maybe just seen it too many times, so might be digestible for the fresher audience). For instance:

A and B are a couple. B and C *were* a couple at one point. A is aware of B and C's past. A is secretly listening to a conversation between B anc C. B talk about their past plans and dreams (together with C that is). A is hurt and runs away, not listening to the end. ...And in that moment B continues saying that this is no longer true, because they have A. A and B meet again, they argue, no one explains anything. Bam! Drama.

I just can't handle that crap anymore. >_<
