The plot is centered around the 10 year relationship between Yoon Seok Hyun and Joo Yeol Mae, who have been repeatedly breaking up and getting back together the entire duration of their relationship. Tired and looking for love elsewhere, Jung Yoo Mi turns her attention to Shin Ji Hoon and leaves Yoon Seok Hyun to look on with envy.

So I never saw the first season (billed actors didn’t attract me enough and I don’t like dramas that are associated with “Sex and the City). However the fact that Lee Jin Wook (I keep tabs on him) was back in first lead role status definitely put the second season on my radar even if I didn’t like the main female lead actress( hated her in Que Sera Sera)…

Story: I loved read more the idea that the 2 main leads had a history for a really long time before they broke up. I didn’t think it could be romantic watching their journey back to each other but man did I eat all that angst up. I also enjoyed the romances of the main female character’s 2 friends. The plot is really simple though but if you love romance than this is a drama for you! The ending though is a bit unrealistic but i dont care cause im a sucker for happy/cheesy endings=)

Acting/Cast: Like I said I didn’t like Jung Yu Mi in Q.S.S but have seen a movie she was in and I’ll admit she is a pretty good actress. She definitely changed my opinion of her as she made her character in this drama really likable. I wouldn’t mind seeing other things she does in the future. When it comes to our first male lead Lee Jin Wook, I thought he was perfectly casted as he made his sometimes jerky character human and just very likable. I was soo obsessed with them being together because their chemistry felt so intense but I liked that it didn’t seem forced. As for the second male lead Kim Ji Suk, I'm just going to say it now; I didn’t like him! I don’t know if its his acting style or his character(came off really obsessive/too eager) but yeah lets just say I wasn’t rooting for him at all to get the girl. When it comes to the supporting cast, I didn’t know the actresses who played the female lead’s friends but I loved their characters and also the actors that played their loved interests. Everyone had chemistry as far as friendships and romances goes.

Music: I wasn’t expecting to get an OST that I could put on my ipod out of this but I just really enjoyed the songs (gave off an indie vibe).

Rewatch: The drama feels short and since I had a lot of fun watching the first time I wouldn’t mind watching this every year.

Overall I Need Romance 2 is a very easy breezy watch with realistic characters.

I have to admit that going in, I did not have high expectations from the second season of I Need Romance. The plot seemed to be like too much of a rehash of the first season with themes of a long time relationship and the boredom that may set in a relationship of that kind or how when it doesn't advance to the stage of marriage, it may signal an inevitable end. read more And the thrill of a new relation with someone.
But this instalment of the INR franchise surprised me with its in-depth deconstruction of romances - what we do and expect from the person we love and how often we are torn between our feelings for two people and the mistakes we make. What a mature way to resolve a triangular love.
Hats off to the makers and I think I prefer this season over the first one.

The are very simular. They both have a love triangle, and the male leads hide their love. I honestly see them as the korean/chinese version of eachother. Both have cute romantic moments and high tension, and the theme of falling in love with someone who knows you more than you know yourself.

Same scriptwriter. You can find, that there is same main actress in both dramas.

Nice drama, got kind of tiring of the back and forth but even when I knew how it was gonna end, the last episode makes you second guess. So all in all like others have said I Need Romance is refreshing and fun to watch. By the way Lee Jin Wook looked really good in this drama, really cute too. Same for Kim Ji Suk, I almost had second lead syndrome ^_^

This drama was pleasant and interesting to watch. What I appreciated most in all the I Need Romance dramas is the fresh and realistic way in which relationships are portrayed which is not very common in Kdramas. It is obvious the writers were inspired by Sex and the City however they managed to make the story original and different in its own way and not just a copy of the American series. In the main love story here there is a lot of pushing and pulling which sometimes became a little tiring. Nevertheless it represented the perfect image of what can happen in real life. Lee Jin Wook's character is quite hateful for most of the drama, however his looks made up for it pretty well.

This...is Sex in the City. The 3 women and their personalities...it's the same thing. haha, took me 3 episodes before I realized the similarities.

Watched the second season first and honestly I liked both but the second season was better in my opinion. Because I liked the bestfriend-lover relationship.

in the end I hated both, they lack the Magic of Kdrama, the divine love and gwiyeoun moment
