While Faith wasn't perfect, it still ended up being obsession-inducing. There were so many good things that helped make up for the flaws.

But let's get the flaws out of the way first. The biggest problems were the directing and editing. There were so many scenes that could've been amazing if they had only been executed another way. The music was edited in awkwardly sometimes, too. And the fantasy aspect was underused read more as well as some characters (Jang Bin, Eum Ja, Hwa Soo, etc). As one of my friends put it "this show doesn't seem to know how good it is."

But let's talk about all the awesome that made up for the flaws. I think the cast was AMAZING. Lee Min Ho did an amazing job as Choi Young. (And I'm only saying that partially out of the fact that I think he's really attractive. ^_^) I think it's my favorite role that I've seen him do. Kim Hee Sun also did an awesome job as Eun Soo. She was funny and quirky and strong without being annoying. And she and LMH ended up having some AWESOME chemistry. The supporting cast was excellent as well. The king and queen, the Woodalchi boys, the baddies, everyone. I think this is one of the few K-dramas that I've watched where I wasn't annoyed with some bad actor.

The storyline was also really good. Not always executed well, but still really unique and interesting. There was a lot of really good character moments and character development. It was unpredictable, funny, touching, action-packed, political, romantic... not always in a well balanced way, but the moments themselves were good.

The music was really good, just not always used well. The costumes and sets were beautiful. So, basically, there's lots to like as long as you can get over the flaws. Faith is one of my new favorites.

To me, Faith felt like a wonderful combination of a great RPG video game and an old anime called Fushigi Yugi. There were times when the show dragged, as pointed out numerous times in other reviews, but for the most part, this drama was really great to watch.

This was my first "historical", and I use the word loosely because I understand that this is by no means a real historical, in read more that there is time travel and magic. The time travel aspect isn't really unique, especially with the recent crop of dramas this year utilizing it. However, the magic was first for me, though I wish they had handled it better, or maybe utilized an explanation a little bit more. No one in the present seemed to be aware that magic ever existed, even when Eui Seon seemed to know a lot about Choi Young from her history books. You'd think that he could control lightning magic would have been a prominent focus.

The cast in this show was just amazing, seriously. Though, as it is my goal to someday have Lee Min Ho's babies, I may be a little biased. I had never even heard of Kim Hee Sun before this, and her acting in Faith has me interested in looking up her past dramas. I can't believe it's been 6 years since she has acted! The supporting cast was also a delight to watch, especially Dae Man, who I am glad we finally got a bit of his backstory later on in the drama. I kept wishing they'd tell us how he came to find Choi Young! I loved Lee Philip in Secret Garden, and I wish he had a bigger role in this drama, though I understand his eye surgery issues may have had a part in that. My main complaint on the cast probably lies more with the script than the actor himself. The King was just so whiny! I understand the idea that Kings are humans too, and I get how they tried to humanize him, but sometimes I just wanted to hit him over the head and tell him to man up already!

I make myself wait a day after finishing something before writing a review, because sometimes, you're just too close to it to accurately describe how you are feeling. And usually by that time, I have forgotten all about the music. But this show had such great music, it stuck with me. It really fit the tone of each scene remarkably well.

If you want something with lots of action, a sweet romance story (with next to zero PDA), and lots of kidnapping, murder, attempted murder, poisoning, subterfuge and court intrigue, then this is the drama for you! The romance remains the key plot point for the drama, so you have to like love stories or I think you might be rather bored by all of the posturing and pursuit of Eui Seon's heart.

Both historical romance dramas by the same writer. But Faith involves time-travel.

Both are fantasy dramas and faith has Lee Min Ho :) You get to see time travel and it is a good story.

Currently at 9th episode and loving every minute of it~

Although... rubber armour. Rubber armour everywhere :O Hah hah xD
One day, I'd love to see a historical drama like this but with high production budget, so that they can give these wonderful actors some real armour and other high quality period clothes to wear *_*

Is this drama actually good or people just watch it because of Lee Min Ho?

I only watched the first episode and dropped because of LMH's bad acting. He didn't improve at all. I wonder how far his good looks will bring him

almost did too but i kept watchin and it just got better with each episode. he has more bad ass fight scenes than in ep 1 and his chemisty with her is awsome. try it

I don't know. Isn't he supposed to be badass or something? I mean that kind of guy that will scare people with just one look? He could play the tsundere type of guy in BOF. But in the first episode he was just plain.

No bad looks he's known to have not lost a fight, great warrior. by ep 5 it starts getting addicting coz the bad guys get clever and the girl can't pretend anymore. They believe she's seen the future so they want a piece of her. Some characters have powers too including lmh and the bad guy . even the king isn't safe so lmh has to be on his toes to save the two so that's how it gets interesting. Have u seen city Hunter. It's better than that

No I just watched LMH in Boys over flowers and Personal Taste. I know that you have to watch at least five episodes before deciding a korean drama is bad or not. So maybe I might try watching it again in the future. But still, I have doubts about his acting. Thanks for your replies^^

This show was awesome. From lead actors to supporting roles they were all fantastic. Although their wasn't a lot of lip action, they were few very few but it was not only one time. Nevertheless the romance in this drama was a 10 b/c the main lead feelings were very passionate and strong for the audience to feel and see. The main female lead was remarkable. She was strong although not physically, courageous and smart. Lee min ho was perfect for this drama. Great acting skills and fighting skill i fell for him all over again even though i was already in love. Also although 5 minutes before the final ending may be confusing to some b/c the author or director is a dumbass don't mind it b/c the overall ending was perfect. I give it a 8.5:)

Ok after watching City Hunter I went into LMH fever -though not a huge fan- and decided to watch this, and I'm glad I did! I dare to say to me this was better than CH in terms of the settings and the romance. Kim Hee Sun was great in this drama very different from Sad Love Story, I love her character out spoken and strong spirit. The chemistry btw her and LMH was overflowing and the progress of their romance is what me kept hooked. The story is very appealing -if you're into time travel, and historical themes. The different characters were interesting. The lack of a big face off between Choi Young and -let's call him Mr. Freeze since I forgot his name- was disappointing. Overall fighting scenes were good.
I don't know why this drama isn't as popular w people as CH but I think it's great and worth watching. It's a bit of a slow start but it gets good.
    Totally recommended

I agree with your puzzled sentiment re: Why it's not as popular as City Hunter-- I loved Faith and it's what made me a LMH fan, so when I subsequently went back and watched CH (which I remember people going crazy over back when it was airing) I was actually... bored. Yeah, I liked Faith a LOT more than City Hunter. Maybe it's a matter of "whatever you see first is what you like most" but I could watch Faith yet again (it'd be the 4th time) yet I don't see myself ever rewatching CH...
