What awaits Jiro read morethere is his hardheaded father, his nagging sister, the 12 children of the foster home his father runs, a snobbish male nurse, and a stubborn female nurse who likes to daydream about her life.

This drama was all about the kids!! I just love dramas that discusses children and their daily lives. What made this different is these children are all living as foster children. Some have lost their parents and some have parent(s) but are there for different reasons. I liked this drama because we got to see each of the children back story which made the drama that much more interesting to watch.

As read more usual, Kimura Tayuka reins supreme in the human interest type dramas! His portrayal of Jiro was excellent. But I must say, there is nothing like seeing Takuya dress in racing clothing. My, my, my!!

Alas, don't be fooled about the romance label, this drama was NOT about romance. The two leads have nothing romantic between them to speak about. Sure, there are hints that they like each other but that is about it.

If you like dramas that tell a story, especially ones featuring a bunch of cute kids (to include a younger Toda Erika), you will definitely like this!!

Well, the whole idea of helping kids deal with their problems and whatnot is the same. They are also both lighthearted and serious at the same time. If u enjoyed one, you will definitely enjoy the other.

Although Engine's story and character development are not as deep as those in GOLD I thought they had similarities in the plot and the core idea the story is built on gives a familiar feeling. They are both very satisfying and entertaining with strong emotional ties within.

Worth watching; Kimutaku was gorgeous, adorable and funny, ending a little confusing, and the same darn Aerosmith song again and again..... but on the whole a cute one.

Just look at the cast lists XD
Its just too surreal for today; its like an asadora or taiga that can gather all wonderful actors in one project.

I think this dorama worth watching even if you just want to see Kimutaku, Toda Erika, Juri Ueno, Kaho, Koyuki, Nakajima Yuto, and Sakai Masato all in one weekly renzoku drama
    (non asadora/ taiga).

    XD

I loved everything surrounding and involving the kids, all of them, and I would so love to have the relationship of either or both of Jiro's and/or Kanzaki's relationships with each and every one of them kids, just awesome connection and chemistry. Can't say I know what that romance was, can you call it that??? Talk about mismatch and in the worst way, I gave it a 9 because of so many lessons to be learned in this one, especially regarding children, so very well beautifully done... :)))

Torii Motoichiro san needs to shut the frig up, wow, he's so friggin obnoxious!!! Whatever Sakai Masato san plays in, he's always so obnoxious and so looks down on everyone, he so thinks he's God's gift to everyone, he needs to tone the frig down, so friggin annoying...

another great performance by kimura takuya. i gave engine an 8 b/c of kato koyuki. i didn't really like her character, and there was almost no chemistry between her and kimutaku.
