It was a great TV serie, acting was great and lots of big korean actors starred in it. I liked how plot developed through out the show just didn't like the ending. It was stupid and ridiculous and I can see why most liked it, but it would be better if he just returned to his own body. And cmon she fell in love with her student. It was funny, and all.

Pretty decent end for a dull drama.

This final episode was not that bad.Comparatively. It was kind of funny, esp. Da Ran acting 'crazy' was fun because that was what I was feeling like after watching all the 'serious' nonsense so far.
Also, Ma Ri was handled well. The stop sign could have been given much earlier on, and spared us the trouble of suffering her.

Ending was not too bad either. Yeah, it made no sense that KKJ grew into YJ's form in one year- but that's just another on of the ridiculous things we have to assume to get the ending they want. Considering how earlier, Da Ran went into the lake and retrieved the ring without being dripping wet or even late for the meeting- this was nothing more absurd than that surely.

ending explanation

For the people who didn't understood the end, here is the explanation:
In that one year Kang Kyung Joon grew up.
It's a bit confusing here because they keep mixing past with present but you can see the difference because it's raining in the present and the wear different shirts. They never once showed how Kang Kyung Joon looks like in the present just his back (still played by Gong Yoo but they are brothers so they should look alike but I think they used Shin Won Ho's voice for the last scene). They obviously didn't want to find another actor for that part and they didn't want to use Shin Won Ho because he looks too young.
Kang Kyung Joon doesn't remember anything about the body switch.
They accidentally (or not? they went to see the house they both lived in) met again on the bus. She took his umbrella again and their first meeting scene was repeated but this time Gil Da Ran remembered what Kyung Joon told her to do when they meet again. And it seamed like she was going to do what he asked her to do, to hold onto him first and even if he whines and throws fits to endure him and don't let him go.
So it's a happy ending. And Kyung Joon isn't in Yoon Jae's body anymore.

Now if you are wondering about the watch; someone must have gave to Kang Kyung Joon, it has his initials. I don't think Seo Yoon Jae would have worn it.

Just aweful!

I really struggled through this drama, the ending was one of the worst endings i have ever watched, sometimes I think why the writers think there should always be a happy ending no matter what,I really prefer a sad and heart wrenching ending!

A surprising but not totally uncomprehensible ending

I didn't think this last episode was as bad as all the disastrous ratings here below, and this is because I believe that the scriptwriters really gave the spectators (the Gong Yoo fans in particular) what they subconsciously wanted. I mean after having seen so many episodes with love blooming between Kyung Joon in Yeon Jae's body and Da Ran for me it would have been really awkward to see Kyung Joon in his original body at the end of the episode. I agree that it doesn't make sense as it means that the switch only involved the loss of memory but if we think about it the whole plot is unrealistic therefore the ending was only coherent with the love story. Throughout the story infact found it hard to believe that she could love the real Kyung Joon in his original body as a determining factor for her falling in love was definitely also Yeon Yae's aspect.

What were the writers thinking?!

I thought that it would have ended decently, because from the beginning I didn't really like the drama like that and was hesitating when it came to watching the next episode, but wow really?! The ending left so much things unsaid and unexplained. What happen to SYJ? Why didn't he go back to his real body, is it because the children ripped the picture? If so, how did that play out? I was so confused it was ridiculous! What was the point of all that "I'm going to forget everything" and "I am going to leave SYJ" if it was just going to end up like that? I felt it unnecessary. I was hoping to see Gong Yoo in a good drama since it's been 5 years since his last one, so I'm a bit hurt. Hope he finds something better soon

No. Just No!

What a horrible ending! I really hate when things have such terrible endings because the ending is one of the most important parts of the story. Having a horrible ending just ruins EVERYTHING! I cannot believe they ended a drama with such great potential in such a horrible way! It could have been so SOOO much better. Brings me to tears to see a drama ruined by the ending. T^T Dang T^T

Wait a sec : What was that ?!!!

I'm an ending lover so when an ending goes the wrong way, sometimes the whole drama goes the wrong way and Big last episodes didn't encourage me to think about the whole drama in a good way.
Not only that we didn't get to see Kang Kyung Joon in his own body but we had some bad as very bad moments during the ep.
From all the dramas that i've seen so far, this drama's ending must have the worst ever *sigh*

WTF

If the director decided to show KKJ to us in YJ's body then it was a fcuking bad idea. At least some screentime should have been given to Shin Won Ho! I'm totally disappointed and what's with the 1 year gap? Jesus.

Wow.

I was going to give this a 2.5, but Choong-shik is the diamond in the junk pile, and I think he deserves that extra o.5 (added onto his 1.0 contribution to my episode rating) for being the most solid (and adorably hilarious) character, all the way to the end.

I'm all for open ended conclusions where you're left thinking about if something happened or if it didn't. I'm all for confusing ending that make no sense at all but in the end, you realize there was a deeper meaning hidden in there somewhere and it makes the last episode or the end of the film the greatest mind-fudge ever.

This? This was crap.

Granted, I read a recap of the episode, but what the fudge. They tied up a couple of loose ends concerning the minor characters (yay, rabbit! She's rabbit, right? I like her. She's cute.) and completely screwed up the main storylines. The highly anticipated body-swap happens off screen, and when we finally get Da-Ran and KKJ's happy ending, it's not even KKJ in his own body. What about the memories? Was this all a dream in her head?

What about brotherly bonding time? What about Yoon-Jae?

I hate how much I have to assume because every single answer and scene that I wanted just was not there. I could go on and on complaining about this episode, but I won't because the list of complaints is far too long.

I guess it's true what they say. The BIGger they are, the harder they fall.

WTF!

What the hell was that? I was waiting for them to swap back and see the real KKJ in action! That was such a disappointment. They dragged the last 6/8 episodes.. It had so much potential!
If only they swapped back earlier and she stopped crying so much!

awful ending!

I'm so grateful when watching episode 13/14, but how is the final episode is becoming like that. I just dont understand why they not show the switching back? Why they not show when KKJ's wake up after switching and meet his parent and brother for the first time? Why they not show how is the real feeling of SYJ towards GDR. How's GDR solve her problem with SYJ that she actually love KKJ? Why the writer do not pay attention more to the miracle that always be an issue between KKJ and SYJ. Many things absurd for me.
The most disappointing for me is when KKJ meet GDR after switch back to his real body. They even not show his face. I think the most important thing is how GDR still in love with KKJ even after KKJ back to his real body. All parts of this episode just explain how GDR should remembering KKJ. So horrible.

*sigh*

Seriously, I just had the biggest feeling from the start of watching this episode that the ending was gonna suck. How can they not show them switching back?! Everything was just so messed up.

I really loved this drama, and was so ready to rate it a 10, but now I can't do that. Just because of the bad ending...how can the writers ruin such a good drama! I just can't understand...

So dissapointed right now...gonna take me a few days to get over this~

Horrible

Not even a kiss to satisfy the happy couple being together again. Many issues unresolved/ ignored. Started off great with so much potential but ended horribly.

I don't know!!!

What can I say? It was pretty good. actually really good! Until....this episode. It felt too rushed somehow. I had such high hopes. I love every part of this drama..until the last episode. I wanted to see the REAL KANG KYUNG JOON ACT! All he did was appear in Ma Ri's dreams and slept on the hospital bed! In the end...Da Ran met him..but they wouldn't even show us his face! I was hoping for something like they would get married or something. But he swicthed back at last minute! I thought they should make the switch an episode before or extend the drama. They should have left the last episode for how GRD made KKJ re gain his memory or something. But I guess all the other eps were fine.

IT WAS AN OKAY ENDING

If your confused... in the end it was KKJ in his original body. They switched bodies according to Ma Ri. The person in the end was KKJ, but in our view, the director decided to show Yoon Jae's body. But in reality, it was KKJ. We can assume that time passes by and KKJ will realize his feelings for Da Ran. As for Yoon Jae he is probably still in Germany recovering and probably going to come back to Seoul soon to realize that Ma Ri has found another love. He will get over her and get together with that one doctor chick. Ma Ri will still stalk KKJ now that he has returned to his original body. However as time goes by she will take notice of Chong Sik and end up with him. 100 POINTS

I'm probably...

...going to get skinned alive by fangirls for this review. Episode 16 was the biggest letdown of the whole series. Seriously, the Hong Sisters should just take a break and not write a drama for awhile (maybe 10-20 years?).

At the beginning of the episode, I thought we might be headed somewhere, but no...all this build up to the switch, then all we get is Mari's text about it. All this build up to Da Ran meeting Kyung Joon, and all we get is Kyung Joon in Yeon Jae's shell. So...what the heck happened to Yeon Jae? Is he now inhabiting Kyung Joon's body? Or am I just confused about what happened?

Poor Choong-shik! Still having cute parts within all the trash. Now if somebody could write a show about him and the dumpling shop, I'm in. Also, poor Shin Won Ho, who never really got the chance to shine at all, even in the end.
