Ma Ru Takes the Blame for Jae Hee
Kang Ma Ru is a promising third year med student. With his ailing sister needing urgent medical attention, he chooses to go to Han Jae Hee who calls him in a panic, a woman he's loved since childhood. In distress after having killed a man in self defense, he chooses to take the blame for her. After spending five years in prison, their lives have completely changed and they meet once again in a life or death situation.

Already liking the drama. However, I didn't like he left his sister half dead for some chick and then left her for several yrs due to his dumb irrational decision of taking the blame for a crime he didn't commit. It's like he completely forgot about his sick sister. But other than that, I'm liking it so far.

This drama has great potential however, there is happening way too many things in the first episode for it to be completely understandable. I get that the drama has to have some kind of thrill that makes you want to go to the next episode, but don't go over the top... I'm not saying it's a bad first episode, it certainly is great but I hope that everything will become clear in the following episodes. I'm looking forward to them.
The actors are actually pretty good. I honestly didn't expect much from the female leads, but the pleasantly surprised me. Thinking away the annoying ex that murdered that man in the beginning I think this drama is going to be very good and will have some unexpecting turns.
Hopefully everyone will enjoy this drama as much as I will! :)

Okay... I was shaking only 20 minutes into this! So heart wrenching and I didn't even know what to think! Seriously! So intense!!! Like I still don't know what to think! This whole episode I was just flailing my arms in the air yelling WHAT THE HECK?!?!?!?! Just wow! Main female lead is awesome! Main male lead is.... Hot, but what the heck? STOP KISSING SO MUCH!!!!! And what the heck is Han Jae Hee's problem?? I already hate her!

I've read a lot of good reviews about this drama, hopefully it lives up to its reputation.
So far it's pretty confusing, but still good. It seems quite unrealistic so far.. but its a Korean drama, what was I expecting? It's a good start. I hope it progresses well.

One good thing - all introductions and first flashbacks to past are quick and short, so all gets done with first episode and no dragging it to 2-3 episodes how it is usually happens.
We get to know all three main female charaters: great love, sister and step daughter. All three have many issues and are selfish and annoing like hell.
So build up setup is: one man versus three woman.
Acting...male lead is doing good job, very detailed and sharp. Female actors are normal, no shiny moments, average going for safe outcome, still professionally done.
Lets see what next episode brings.

Wow!!!!This episode is daebak. Didn't even figure out how 1 house passed. It felt like I just started it and how the hell did it end 0_0. I was so mad at maru for leaving his sister like that, I literally screamed at my computer. It was that good. I loved the way they created that kind of intense situation. Anyway great job song joong ki :)

Wow, how could he just leave his little sister alone like that? I hope she was alright. Well, at least she seems to be still alive..
And taking the blame for his girlfriend was a pretty harsh move. I hope he'll be able to become a doctor after all. He seemed like a perfect person for the job. Well, and still does.

I haven't even finished the 1st epi yet & I am going crazy. Why in the name of all that is holy did he leave his little sister by herself? Then take the blame for Jae Hee? I am totally geeking out right now b/c I can't believe he left his sister like that. ARGGGGGGGG!

Joon Ki in a main role that's all i've been thinking about when i started watching this drama but after seing the 1st ep i know that the story have good potential and i feel it's different from other kdramas, let's see what will happen next.

Lol their horrible japanese accents were really tearing my ears apart.
Other than that.. I really like the plot and story so far!! Joongki is such a good actor and is totally different from his role in Sungkyunkwan Scandal. I'm really interested in how this is going to progress. I really like the OST too!

So this is kinda my first heavy melodrama. I focused mainly on rom-coms and meloish kinda movies. HOLY SHIZZZZ I sure do know how to pick them. This was intense!! Right from the start, even though I hate melos and extreme drama, I couldn't stop myself from watching. I know I'm def going to need a box of tissues for this one. But I love Eun Gi's character! She's such a badass. I honestly want Eun Gi and Ma Roo rather than Jae Hee and Ma Roo. But I though Ma Roo was quite silly for leaving his sister. Dude haven't you heard the saying nothing runs deeper than blood. She's your freaking sister, who cares about the dumb girl who you've loved your entire life. Your sister depends on you. But then we wouldn't have had a story if he had stayed with Choco... so I guess I'll have to accept it. But this was a great introduction to melodramas for me.

woah so much has happened to be honest I thought Joong ki was stupid at first i mean leaving his sister...anyways after that passed it's so intense how he meets her on a plane again and I love Eun Gi/ Moon Chae WOn's character so so much! she's so strong and such a badass...but she has a dark past becuase of her dad...It's gonna be a good intense yet sad drama I bet. Love it so far!

He already kissed few girls and already cried right at first episode!
The plot is interesting though my first impression was that it could be too heavy for me. But after a while I saw that the plot is changing and getting more interesting and the end was tense as well!!
I NEED TO SEE ALL 16EPISODES AT ONCE NOW!!!
How will I wait for another 14 ;-;

idk...to sacrifice yourself for a woman when you are about to become a doctor...I dont think i could never be in that much love to give up my my life for somebody else... This drama holds a lot of potential,i cant wait for more!!

whoah 1st episode superB!..the 3 leads actors are perfect..mcw and sjk ilove u more now,and u give me a very good start,i'm satisfied and asking for more!!this kind of drama i've been waiting for that u would wish everyday is wed and thurs..amm sooo happy thanks guys!

I hope this drama won't disappoint me later on since the first episode was so good. I love the main actor and the actress especially the one that is sick I love her acting it's so real and good and her character isn't usual stupid and innocent heroin :) I can't wait for next episode

I think this drama has the best start among all Korean drama showing this year. The story progress is faster and very interesting.

I really like the mood this show created. Of course it's Melodrama, but I find it rather stylish and kind of ironic - not screaming "Drama!" in your face every second like Five Fingers. It's even quite funny from time to time.
Also, Moon Chae Won's character is awesome. Gotta love some capable kickass heroine, especially in this kind of drama.
Song Joong Ki is doing a great job. Amazing eye acting! Spent a lot of time drooling xD
Can't wait to see more!! Really hope this show won't disappoint me later on!

I loved the 1st episode, we are instantly drawn into the story.
No awaiting, no sweetheart and stupidly innocent leads!
I hope the drama will continue on this way!
