I didn't know this manga was made into a movie. I jus recently started reading the manga also so I decided to watch this.

It's cute. It's your typical popular boy, unpopular student romance. But I still liked it. I think this would've been better as a drama since everything seemed extremely fast. The whole teasing phase then relationship phase all seemed rushed which is uncommon for movies.

I think if you read more haven't read the manga you would probably like it more.

I loved the cast. Matsuzaka is some serious eye candy ~ all the characters were really likable but I feel like some of the supporting cast should've had a bigger role like in the manga. It's kind of like they were just there to be there. I liked the two main leads but I feel like their chemistry didn't develop well enough. They were cute together but I just didn't seem like they really liked each other, it was rather lacking.

The music was pretty good. The audio for the whole movie was a little weird so it was hard to hear the music clearly but they were enjoyable tunes.

First of all I need to point out that I have read the manga and know the details inside out as a fan.

Well, considering I approached this movie very accidentaly and since I really like the manga, I decided to give this a go.

Some parts very unexpected - in a bad and good ways. The story was slightly shifted from the original, but still kept the warmth of their meeting. read more But probably that shift is what made some gaping holes in the storyline, as it felt unfinished, missing something.

The acting was good, there was nothing to complain about just the script that didn't allow to go very deep into the characters to understand their actions (most of it was shuffled, muffled and skiped through very fast).

Overall, it is a good watch, yet I wouldn't rewatch it again as a manga fan.

The lead actress is the same in both movies. Both characters she plays are very cute, nice natured girls.
Both are sweet romance movies. Both female leads discover themselves along the way.
Plot lines are different, but I think many may like both films.

Both plot lines are practically identical. I think of you liked
"Kyou, Koi Wo Hajimemasu" (Love For Beginners) you will like this one.
Both feature teenage girls who have low self esteem, are bullied for one reason or another and end up falling in love with the popular guy (in turn he likes her back in both stories which shocks others)
Both are incredibly sweet stories, and no doubt most people will like both if they liked one of the others previously.

It's a sweet story. But what I like most about it, it was relatable and realistic. And I didnt find the story too rushed. The pace was perfect! :)

very stereotypical love story so i really should have hated it but i enjoyed it so much... it could be bc of takei emi and matsuzaka tori though lol they're such attractive people

also it's really fast-paced... esp the first hour.. then they kind of slowed down in the second hour. that's prob another reason why i really liked it bc i really hate the slow pace most movies/dramas take

I think it was okay to do some changes in the movie (some thing were differents in the manga), because if they wouldn't do it, they couldn't finish the movie satisfactorily. Otherwise they had to make a drama series. So it was fine.

I think I had and overdose of shoujo manga maybe that's why I couldn't enjoy this movie. There's nothing really annoying about it but at the same time I found it irritating, like when you're annoyed by bore and predictable plot.....but some years ago I really did enjoy Kimi ni Todoke which is a bit similar...*scratches head...maybe some things are to be enjoyed just for some time....

.. I didn't like it. Just a banal love story. Dropped it at the end ^^"

I might be crazy, but I think Matsuzaka Tori looks like he could be the spawn of Sato Takeru and Daito Shunsuke. Lol.

Anywaaay... I thought this film was okay. The development of the protagonists and their relationship felt a bit rushed for me, especially in the first half of the film, and their connection felt forced as well (ugh, please stop doing that shoujo writers). The second half was kind of lackluster - I started zoning out a couple of times lol. But, as I said, it was okay. It had its cute moments but this film doesn't really stand out from other films in its genre... still pretty cookie cutter as far as shoujo romance.

What an awful adaption. The beginning is the most important part of the manga and they completely mucked it up. What a waste of time.

I used to read the manga, but at one point i think he like pushed her or was being really mean to her so I dropped it and never read it again lol. Maybe i'll try the adaption out
