A heartwarming home drama told from the perspective of 11-year-old Kaoru (Nagashima), who says his family is often called weird/unusual. It revolves around the lives of stay-at-home dad (Tamura), lawyer and breadwinner mother (Ito), tomboyish oldest daughter (Uchida) and SNAG oldest son (Tamayama). A mysterious neighbor (Kobayashi) also gets involved.

If you lived in the U.S and are old enough like me, then you probably remember the Brady Bunch. This drama reminds me of that though it's not a sitcom. Anyhow the story is pretty good. The Cast is superb. The Music is alright. It's rewatch value in my opinion, is a 7. Overall, it's definitely a good drama to watch. So watch it *_*

Both dramas follow the exploits of stay at home dads in communities that don't appreciate their non-traditional roles. While the issues of gender roles and inequality are heavy, both of these comedies lighten it up :) Dare Yori has more colorful characters than At Home Dad, but both are good.

Both of these dramas deal with non-traditional family structures and standing out in Japanese society. They're also have a similar mix of funny and sad moments.

Wow one of my first reviews, and it's pretty damn crappy lol. I should fix that one of these days. Sorry about that.
