I wanted to write a review for this since it's one of my all time favorite dramas. I think it kinda divides opinions and it really depends on the watcher if you like it or not.

The plot... I too, as many others, love the first half of the story more up to like episode 11? but the later half isn't bad either. It just has less happening. Some people say it dragged on and maybe it did, but i didn't really pay attention since i was so in love with everything else in it.

The plot had wonderful details that really showed different sides of the characters. Like Eun Jo; She is basically the evil stepsister and if this story was from another point of view, she would be seen as a complete bitch but cause the plot allows you to understand Eun Jo and all the other characters, and it seems much more realistic. No human is perfect and everyone has a bad side and it depends on how you see it who is the villain and who is the hero/in. And i feel like this drama portrayed that pretty perfectly.

I LOVED the acting. After watching this Moon Geun Yong became one of my favorite actresses of all time. The other actors were all great too, there's really nothing i complain about. And the acting really completed the plot and I got into the story with it. Every time Moon Geun Yong cried I cried with her. If im ever feeling sad and just wanna cry, I rewatch the sad scenes of CS and cry my heart out.

I really liked the music too, i love listening to the ost and remembering this drama. I felt that the music fit the scenes really well

The rewatch value.. hmmm... I feel like there are parts that are really worth rewatching, and then some parts are parts that were necessary the first time but now that you know the plot you don't really need them anymore, but since i dont usually rewatch dramas anyways i think me watching even some parts of this means its really good :) I've already rewatched some episodes like 5 times when i usually only watch them once or twice...

Oveall I gave it a 9 but i wanted to give a 10. It's really a favorite of mine and the first serious (and second ever) k-drama i watched. I think it's best suited for people who can focus on dramas well xD and for people who like sad dramas (you might need tissues!)
And also for people who can see the bigger picture and understand the characters... It made me kinda sad when i read comments that said "How can Eun Jo be so cold?" when all the time i had been thinking "Poor Eun Jo, no one understands you but Ki Hoon".

But still I recommend this drama for everyone to watch :) If it ever seems confusing i'm happy to help ;)

I have mixed feelings about Cinderella’s Sister . Everything was super good until they decided to go 7 years further. I learned later that, at that times, they changed the screenwriter. Good damn it.

The reason why I started this drama was because I was curious about Moon Geun Young being casted as a “vilain”. Her face is way too sweet to be mean. I have to say: she rocked it ! Why ? Because, Ok she’s a bitch, but a bitch with a reason for being so bitchy. You feel empathy for her and her crying scene was really touching. I even cried once. And that’s pretty rare. That’s how good Moon Geun Young acting skills are. You go girl !

I also like the intensity between the character. There was fire, screams, tears, first… Too much maybe. At the end it was a bit tiring. And sometimes a bit ridiculous.

The biggest turn off was Seo Woo’s plastic face. Everytime she appeared on screen, I couldn’t concentrate on her acting and kept wondering about what was her original body and what was fake. Plus her character was annoying like hell. The all “lolita-please-protect-me” act pissed me off like crazy. And to be honest, I found the all rice wine crisis a bit ridiculous. And Taecyeon’s character was pretty useless, just watching from a far distant what was going on…

As I’m writing down those words, I still don’t know how to feel about that drama. Sure it gave some intense moments but also made me roll my eyes several times. But I would put it in my “Love” list because Moon Geun Young

Damn, this was good. Was probably the first Kdrama I've watched.

Story::
The whole relationship and story was complex. I loved it. Very well done. I'm probably going to come back to watch this again. Development was fantastic.

Acting/Characters::
Very well done. The characters were full of emotion, so it was probably difficult to do, but they did it, and they portrayed it really well.

Music::
Will stick with me for a loooongg time.

I'm not sure why this doesn't have higher ratings...its really good.

What made watch this in the first place was Moon Geun Young. I am biased like that when it comes to actresses I like.

Aside from her, I was very much interested in the story line. As you have noticed the title says “Cinderella” because it was depicted in the fairy tale but is very much different in every aspect. I wouldn’t elaborate too much. What made it similar to the fairy tale? We have the evil step sister who acted as Moon Geun and Cinderella herself as Seo Woo. But what I like in this story was how they made Moon’s character, it was far fetched from the original concept, but it justified her bitchiness.

This way, the story really amazed me and how the main character’s inner conflict was resolved. I love the tough exterior the main character had but in the inside she’s all marshmallows. Oh, and I’m not forgetting Chung Jung Myung, the man who moved the evil step sister’s heart. The music was also lovely especially in those very melodramatic moments in which you couldn’t help crying out loud and say “Please please please stop hurting so badly so I could stop crying for you” this dialogue always ran through my mind all through out every episode.

By far, this is one of the best melodramatic Korean series I have ever seen. So if you’re much into another cry-fest drama, this one is for you. Prepare your bucket for those incoming tears.

I am not sure whether I like this drama or not.
I like the story plot. Heart-breaking, aching, yet remarkable.
Well, the casts did good job while starring in this drama. They succeed to make me (as the watcher) felt all of their random emotions. The scene and music are great too.

However, as it goes on, I kinda feel that the story line has been slowed down. Boring and tiring. I can only enjoy the half of the shows and finally found out that I have been skipping some of the episodes.

To sum up, this is not a very enjoyable drama as all of the actors here did cry. So if you are not into something slow and sour, skip it. But if you like heart-aching and slow melodrama, give it a try.

This is the first drama that I watched. I fell in love w/ kdrama b/c of this story. I work w/ kids that have the same background or worse than the main character and I have to say she displayed a range of emotion that was believable. I will watch this drama over and over b/c it was amazing. She showed how hard it is for someone to express their emotions when they don't know how to.

I watched a lot of Korean and Taiwanese dramas but there’s never a series that made me cry from start to finish–not until Cinderella’s Sister. I literally cried a river while watching it. The first four chapters were intense but then when I get to Chapter 10 onwards–the scenes were unbearable. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not in a negative way. It’s unbearable because it would turn your emotions upside down and you really can’t help the tears from falling.

I didn’t give it a full ten since there were instances that I want to drop the series due to the fact that its agonizing to watch and their problems are just running in circles, which could have been easily resolved if they’ve been honest with each other. I remember this was a melodrama so some twist and turns are expected.

If you ever plan to watch this, better prepare a box of tissue with you since by all odds you’d need that.

Honestly, one of the WORST dramas I have ever seen. The first few episodes were very different from other dramas I have seen and I really wanted to watch more! The rebellious daughter and the "perfect" daughter characters seemed unique and I thought they would be interesting. But when they got older, the main character kept on pushing and pushing the male lead away I thought it would never end. The same scenarios seemed to always repeat itself with them, fighting and making up. I got fed up with it and just skimmed my way from about episode 10-16, I couldn't handle it anymore! I don't recommend for people to watch it, unless you like to watch the same thing happen over and over again.

At first, I only wanted to watch this because it was showing on TV and my best friend said it's a good drama. So, I tried it. It wasn't very eye-catching in the first three episodes, it was boring but then I started to like it as they grow older. I dont know why I didn't like it at first, I might have been 'not paying attention' so I rewatched it from 2nd episode and so on, I love it. If you're serious enough, you'll love it. Especially when MGY and SW grew up into adults. I think the best acting here was of SW, I love her acting, she has her cute side and the evil side. MGY here is rather half evil but inside she cares. I understand her character, the feelings and emotions were expressed well by the cast so I love it. The chemistry between MGY and the first guy is like, meh. I don't want them together, sorry BUT that was only at first. They have like 80% chemistry so it was okay. The songs are daebak! Sung by awesome singers! But I wouldn't watch it again. When it's a bit of a sad drama, I don't think I'd want to watch it again. But overall I give this a 9/10! Great plot, great cast, great music.

FIrst of all, I don't get the "cinderella", okay, there was a stepmother, an "evil" sister and that's it. If it had anther title it wouldn't make a difference. I don't know why I watched it, the summary was interesting.The first half of the show was pretty good, I even -almost- liked Moon Geun Young.

The casting was ok... I mean, Seo Woo's acting was a bit weird and something about that was really annoying for me. Why they put Taec in this role? He was "just watching from a far distant what was going on…" like someone said in another review. There were lots of screams and crying like a melodrama has to be. Now, Moon Geun Young, I'm not her fan but in this show she was fine, I don't think her character was evil, just misunderstood, she had a reason for everything.

Music: I don't know the name but it played over and over again, it was lovely and it was played in the right moments.

Rewatch Value: It's not my kind of drama, too much crying, MGY and a boring ending. Just to say I hated it, I could rewatch just the first half of the show.

Sorry if it's a bit confusing, I'm not used to write reviews for shows.

Okay if you look at my rating it might confuse you on my opinion of this drama. Like other reviews have noted this drama started strong (hooks you good in the first few episodes) but then crashes and burns into a pile of smoldering s*#@. I was not happy with this drama, it was actually a real let down. The characters were so interesting at first but then they just keep making the same choices, the same moves and the same stupid mistakes with no real redemption of their character flaws. It is infuriating to watch as the show just seems to drag on.

As mentioned in some of my other reviews, I DO NOT EVER DROP A DRAMA- but this one came real close.

Redeeming qualities- the acting is good, I liked the father character, the male lead and even the second male lead. The girls were all strong and but they were each pathetic in their own way, it gave an interesting twist on the story.

BEST THING ABOUT THIS DRAMA IS ITS OST- "It has to be you" by YESUNG which is why I watched the drama in the first place.

I would not recommend this drama to anyone UNLESS you want to watch a few episodes drop it and imagine your own ending :)

Story- Suspenseful. Somehow even though the plot is simple, you still want to watch to see what happens in the next episode. The ending was nice. The episode count needed to be shortened to 16.

Acting/Cast- Moon Goon Young was chilling as the evil cinderella. The second female lead is annoying but still likeable. I really felt sorry for her. The male lead is amazing. The supprting cast are all great actors.

Music- Very good songs that make he drama flow.

Rewatch- Id watch this two years from now.

Overall- The phenomenal acting will keep you watching till the end.
