This dramas message really is PRICELESS. I enjoyed every hour of it. Though the story isn't that original - underdog story of a man who finds joy in the priceless items of this world, like friendship, loyalty or a rent for 500 yen - it's perfect in it's execution and pace. It give's you a warm and cuddly feeling every episode because it's strongest point is the light hearted relationship between the read more characters. And there is one theme I really love - different people that form a family by going through hardship and adventures. I remembered how awesome japanese are at forming friendship bonds and this drama does it in a really cute way. A MUST for every Kimura Takuya fan who loves chemistry (I do).

Story 9/10 - Because I think it's not a new story and I still did not see the ending I give it a 9. But certainly it is easy to watch for a full hour, well paced and with an awesome message behind it. The japanese like their stable jobs and a little while back it was normal that a company would employ people for their lifetime. But since recessions struck this country hard "restructuring" became a synonym for angst. Kimura playing a homeless guy with a bright personality might give people hope to not give up completely after falling into poverty (people over there tend to do stuff like suicide). It's a story that gives hope through trust and friendship - still an all-time favorite. Throughout the series there is always the same question coming up - do we value what we have? Didn't money, greed and comfort zones destroy our joy in the simple and priceless things of life? You can checkout yourself - how much are you able to handle? When do you surrender to selfishness?

Acting 10/10 - well what should I say? It's Kimutaku. That guy is a natural at comedy. The rest of the cast is just as awesome with Karina (Nikaido) and Nikai Kiichi (Moai) or Fujiki Naohito (president of miracle electronics). Can't find any miscast - all are really great at what they are doing.

Music 9/10 - Who doesn't like the rolling stones? Come on^^ I jumped through my room when that came in the ending. again. and again. Well the rest is not that special (sounds like a pirate movie) but totally solid stuff.

I would watch it again. Really. And Overall - 9/10 - really a great drama.

What made me decide to watch this is its title itself and when I saw that it's a light drama then I decided to watch it. I can't stand too serious heavy dramas especially long ones since it will make me feel bored. After watching this drama, I can really say that it's totally worth it! It's an entertaining drama with a lesson. It teaches you about the 'priceless' things in life read more but at the same time it's not too preachy to the point that it's irritating and that's what I love about this drama. It touches hearts but at the same time entertaining enough for you to stay and finish it.Of course, Kimura Takuya's acting here is superb and I do love Karina here as well. The rest of the actors did great even the villains. The story and character development is just fine for me and I will definitely watch this drama again whether alone or with groups of people. A realistic drama that's worth your time!:)

Whatching this drama I kept being reminded of Priceless all the time. Rich man is a lot more romance-y, but both these titles are about passionate and talented bussinessmen who end up having to rebuild their companies. Priceless is also very interesting, well written and extremely funny and enjoyable. A definitive must watch for all Jdrama lovers out there!

Looks like I'm in the minority, but I disliked the end the most. However, it's still a good drama and worth your time :)

I just finished watching this drama and on the whole I enjoyed it. It is a very heartwarming and positive story very typically in the Japanese style. What is emphasized mostly is the concept of friendship and optimism and the last episode is also about forgiveness and brotherhood. It left me with a smile on my face and an nice overall feeling. I appreciated the originality of the story very much in tune with the present world economic crysis.
