The One Missed Call final is the third and last movie in the One Missed Call trilogy. In the main role as Asuka, starring Horikita Maki. A young girl who looses the grip on herself aswell as her own life and soul after remaining the victim of Bullying for a long time. The One Missed Call final takes place in a different way than it did in the two previous movies, And this time Mimiko chooses her victims through Asuka's computer. I'll be writing a spoilerless review.

Asuka is used to a life with nothing but bullying, Her only friend Emily as far as she knows just overlooks the fact that she is being seriously bullied. One day she has had it, After school is over she decides to end it all, She is no longer going to be the victim of people's bullying and harrasment. Slowly hanging a rope around her head and trying to commit suicide, Only to be found by the janitor and saved being partially kept alive in a coma. Little did she know, that this very event would be what triggered the awakening of a dark and somewhat possesed self she has. With the help of a ghost, She is looking for revenge and tried to kill the classmates one by one. Confronted with what she is doing, She decides to try to fight the evil powers influencing her with the help of her old friend Emily and Emily's korean boyfriend An Jinu. What started like a game filled with only revenge and fun on her behalf, Will conclude with what will be a nightmare for her aswell as for the remaining students.
True Love isn't shallow, You'll be loved despite of any disability or problems you might have. The Death Call who will lead to deeper feelings in love, tears and horror... Who will be the next victim?

This was in overall a really great movie.. I couldn't have been anymore happily surprised as to how it ended. The Only reason as to why I really checked out this movie, Was Because of Jang Keun Suk acting in it, And I am glad I did.. It made me cry my eyes out. The movie had a great soundtrack. The Themesongs really fit with the movie.. I would really recommend this movie at the highest..
Unlike the other two movies, This movie doesn't have much of the other movies in it. It feels like a alternate version.. Watching the other two first is recommended, However, It is not needed in a high degree.

One Missed Call Final started off really strong and then three hours passed and I was thinking "damn they dragged this out" - only to look down and see that only fifteen minutes had passed and then, for some reason, it turned into The Grudge. Then the ending, one of the better parts, just sped by. I don't know what it is about this film that has the middle hour just drag out, but it's a damn shame, it really could have closed the series up better; this series probably should have been left as a duo.

A meh concusion to a uneeded trilogy

“It’s as if you never existed”

So after Tubi finally gave their copy subtitles, I was finally able to complete the One Missed Call trilogy. As a fan of the first, I must say that these sequels sure are a mess. Granted this one is better than the second , but that isn't saying much.

Like this is almost a good movie. The stuff with Asuka and Emiri is very well handled and Ahn Jin-woo is a lovable character. I also love how creative and cool the kills were here and the effects for them are awesome.

Sadly, a majority of the time is spent with a bunch of completely unlikable characters that only exist to die. Not helping is the deeply convoluted explanations for things that only raise more questions than answers. It all culminates in a finale that feels straight of the Care Bears or My Little Pony, and not a horror movie meant to be taken seriously.

Overall, this third entry was a mixed bag and I doubt I will be revisiting this trilogy ever again. Definitely will rewatch the first movie, but I will gladly avoid rewatching both sequels. Like both sequels aren't terrible, but neither are good or worthy of a rewatch either.

This is the third installment of the One Missed Call franchise, a series that is fairly popular for horror fans. In my opinion, this was the best of the series.

Story: On the surface this is basically the same plot as the first two movies, a mysterious phone call predicts a person's death. However, this film utilized a few more things to create a new sense of tension and thrill while expanding on human nature. A new mind set was presented with this movie that made the scares more intense due to never knowing who or what to fear until it's almost too late. There is also more background and foundation given to the curse that fit the tone and added to the atmosphere and demonstrated how all three films are not only connected but come full circle, making the movie a very good finale for the series. As far as production goes, you can tell the film is somewhat old but that makes it no less scary. I was actually surprised how well jump scares and overall atmosphere were blended to create something new while still using what worked for all the previous movies.

Cast: The cast had pros and cons, I will not lie. There tended to be times where everyone overacted; as the movie progressed it fit the script more and more, adding not only to the idea of hysteria but reminding the viewer of the youth, naivety, and ignorant disbelief that teens have.  Although there were no real stand outs as far as I'm concerned. One must admit, though, it was nice to see Jang Geun Suk in a role other than the aloof pretty boy. His character had more substance than I was expecting - but you can also tell he was young and not always aware of his facial expressions on camera when not the focus of a scene.  Overall, not bad.

Music: Music and sound effects helped set atmosphere and tone for the movie, but there was nothing that really stood out other than a few scenes with what are now Japanese horror standards such as groaning and such. The use of these things did not make the movie cliche, but could be slightly tiring at times when it was louder than dialogue (disclaimer! that may just be the quality of the version that I was able to locate and watch and could be different with other copies).

Rewatch: Out of all three this is the part of the series I would readily rewatch. The pace steadily built up, rather than being fast the whole time and a mess or boring and too dull to pay attention to. The script was okay and the cast fit their roles pretty well; most of all, the film was creepy and had plenty of elements to keep you engaged.

Overall: I really enjoyed this movie and if you love horror, especially Japanese horror, this is a must watch. It isn't the best, but it's pretty good. Happy watching! :D
