Seo Hwa refuses to become a ginseng and is tied to a tree half dressed to be humiliated in front of everyone. At the same time, the gumiho protector of the woods seems to fall for her, and wants to help her. But Jo Kwan Woong (the villain, who killed her father) wants to bed Seo Hwa...what will happen to her ?
loving the beginning,i have watched several kdrama around the joseon, this one hit me hard. i felt so bad for Dam.. T_T
and ooooh the voice of the gumiho................................................ *-*
just hoping that it will get better.
will at start what catch me the story of the girl and when she need it help will here you go a gumiho man on the tree thinking if he should help her or not ,then in the middle of the forest first contact .with a show off of the gumiho man powers ..loving it
Since it's very hard to find a male gumiho story, I think the idea of this drama is creative somehow.
I liked the first episode, it seemed quite decent, the tragedy of Seo Hwa's family was well-brought-up even though it's like any historical K-Drama where the story has to begin with death, tragedy and sadness but I am not hating it.
This first episode was really shocking. The cute "fantasy" moments were hard to swallow, when it was sandwiched between the hanging of Seo Hwa's brother and then Dam commiting suicide by hanging. These aren't light topics! But I was highly engrossed in the story, and totally forgot Lee Seung Gi is meant to be in this! I'm almost glad. Though I would prefer to follow the parent's story, their story is extremely read moredark and sorrowful. Any sweet moments will be overshadowed. At least with Lee Seung Gi, it will be a blank slate. I'm just sad, this drama isn't about the parents in happier circumstances! They were both amazing xxx (And hot!)
I'll be happy when we get through with the backstory - predictable, with stereotypical characters, excessive flashbacks, and overly breathy dramatics from the actress. I get that we need to set up the tragic prologue part, but so much tears and screaming and angst!
Having said that - Oooh, those mountains were gorgeous! Can I go and live there?
This drama is amazing!! Though it's so sad, and it brought tears to my eyes :"( ! But i'm in love with it from the 1st episode T_T! i loved the two main cast in this episode. They look so cute together. i can't wait for more of this drama. i'm hooked up already *-*
i really regret starting the drama.............
cuz now i have to wait argh
firstly wow i loved choi jinhyuk in the episode
it had a great start i was just........ wow.
i cant wait for next week i have a feeling this is gonna get good realllll good
i like that they started out with a love story, that rearly happens its was a pleasant change lol 10/10
I loved the tambour dance by the head gisaeng. I really hate Seo Hwa's nobel pride and simple-minded caracter Seems like a beautiful story to be ended really quickly. Beautiful stills, sceneries and production. Waitting for more !
Wow first episode and it has pulled me right in!
I wasn't expecting things like rape and all which happened, I don't know what I was expecting but nothing like that had crossed my mind.
Even though it started off with the background story it was a very great and beautiful one!
I'm a bit sad that this background story will come to an end because I really like it and dislike read moretragic things which I think is going to happen.. but there will be Choi Kang Chi and Dam Yeo Ul to look forward to in the next episode.
Does everyone else agree with me that Choi Jin Hyuk has gotten more handsome since Panda and Hedgehog?!
I didn't mind one bit that Lee Seung Ki was not in this episode, even though he is the main reason I got interested and began this drama.
I hope this drama keeps going strong and becomes the first saeguk I complete! xD I can't wait to watch more! :D It's really off to a fantastic start.
The first episode reveals a bit of the mother's history, the meeting of the parents and the main villain. Although I liked this episode it was a bit sad. I'm assuming the latter episodes will be lighter and more comedic.
This has got to be one of the greatest first episodes I have watched in a long time. If this keeps going is going to be on my top five list this year. Plus the eye candy, you got beautiful cinematography and effects. If you are into fantasy saeguk drama, you'll be happy.
This drama seems very interesting. I actually love when dramas start off with a background story, that we can see what kind of environment they came from before the drama's initial start. I'm excited to see how Seo Hwa and Wol Ryung's fate plays out. This may sound fangirl-ish of me, but I really want Wol Ryung to stay alive.. Just because of that deep, sexy voice. I mean, wow. So far, read morethe 2 leads have yet to arrive.. But I have high hopes for Lee Seung Gi. Not so much Suzy, because I've only seen her in Big and she never really impressed me with her acting skills, but I'm looking forward to her playing a completely different character than what it was in Big. I have a feeling these couple episodes will give off a melodrama feel, but I'm looking forward to episode 2 tomorrow!
