This is the similarities between both series:

1. Both have the same duration of 12 episodes and have sequel movies.
2. Have fights between gang-members and always strives to be NUMBER 1 of all the gangs.
3. Friendship, loyalty and honor has strong presence in both series.
4. The male-lead is the strongest!

They both center around Johnny's (Juniors). But this time, AKB48's main rival group, Nogizaka46, take the heroines' role. Also, both are about delinquents who have "pride" and will do everything it takes to protect their comrades/group. Plus, both involve romance and show the faith the other members have in their leader/banchou.

it has a similar story line! There are the really awesome leads and then the gang members as well as being #1! Not to mention the romance!^^
There is also a movie but make sure to watch the drama first...that was my first mistake.

Both are about a teenage boy getting involved with gangs through fighting. Both series have "gang wars" and concentrate mostly on fighting.

Both are drama's about school boys fighting each other, finding friends and love. Bad boys J is less serious than Crows Zero

Although in no way does the brilliant cinematography of High&Low match the subtle ambiance here in Bad Boys J (and by that I mean, it feels more low-key than H&L. Yet, I do prefer H&L for its production value and music), these shows give off similar vibes. Kiriki reminds me a bit of a mash between Cobra and Yamato (some of the characters remind you of certain people in either show, I'm sure you'd see the connections!). Here's the reason why you'd like both of these series, or one/the other if you've seen them:

*tons of awesome bromance
*great fighting scenes
*great #friendshipgoals (seriously)
*power struggles, and rising to the 'top,' mentalities among rival gangs and people with 'power trips'
*some great life lessons/deeper meanings behind their fighting in certain contexts

Unrelated: BUT they're both about 22 minutes per episode, and it keeps you engaged.

Lovable delinquents! Although the fighting and music in Sugarless is more epic :) but both worth a watch.
