Qi Yi is a boss from hell. He is worst than a control freaking dictator. He is the saboteur of office romances. Cheng Liang Liang was tasked by her coworkers to break down the boss' defense and have him lift the anti-office-romance rule.
So I just finished rewatching this last night... Yep, rewatching it. I didn't think I'd ever rewatch it, but I somehow started to miss Aaron Yan and Puff's cuteness. They have hella good chemistry, let me just tell you, and ooooo the skinship.
Not going to lie, I skipped around a lot the second time though, I just wanted to see them and their relationship grow. Hehe cuteness factor at a 10! read moreI gave the story a 7 because it's sort of cliche and unoriginal, but they changed it up enough for me not to hate it. Plus I kind of started to really like it, so that's a plus. Some of the stuff that happened was unbelievable, and yet I actually believed it. One of those things where it seems unbelievable but it fits. Even if I skipped through the other stuff, I specifically remember when I watched it the first time, I was really into the other people's stories. Like Kate and Alex, and that narcissistic guy and the cute secretary type girl, and Brother Bo and the really 'sexy' girl. I was interested in it all, and it kept me engaged in the story. I liked that.
I gave the acting a 9, but there was one person who was more like a 2. You'll know who I'm talking about when you watch it, but the rest of them were really good. Aaron Yan is super good, idc what anyone says, I think that he did a really nice job. Puff was pretty good, her character could get annoying sometimes, but I think that it had more to do with the script than her acting, for her character, I think she did a stellar job. Plus, let me just say that Aaron Yan and Puff... oo they should just date, their chemistry his out of this freakin' world. Everytime they looked at each other I thought they were gonna jump on each other, hahaha. Which I'm okay with. x)
I thought the music was pretty good in my opinion, so I gave it an 8. In fact one song in particular I really liked because it had a song from my favorite drama, Autumn Concerto, in it. Let me just say, helll yeahhhhh. I knew right away, too. The rest of the OST was pretty good, and most of the songs were really cute and adorable, which I kind of liked.
I give the rewatch value an 8 because... well... I rewatched it so obviously there's some value there. Their cuteness and skinship was just... so... cute... so I had to come back. But the whole drama and the story, probably rewatch value would be more of a 7, just because the story is one of those you can only see once I guess... well idk I can't even say that because I watched it. Yeah, you can just decide for yourself. xD
Overall I give it an 8. There was some bad points and good points for this drama so I think 8 settles it just right, plus me rewatching it has to say something so it must have been pretty good, which it was. They took their romance slow. It blossomed in a cute way. It was rushed, or awkward, and Puff in love... omg it was so cute. Liang Liang was freaking adorable when she started to fall in love with him. And the way he would look at her... with that longing but also lust was just... so fucking hot and cute simultaneously. Ugh, just go have babies already, dude.
Anyway, I recommend this to anyone looking for a light, fun drama. :3
Given that I gave this drama a 7, I still REALLY liked it! More than liked it, I LOVED it. Just finished and I want to rewatch all the good moments. Even though I loved it so much, I still had to give it a 7 because of some cons which I will discuss below.
Cons: The plot, although it added its own unique twists here and there, was very similar to read moremany other drama plots. There were also a lot of drama cliches, but hey, that's why we love our asian dramas, right? Also, some parts were cringingly unbelievable (yelling at your new boss and being completely disrespectful and STILL keeping your job, whaaaaattt?!?!?!) There were two or three songs used, and although they were pretty songs, at around episode 15 I was sick of hearing them.
Pros: I really was able to like ALL of the characters in this drama (minus the evil ones of course). Usually when I watch dramas I think the guy is too mean, or the girl is not a strong character. But you end up really loving and respecting all the characters! The acting is really quite good, especially from Yan Aaron... I don't mean to be a fangirl, but he's also really hot, which is a plus! ;) There was really good chemistry between the main couple and much more skinship than other dramas. The kisses were REALLY good too! Also, the ending wrapped up all the loose ends and it was cute and I really liked this drama so you should watch it!
The end! ^-^
A great dorama, really liked. Not very often watch Taiwanese dramas, but this is really worth. Dean handsome general, and Liang Liang is very sweet. Did that ever seek out this excellent dorama. Very easy, fun and fast you are watching.
Omg, why didn't I watch this earlier? This is such an ADORABLE drama! I just wish that the situation with Jia Yu didn't take up half of the drama -_- Other than that, this is probably my favorite Taiwanese drama! :D
Asians are so freakin OBSESSED with their stupid, ludicrous, despicable love triangles, so stupid. Why can't we have a normal romance drama without this stupid bullcrap??? AISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you seen Cunning Single Lady(Sly and Single Again), it's the same actress as the main character in that drama, Lee Min Jung. It's not a sad one, just cute and romantic... :) And like I said, no stupid love triangles. Another one that was good with no triangles, at least that I remember was Nagareboshi, the only part I didn't like about it was the main character's brother, he was a real donkey, a huge jackass, other than that, it was really good... It's a Japanese drama...
Especially when they're strong and forceful triangles, and sometimes, they know they have absolutely no chance in a lifetime, been turned down countless times and they just don't seem to give up. They're the worst, such as in this drama, his ex, wow, she's a real number, from the moment she pops into the scene to the very end... Honestly, I think these kinds of writers just don't have anything else better to do but to frustrate you with their obsessions with love triangles. And, to be honest, I have to wonder or think that they've been the despicable idiots who were at the failed end of one sided loves and so that's why they're so obsessed and choose to put these dumb, shallow, despicable love triangles, seriously... It's time to get over it and move on and write some good, decent romances...
I watched this when it was airing, and although I wasn't exactly impressed with the show (it has it's up and downs), I will always remember it because of the goldfish. I really, really wanted a goldfish because of this show at the time.
Both my parents decided to fulfill my wish on my eighteenth birthday (a month after it finished airing) when I found out I had got two goldfish!
i must agree with the cute pairing comment. Hmmm how shall i say this, yes this drama might be the typical drama where the scene of heroin "accidental" stumble over clumsiness and hero is there to catch the heroin. However, there's no denying the chemistry they share in this drama that makes me smile everytime i see them together.
True, towards the middle of the drama, the story kinda dragged a little where it focuses on Qi Yi mother and family reunion. But the momentum starts to come back when they focus back towards Qi Yi and Liang Liang's relationship.
If you are the type who likes to watch an easygoing movie, where you want to keep on smiling to the end. Then you should watch this drama.
On the other hand, Xiao Yu, (2nd lead lady), i read few comments in regard to her acting. Hmmm.. im not an actress myself but, even i can feel if the actress is a good ones or need more polishing. Her acting is MEH.
love the pairing of Aaron and Puff. They are so natural. You should watch their behind the scenes. They are always scene flirting with each other. They must meet again for another drama. I really ship these two.
Didn't make it past ep 4 .__. I saw the spoilers for ep 4 and was like "You would seriously lock your BOSS and the OWNER of the house you are staying at out on the rooftop in the middle of the night?" (seriously made me facepalm). The whole "office love ban" rule and the housing and rooming together doesn't make sense to me much. Guy isn't going to propose to you in the office cause he's scared of losing his job.. why can't he just propose you outside of work hours? And you are going to room with a guy (total stranger) that bought the house and paid you back the 4 months or so of the prepaid rent that you made but you insisted that you want to stay there because you found the perfect home and doesn't want to leave? I just find alot of these things really irritating, unrealistic and silly :l I wouldn't mind silliness as long as it connects and is logical but those things aren't logical at all. I heard that the drama gets better after episode 5 but I don't know if I should continue watching it. . .
Just finished watching this drama and I say this is waaaaaaaayyyyy too cute. I immediately fell inlove with Aaron and Puff's pairing, I hope that their loveteam will soon make a comeback drama after puff's WGM Global and aaron's fall inlove with me.
Uuuurrrgggghhhh i really hate this feeling everytime I finished watching a drama, I'll stalk the main casts and get heart broken if I don't see what I wanted to see. I seriously love them both that it hurts!
Very cute drama. All in all I really enjoyed it. Liang Liang can be a litte bit annoying at times, but it's a very cute and happy drama anyway. The male lead is in a new Drama that just started, can't wait to watch it :)
