Qi Yi is a boss from hell. He is worst than a control freaking dictator. He is the saboteur of office romances. Cheng Liang Liang was tasked by her coworkers to break down the boss' defense and have him lift the anti-office-romance rule.

This is probably after a long time since I watched a Taiwanese drama and I am reviewing with a mind still fresh of "Just You".

Story : The story is very normal, little cheeky and stretched. Its obvious that stories like these are driven majorly by the "guy-girl-living-together-and-trying-to-keep-it-a-secret" plot. The guy shown as a cold and mean jerk whereas the girl is cheerful and enthusiastic. The writers of this story threw the read more "Boss-employee" relationship in this one. And ofcourse, to spice it up, "The Dating Ban".

Acting/Cast : They lightened up the story, they brought it to life. I really liked Aaron Yan and Kou Puff, their characters and how well they portrayed them. Lin Lyla as Ding Jia Yu, did a little bit of over acting (especially her "crying" scenes). The side characters were good, only the weird thing being, in a plot of "Forbidden Love in Office", everyone liked the other employee and ended up in a relationship (except the character of Dean!), if you noticed.

Music : It is simple, less and plain. As always, "Unstoppable Sun" by Aaron Yan is a song beautifully sung.

Rewatch Value : Yes, I have to be honest that despite this drama being stretched to 21 episodes, I do have some moments that I'd wanna look back at and if some of my friends ask me to watch together with them, I would. But, watching it alone in one go again will be very boring as the story will be known and it'll just feel like a drag.

Overall, A light story and if you're looking for Rom-Com (like I was until I stumbled at this!), then this is it, you're reading the right review. Enjoy watching. :)

This is a pretty good drama. There are both positive and negative points (only a few) in it, in my opinion.

I've been thinking of watching this for a really long time, but I didn't really have high hopes, cause I had read some negative reviews about it. I started it on a whim and turns out I was watching it the whole day and couldn't wait to finish it.

Story: I read more really liked the plot. When I first read it, I thought ok girl falls in love with her boss, that's new... But the way their relationship develops, the whole story in general, the characters, not only the main characters but also the supporting ones, their stories are all very nice and interesting and I really really enjoyed watching it.

Negative point: At some points you might think that things are dragging out too much. And in my opinion they do. This drama could have fewer episodes. The other negative thing, is that the episodes are really long. If you like watching a drama after it's completed, like I usually do, and wanna watch more than one episode a day, you'll probably get a bit tired at some point.

Acting/Cast: 9/10. Almost everyone was great. Aaron played his role sooo well!!! The other main and supporting actors were extremely good as well. Also, there are many good actors in this, like Hsieh Isa and Shen Meng Sheng. At some point I thought Kuo Puff's acting was too much, but yeap, only a couple of times. This doesn't get a 10 out of 10 from me, cause I didn't really like Lin Lyla. She is the main antagonist in this. Although you'll probably really really hate her, I think it's the character. Ding Jia Yu is probably one of the worst antagonists I've seen in all 6 years of watching asian dramas. I think the role was too big for Lin Lyla, she wasn't really good. But I just checked her profile and found out she's really young and this is probably her 1st drama (how did she get such a big role?) so I think, and hope, she'll improve in the future.

Music: I don't really have much to say, I really liked most of the songs. Too bad Aaaron only sang one song in this drama.

Rewatch value: I'd definitely rewatch this drama. It has both funny and sad sences, and some really cute and sweet ones. You can definitely fall in love with the characters, not only the main ones, but almost everyone. They are all so unique and cute in their own, adorable way.

Overall, I really liked it and I'd recommend it. Really nice story, very good cast and music. Eveyone did a good job in this drama, you should give it a try!! ^_^

Both are really enjoyable and light taiwanese dramas. Besides, Both have that same kind of plot:unpleasent guy meets sweet girl and slowly starts to change. Both have characters that had their heart broken in the past. The theme office romance is one more thing in common.
Puff Guo plays drastically different roles. She is bubbly in Just You and more down to earth in Pleasantly Surprised- however, both dramas are very romantic with stellar chemistry between the leads. Puff is a great actress-love her!

This was a Taiwanese IPKKND. Lol.

I enjoyed it because of Aaron Yan and his chemistry with Puff, along with the amazing second lead. They used every formula in the book for this one, and most of it worked, I thought.

Does this get better? I'm on the second episode and the annoying female lead keeps screaming for no reason.

I felt the same way! I was like how am I going to watch this drama when I cannot stand the female lead? It does get better and I do recommend following it through, she becomes more tolerable, whether due to her toning it down or us becoming more used to it :)

This drama was a pleasant surprise. Normally, I find characters like Liang Liang annoying; however, I gradually fell in love with her character. Aaron Yan and Dean Fujioka were both sexy as hell and I so enjoyed their interactions. The entire cast was great; I would love to work in an environment like theirs. I thought the verbal sparring between the potential mother-in-laws was hilarious. "Don't mes with their babies - LOL. The plot twists at the end was the ultimate; from Jia Yu entering the scene to the return of Qi Yi's mother kept me interested to the very end.

I liked the way they were same clothes from times to times. It feels more realistic this way.... Too bad that Jia Yu appeared and annoyed me a lot...What's wrong with her acting..really?

This is quite a good drama. There are a lot of cute moments. The chemistry between the leads is also outstanding. Aaron Yan's acting is improving and Puff's also great. The female lead has a very strong personality. The male leads has been hurt before and come out with a tough personality. I've laughing almost all of the eps. Highly recommended for those who prefer cute story line.!

Puff is my #1 girl crush...dont ever make her cry or i will finish you. Drama was okay, but not great, the side couples made it better and the ex girlfriend made it awful..I wouldn't rewatch it but it was better than i initially thought.
