Both are Korean dramas about an ordinary girl becoming a princess and learning that life as royalty is not all glitz and glam. Also both dramas have a romantic theme of hate turning into love.

They're both about royalty. The male protagonist is also arrogant, wealthy, and stubborn. The female protagonist is surprised to discover that she's actually royalty and is put under tremendous pressure, very much like Hang Ah (to become Queen) and they're both unused to luxury.

they both deal with the royal family trying to strive and people trying to bring them down, relationships, and all that stuff along with a lil bit of comedy

I never thought I would love this drama. When it first came out I didn't pay attention to it, I thought it was some silly princess movie, but boy I was wrong.
I love the characters and how they are straight to the point.
I really recommend this drama.
I like it so much I will buy the Boxset from YA like I always do to the ones I really like, so I can watch it all over and all over again. =)

Both dramas takes story in fictional Korea where royal family was restored (or never dethroned). Both dramas focus on love story and responibilities and dificulties that come with the corwn.

Might sound weird but I think, what will make you love both dramas is simply because it has the same feel to it, in both dramas there is this one person you hate until you go CRAZY and the main guy who is really awesome (and handsome of course) They are your typical k-drama with a twist which will either make you fall in love or hate. In the end of each drama you'll love the couples cause they have the same "best friends and lovers" feel to it.

Both female leads find out they're connected to royalty. Both shows start off from rags to riches, then suddenly they become royalty with money. Both Female leads have this quirky way of doing things, which makes sense, as they are learning how to live differently from what they've known their whole lives.

My princess kept reminding me of pasta while I was watching it. Then I learned that they were done by the same director.
If you want a similar romance drama with the same lovable vibe, and a slowly progressing romance, with good acting cast…
They even have similar music.
Both are very addicting after the first episode.

similarities-------:

*rich Male lead have girl in his heart
*all is going well until he find out his family inheritance somehow will go to FL,
*both FL are adopted
*unexpectedly secret come to ML that FL are princess

difference--------:

LOD -has prideful(in right manner) self respect introvert FL. ML obsessed. historical

MP- has funny cheerful let go things FL. obsession is part of love but not in controlled way. modern era

note: my princess is much better

The main guys in both hate the female leads at first due to their family's past but end up falling madly in love with them in the end. Also these two dramas are probably the most romantic one's I've ever seen with enough angst to tug at your heartstrings.

Both contain a similar plot : one girl who became princess within a couple of weeks !

In My princess she is the real princess in Princess Hour ( Thai) she "have" to marry the prince !

Both are funny and some good romance :D

Both are classics must watch to me.
The leads meet casually and become "partners in crime". Both MLs are in love with someone else at the beggining but, when they eventually fall in love with the FL, they can't easily get a happy ending because in My girl they have to fake they're cousins and in My princess they're apparently enemies.
Very interesting plots, with many moments that make you laugh and others that make you cry!

Both have female leads that need to grow up and become strong in order to take power with leading men that are there to help them succeed. Also, both female leads have a strong fashion sense live in mansions with the staff as supporting cast. My Princess is a little more exciting though.

both dramas both have issues with a huge inheritance being given to a female although it was the male's family own first.
