What a superb family drama! It will make you weep, cheer and then roar with laughter. You will at times really wonder if there are families or folks similar to what we saw in this drama. I marathoned this one and for me it was certainly worthwhile. I highly recommend it !

Entertaining and thought provoking. I would have given a 10 for re-watch value but 50 episodes is alot to re-watch. read more In my opinion the pieces all fell where they should at the end.

Kudos to the cast & crew for making this one so memorable.

Great family drama, love how even hard times they had. They still stuck together.I still not a fan of how the mother raised her children, giving more love and attention to only her spoiled, gold digger older daughter and mistreating her second daughter. But, she got her karma, well they both did. The woman of the family had many issues, dealing with marriage and career, love, in-laws. But, they stuck together..The son in-laws, read more should how rich or poor you will have to deal with being marriage and in-laws.My heart went out to the oldest son in-law. He was treated badly by his wife and family, but in the end he found the woman he should had been with. The second son in-law, was a lazy, worthless man. Who in my opinion should had gotten his butt kicked for cheating. His wife had to deal with a lot from him, his family and hers. It takes a strong woman to deal and forgive a unfaithful man. As for the third son in-law, he just wanted to be happy and loved. He could be a little unstable and hot tempered, but, after meeting his birth mother and having a pushy, hot tempered father. You would understand why, hes the way he is..

My favorite character in this drama, was the grandmother, she spoke her mind, she don't hold back. She was funny, love the sounds she make when things make know sense to, you would have to hear it. My second favorite character was the oldest son in-law, damn good actor. When he cried, you would want to cry. Hes the only person in the drama I felt sorry for. He had it the hardest, but, never gave up...

Awesome drama, this will be my come back and re-watch drama...9/10 stars.

Both are long family dramas. Person Who Gives Happiness is much more makjang. The actress who plays the female lead is the same in both dramas. The plot and the feel of both dramas is very different but the female lead ends up with a very sweet and supportive husband in both.

Both are longer family dramas with around 45 episodes. The main couple in the drama faces opposition from their families. Both are sweet romances with lots of family drama.

I, too, finished this drama but felt the need to FF many parts. The grandmother was hilarious (now watching her in High Kick 1) … there were moments of such tenderness between Mom and Dad even thought Mom was really annoying most times … initially I did not care for the character played by Oh Man-suk, but his acting was so superb that he grew on me; Lee Tae-run also did quite well playing the part of Hopark, the 2nd daughter.

The story I enjoyed the most was that of Go Min-jung (played by Jo Sung-ha), husband of the 1st daughter Soopark and how he reconnected with his 1st Love. Jo SH was so fantastic in this show, he received an award for his acting. I watched the last 25 minutes or so of the last episode three times … that's how much I enjoyed his acting.

Surprisingly, the 3rd daughter's story (Gwangpark, played by Lee Yoon-ji) was of the least interest to me. I did not think Lee YJ's acting here was up to par, with a lot of "overacting" in many scenes … and, therefore, I did not feel there was any chemistry between her and Han Joo-wan.

Overall, I give this drama a "7," the highest score for any drama when I FF through many scenes. It is worth a one-time watch.

Great drama. I admit that I did fast forward some parts but I LOVED the Gwangbak-Sangnam couple. Amazing chemistry right from the start.
And Choi Won Hong/ Not only is this child-actor amazing, but the character made me wish I had a little brother too!

Just finished watching the last episode, very weird, how they rushed the ending. But, it was still a good drama. would had like to see the third sister have a baby. And See how the kids grew up. but, I truly enjoyed every min.

    I finished watching it yesterday.

I might not see myself in any of the characters but it was still a very amusing but also very -I wanna kill- drama.

I recommend it but it's probably not a drama that I will re-watch (I watched each episode 3 times...)

I gave it a 9/10 because it was a family drama that is a little unlike the family dramas I've watched. It was enjoyable as it was frustrating. Actors did a great job and scriptwriters didn't change the story all of the sudden in fact they kept it pretty clean through out the whole drama.
