Prior to watching the movie, I had read the manga and watched the anime, and I am pretty sure that the movie has a much faster pace than the manga. While the critical elements of the plot were present, its pace felt a little too rushed. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the movie very much as it was really really fluffly and sweet *_* Fukushi Sota made a really good Yamato and Kawaguchi Haruna read more was a brilliant Mei as well! I would definitely recommend this to those who are seeking for a fluffy and cute movie that will leave you smiling to yourself at the end.

Well I will start with the fact that I did enjoy the movie. It was cute and I really enjoyed the characters but...... I read the manga.
Character development was the big problem. The Main couple was clearly the focus but I found myself wanting to know more about the support characters. Example I wont say who because of the spoilers but one character was suppose to be an antagonist was barely read more seen and was more.... gentle than I anticipated.
Storyline was also a problem. There was way to much jumping around. Now movies or dramas that are adapted from manga don't necessarily have to follow the main plot but it didn't seem to flow. It felt more like watching several unfinished movies than one. This was probably because there was no big bad antagonist or climax.
I will think I would of liked it slightly more if I didn't read the manga and didn't have my own expectations. If you are looking for a break from action movies or horror flicks then this movie is for you. If I missed something I would love to hear your opinions.

Both are based on shoujo manga and the characters are kinda similar.

    Say I love you"
The anime was beautiful, Live Action is still beautiful. Sukitte Ii na yo. Has a great story the highlight is because of the perfect choice of cast. Perfect performance!

I mean it was cute, but I sort of lost interest. Usually, if I discovered an interesting one, nothing every distracts me. However when I was watching, I found myself on my phone during really slow parts.

The kisses were frequent but awkward. There wasn't much chemistry between the two I feel. Fukushi Sota has a gorgeous face and smile though haha The girl felt a bit robot-like..

In the manga, Mei was like a robot because she didn't show interest in anything because she is scared to make friends.

Haven't read the manga but I really liked the anime, and this is just a faster paced version of it. Perfect weekend movie for anyone who wants to see a sweeter side of high school love. :-*

The romance wasn't believable. I enjoyed the movie until they kissed. After that it became the typical shojuo movie where the shy heroine with low self esteem doesn't think she's good enough for the hero. So tired of watching these cliche stories where the hero is put on a pedestal.

I have not read the manga nor watched the anime and Iiked it. I did read all the comments below and I guess since I was starting with a "clean slate", story flowed smoothly and the acting was good. Definitely a good movie for me.

For me who hasn't read the manga nor watched the anime, it was pretty good! Liked it mainly because of Fukushi Sota. He is so hot *o*
