I just finished this drama... and I am totally emotionally drained right now. I cryed soo much in the last episode, that my tears would create a river :D But lets go to the official review....

This drama is amazing! That is all you need to know to start watching it. Of course, it has more then 100 episodes, but they are only 30 minutes long, so you wont really spend that read more much time on it.

I would like to start from the very beginning - parents story. Lets face the true: usually, its the most boring part of dramas. At first, I thought that I would skip it and go right to the actual story. But I warn you... DONT DO THIS! Story of their parents is actually really good as a stand alone story. Its sad, but amazing and really romantic. I really enjoyed it! And actors are just amazing... it has so many feels! Plus there are some really important aspects of the story and if you miss it, you will be lost later. So I will recommend you to watch fully watch it :)

As for the actually story of princess Su Baek Hyang. Again, it is amazing. From the beginning to the end, you will not feel bored. Actors are doing amazing job with every role that is given to them. I was never a big fan of Seo Woo, but she did amazing job with her villain character. And the main characters are soooo good! Main pairing is sooo sweet! Perfect!

There are so many things I loved about this. One of them were characters... They are very complex and fun to watch. Good guys are not not just "good" they have their bad side too. And vice versa. It is always fun to watch characters like this, because you never know what to expect from them!
There is also another thing. This drama does NOT have love triangle. OMG! Really... for a 100+ eps drama to NOT have a love triangle. Its like a precious jewel :D yet it still have interesting story to watch :D

About the story... its complicated :D I sometimes felt like I need to make a diagram about who is whos son and daughter :D
But who I loved the most was the main actress. SHE HAS SUCH A HIGH POTENTIAL! I enjoyed her to the bits! Perfect perfomance in every scene! She can be really funny, but also dramatic. Her character had the best development, yet she remained true to herself. I was really amazed by her acting skills! Bravo to her and every other actor and actress!

As I wrote... the story is amazing! Even if this is 100+ drama... and it has its own flaws... its perfect watch! Very entertaining and fun.

Would highly suggest this drama to anyone who is searching for a good Sageuk. Was wonderful from the very first episode to the last episode with no annoying slow filler episodes in between.

The plot for the story was very tightly written so there are no huge holes or what the heck moments to deal with. It was also a great romance as well as providing the viewer with great historical context. read more If you are looking for a historical drama to watch this would be my #1 suggested drama.

Also the episodes are short so the 108 episode count is misleading. It is not at all a hard drama to get through.

Plots are similar, the heroine tries to find his twisted sibling. They must contend with the intrigues of his jealous relatives, but despite everything finds true love. Even though Glass Slippers end tragically.

Excellent drama series. My rating 97%

Episodes are 30 min, so really 54 episodes instead of 108

I didn't want it to end, it was sooo good, although last two episodes could have been a little more engaging--like all the episodes that came before. It felt a little too "wrapped up" at the very end, although it was a good ending.

I loved the character "Kuchon," played by Yoon Tae-young--sincere expressions and captivating smile! Also, Seo Hyun-jin was amazing portraying Solnan--she is beautiful physically as well as her personalityl!

All of the actors were excellent, as well as the cinematography and storyline. I could easily watch this again!

"The King's Daughter, Soo Baek Hyang" is definitely worth watching and one of the best historical dramas I've seen (which are many)! It's at the top of my list with my other favorites!

I liked the beggining and the end. I felt like a middle of the drama was too draggy sometimes.
    Still, a good watch.

I'm 20 episodes in and I'm spellbound. I've already cried buckets and I agree wholeheartedly about Kuchon. Of all the characters, I am most invested in him. He makes you FEEL so much when he is on the screen and all without saying a word. That's special. Not to mention the fact that most women would kill to have a man like Kuchon by our sides.

Absolutely loved it! And the best part - no love triangle!!! Such dramas are so hard to come by! For that alone this one is my favorite, but the plot & acting, music - it all was so good! This one will be re-watched for years to come ^^

Is there any other such drama without any love triangle where the couple stays true to their feelings throughout the drama? I'd love to see it too ;)

The best non-triangle-y ones I seen so far: Witch's Romance & Dalja's Spring!

But also, try to finish Protect the Boss cuz it really was actually ~brilliant xD

Welcome! PTB is ~kind of "triangle-y", but only in an awesome #OT3/4 way! ;P

& I forgot to mention Coffee Prince - almost zero triangle, very well-done too.. ;)

The only character that has sincerely moved me to tears almost every time he is on screen is Kuchon (I don't know what it is about this man - but he moves my heart!) <3 <3 <3

I don't know if it's the actor or the character but something about Jinmu's gaze just draws me into him <3 I love his moments with his "sister" <3

Absolutely amazing! I could hardly pull my eyes away - and after every episode I never hesitated to click the next one! I loved it <3

I think the ending (although good) should have been a little longer & have more romantic/cute scenes between the couples (at least between the main couple - I was satisfied with the second couple but I fell slightly cheated with the main couples very short scene at the end). The ending felt rushed but I read that it was cut pretty drastically by like 12 episodes or something - so that would explain it - they "tidied everything up pretty good - I just really think we needed more screen time between the main couple"

But overall a really great drama that I'd highly recommend to others! *NO LOVE TRIANGLES* <my favorite kinds! lol

Favorite characters in order: Kuchon, Jinmu, Solnan, & Myongnong. I disliked Solhi (the acting was good) her character was horrible - at times I liked her and at times I hated her.

I'll never forget Kuchon <3 That man was just perfect! So much LOVE, so much HEART, so much SINCERITY <3 Best character hands down!!!

and Jinmu, the hurt soul, who had such an innocent heart, although he ended up doing a few bad things - he never truly had ill intent deep inside - he was hurting and he was trying to escape :'( I felt for him at every bump and turn ^^ Loved his character ;)

This was a very great drama. It dragged some around 60-70 but after that what a ride of emotions.

Everything was great,The greatest thing was the process to become the savior of Baekje (Soo Baek Hyang) portrayed by Sol Nan.I watched hyun-jin as a negative character at jeongi goddess of fire, but this time she doesn't care to become dirty and bloody.she plays an immature carefree daddy's girl who just loves to eat chicken, but after what happened to her family she grows more and more.i love the scene that she pretends to being a feeble-minded girl who wants chicken from her husband.but i think final episodes are filmed just to lengthen the drama.the ending was so disappointing for me,i thought ending would be different.she allows seol hee to ruin their mother's memory as a fine woman into a treacherous one and time after time deceive her and threaten her.anyway i love drama and watched its 108 episodes at 4 days
