In the summer of 1995, childhood friends Zheng Ren Wei and Lin Jia En took their college entrance exam. Zheng got into a college in Taipei and was ready to start an exciting life in the big city. Lin, unfortunately, failed the test and was stuck in the countryside. Bored out of her mind, Lin decided to go find Zheng and spend her 4th year of high school in Taipei as well.

First of all, I'd like to say that this drama is different from other dramas! The drama is beautiful and the chemistry between the two leading characters is off the charts. The story goes at a steady pace unlike many other dramas. I really love this drama because it's so refreshing and it's a nice change.

Story: First of all, I'd like to tell you to ignore the synopsis for this drama. read more It only tells you what happens in the first thirty minutes of the drama. The main character, Lin Jia En does NOT pursue her childhood friend Ren Wei or try to "lure" him in as the synopsis says, I'm not even sure she had special feelings for him in the first place. It's more like he's a special friend to her and she looks up to him, that's why she wanted to follow him but upon following him to where he went to college, she learned that she had to be independent and not rely on him as much.

This drama doesn't revolve around one thing. The supporting cast plays a big role in the drama, it isn't only about the leading characters. The drama includes friendships, first loves, family, college life and change. The friendships are strong in this drama and they play a big part.

Characters: One of the best things about this drama is that there's no evil rivals. The characters in the drama are sincerely good people and you can really relate to them. Both the leading actress and second lead actress are incredible: both of them consider each others feelings and stay good friends. It's truly realistic. The interactions between the main couple and the other couples are so cute too! I love how at first the leading actor, Liu Chuan, seems perfect in every aspect but as the story progresses you see he has his flaws as well. Ren Wei also redeems himself, at first he may seem inconsiderate but as the story continues, you'll understand him more. Not to mention how difficult it is to stay angry at him, he is simply hilarious. xD

There's not a single character I hate in the drama, all of them are beautifully written with their own personalities and conflicts.

Music: Songs match with what's happening and a nice touch to the drama!

If you want a change from the melodramas or unrealistic story plots, you should consider watching this drama because I'm loving it so far! :D

This was such a refreshing drama with well rounded characters. It tells a beautiful story about people just like us, who are trying to find their own voice and identity.

Things I liked: There were no evil characters, just beautiful and flawed ones. I became invested in all of their stories and I felt that I was a part of their group. The slow cooked romance was beautifully done, even though sometimes read more the pacing might become frustrating for some. The acting was pretty good generally, especially Lego Li, who seemed so genuine in his reactions. The friendships were the heart of the show and I really like how they supported each other. The writers did a terrific job in linking very small details and events; there were a great deal of symbols spread throughout the show and I thought the characters had very deep and meaningful conversations most of the times. There was also a great deal of humour and I laughed out loud many times while I only cried about two times.
The music was also very good and it helped build up the 90's vibe.
Most of the time this drama was very realistic and I felt like it was a delicious slice of life.

Things I didn't like: Well, I really loved this drama, so there aren't many things I can complain about except...the ending. The ending wasn't bad, it was acceptable, but it left me wanting more. I read there will be a movie so hopefully we will get te answers we were looking for.

I recommed this drama to those of you who want to take a break from the usual crazy plots and who want to be pleasently surprised.

Both dramas represent youth & their problems in adolescent years. In a good way have a lesson about never giving up on dream much as in WFKBJ.
If you can watch Taiwanese dramas, give it a go!!

Both dramas are feel-good, slice-of-life college dramas. They both follow a group of friends as they enter their first year of college and looks at the struggles and joys that come with friendships, relationships, and college. The characters all seem real and complex.

This is actually one of my favorite Taiwanese dramas. I thought they did a really good job with this one. I was going to give it a 10 because I thought the story and the characters were strong. However, I did think it dragged a little by the end especially when it hit around the episode 20 mark.

1,5h! That's a complete movie! Bruhh whats up with asian dramas and their way too long episodes. It's almost more like a bunch of sequels of a movie, instead of episodes of a show.

whoever recommend Love O2O, man what a coincidence! I just finished both (one after another) without the help of this recommendation. I must say it's an excellent recommendtation however.
these dramas are so alike. I just had a serious withdrawal issue right now.

what the fuck is that ending? this is so not good for my heart.... there is no sense of closure and i am left with more questions that ill never be able to get answers to. I was INVESTED in this drama. NO WONDER THEY SHOWCASED THE STORY OF THE TITANIC SO POIGNANTLY. they both have that same bittersweet ending thing going on. the only consolation is that nobody dies in this one. thank god for small mercies huh?

It is an open ending. romance wise is not bad, but not as much as love 020.

I tried watching this a few months back but forgot about it cuz of school and other dramas i was watching, but picked it up again today. Each episode is as long as a movie, so i only finished episode 1 so far, BUT OMG THIS IS SUCH A GEM AND I'M SO GLAD I CONTINUED.

The first half of this drama was amazing. However, the story seemed to change its focus for the second half away from friendships and relationships which made it a little boring for my taste :(
