Strong start

What an incredible first episode. Hereby I award the father with the best-father-in-drama-history-award.
No, seriously.
Their relationship made me cry.
The love relationship was so cute too. But I think it will be really hard on her. Well it was for a good reason, but think what he did to her father.......
And the whole laborary thing...... I felt like I was back in history class, when we watched those scary nazi documentaries and read diary logs of those who were human experiments and so on. You learn a lot about inhuman experiments when you are German.....just scary.......cry.....
So this first episode was packed with suspense and tragedy. Hope there will be some happy times too. I'm already a nervous wreck after one hour of this drama.

Doctor Stranger Pilot Review

For the first half of the episode it gave me a strong feeling of deja vu. City Hunter (Another drama whose plot foundation was laid on a crucial North-South Korea feud) and this drama seemed to have a tad bit too many similarities. Even the actors (Doctor Park and Assemblyman Jang play the pivotal characters in this show as well) had me making comparisons. But that's where the similarities ended, imo.

Lee Jong Suk breathes fresh air into the episode as soon as he appears (dancing to "Tell Me" XD) and has you hooked onto him with each passing second. It was a delight watching him and I'm giddy with excitement at the prospect of being able to watch him throughout the series.

Tbh, a lot happened in this one episode, but the amazing part is, you don't feel that ANY of it rushed. Everything moves at a fast but fairly good pace. I'm rooting for this show, because after a long while, a pilot episode has had me this interested. I can only hope this level of amazing is carried forward in the rest of the series.
