I gave it a really high score because I just enjoyed watching this drama. I saw many negative reviews about this drama so I'm pretty sure that they won't agree with me. The story is about two people in love who were separated by their own circumstances for 7 years. This simple story already attracted me but what made me love the story more was the flashback scenes during their college days read more which were very crucial in creating this kind of drama.

It was my first time to watch the main leads in a project and their acting was just fine . I also wasn't able to read the novel in which this drama was based from so I'm not quite sure if the readers' idea of Yichen and Mosheng was played faithfully by Wallace and Tiffany. More than the main leads, Xiao Xiao (Mi Lu) and Yuan Feng (Yang Le)'s story stole the show for me. They were so entertaining to watch that I wish they even had more scenes because they were so great!

Just like "Boss & Me", the music did not disappoint and can easily make you feel good. My favorite was the opening song by Zhang Jie with the same title as the drama. I'm already downloading the OST as of writing this review haha!

I'm not a rewatcher so I didn't give a high score for that though I'd be fine in rewatching some of the scenes that made me happy and feel good. Overall, the drama had its fair share of angst (also annoying) and romantic moments but still managed to be a relaxing watch which made me love it. I haven't watched so many good C-dramas yet but I consider this as one of the good ones so far so you may try this out if you're craving for some romantic/nostalgic-themed drama to watch.

Let me just start by saying that this is one of the few dramas that I have watched without missing a scene. The acting was phenominaly done. So real. And I'm not just talking about the leads. All the characters were so real, not overdone like other dramas. So much chemistry between the main couple. Such a beautiful love story.. I'm so envious... *sigh*.
The only flaw was how much they butchered read more the English language... wow it was so bad. But I found it kind of entertaining still, I guess they tried their best.
I also really hated Mosheng's wardrobe... I don't think I'm the only one.
Overall I definitely recommend this drama, you will not regret it.

Female lead is not only the same actress, but the characters are suuuuuuper similar! Cheerful, optimistic, etc etc.

Supporting female is also similar: Rude and obnoxious model/actress who become likable.

Anyone know if this is dubbed?

edit* Tiffany Tang's short haircut looks bad xD

edit 2* I may drop it, I don't usually like romance dramas where one of the characters already have bf/gf in the beginning, it makes for a messy drama lol

edit 3* Dropped for now, I'll give it another chance later. Wei Young is such a strong character and Tiffany's character her is so mousy timid, always looking down lol

Just got around to watching this. It caught my eye a month or so ago and have been putting it off since. The story starts slowly and misunderstandings cause some frustration for the viewer, but it clears up rather quickly and progresses well after the University flashbacks are finished.

I thought the characters portraying the mains in college were amazing and really cute. I almost loved them more than the older versions. But Wallace was amazing in his portrayal. I loved how he was calm and collected throughout. I thought he was going to go "noble idiot" at one point, but he flipped the script for the better. Both leads played off each other well. Tiffany was good, but her character was tough to portray. Overall it was excellent and both leads were mature and resolute in their feelings for one another. There wasn't much angst, but instead a beautiful story.

I watched this drama because I had just finished Princess Weiyoung and needed something that Tiffany Tang was in since she's one of my favorite actresses.
I watched the drama first then read the novel it was based on and then watched the movie.
definitely novel >>>>>drama >>movie (although I liked all three!!!!)

the only thing I didn't like about this drama was the second couple/side characters. They aren't in the book and they were kind of boring in the drama. Some people may find this drama a bit slow, especially at the beginning, but that is typical of many cdramas. But the main couple is very sweet and they are totally worth your time and their story is quite nice. I like how the drama added lots of extra cute scenes and stuff for the main couple that wasn't in the novel, so that was a really nice move by the writers.

the movie version is actually not as bad as people say, and I liked it because it didn't have those unnecessary second couple/side characters parts

but the novel is hands down the best out of the three. the novel is probably the #1 romance novel in most book polls in China too :D

also, the opening and ending theme songs for this drama are both really good!! :D

is it just me, or did anyone else found he song "Two roads diverged in the woods" creepy. I loved the music but the lyrics made no sense. They did not fit the scene or storyline. They just didn't feel like a song telling something. The lines in the lyrics did not complement each other.

well i don't know how you cannot relate this song.
      The lyrics are like this-
Two roads diverge in the yellow wood- Means the road she chose leaving yichen and the one which leads her to yichen
I go back and rechoose If I could- Means if she could've gotten a chance she would've changed her decision(yichen's path)
But here i lay so sick and so confuse- she is referring to the state(PAIN and SAD) in which she is!

When I read the comments, I was expecting a sappy romance with cliche characters. It surprised me. They were mature and honest, which is a refreshing expectation. I won't say it was full of angst, as they handled the misunderstandings quite well. I wasn't expecting much and I don't really go for long dramas, but I'm happy I picked this one. I'd say its 75% good and 25% draggy, Hence I rate it a 7.5.

Although i had to skip most of the parts to the main leads' part I was still able to grasp the story! If I only i had time to watch the whole episode i wouldve enjoyed it so muc. The chemistry between leads is amazing❤ Tiffany is my new fav chinese actress i saw her first in princess weyoung and shes so pretty and cute. I wasnt attracted to wallace chu before but when i saw him in general and I i fell in love with him immediately which led me to watch this drama.

Starts off slow...but gets interesting as they show the flashbacks
I swear the flashbacks of the younger actors are so cute they should make an entire prequel drama based on it

I am obsessed with his dress shirts. I don't know if it's a better quality shirt or if wallace just wears it better, but he looks impeccable in them. The guys' shirts do not look as neat and wrinkle free.

I look like a hot mess, where can I get shirts like that?
Or should I take lessons on how to wear clothes like wallace?
