Story: I'm a sucker for dramas about people aspiring to be a star and the road they go through to achieve it and of course with romance and comedy. So I naturally had to watch this. I loved the beginning but didn't like the direction it went towards the later episodes. I won't mention anything so I don't spoil it for anyone.

Acting/Cast: Again, I loved the cast! I love Chris, he read more has recently become one of my favourite actors from King Flowers. He was amazing! And he was amazing in this too! *little fan girl squeal* Was a bit iffy that they had their singing dubbed though. I also used to really like Kimi back when she debuted but was disappointed when she didn't appear in much dramas anymore until the recent years. So yes, I was thrilled to see her in this! She was a little too animated and bubbly in this, but by the end you could see her growth and maturity which is great! I was also quite surprised to hear her sing! She wasn't dubbed. However, in the last episode, they dubbed her with Jia Jia's singing - which was actually meant to be the singing voice for Nita. To me that was a fail. XD Also worth mentioning was Mami, she was so adorable and her singing was so sweet and innocent. Love her voice.

Music: The opening song by Ah Shin was amazing! I got chills every time I listen to it! I usually skip the opening and straight to the drama, but for this I listened to it every time! Love it! Also was never a big fan of Mayday but I've heard so much good songs from them! Really talented and awesome music!

Rewatch Value: I would skip through the episodes just to watch Chris!

Overall: Although this drama was not perfect it was still a great drama. Great start! Great end! Great acting! Great music! Great story! Best of all, there wasn't much dragging at all. I really enjoyed this one and would recommend it to everyone!

I'm not going to lie so I'm going to say that two of the biggest reasons for watching this drama at first was Chris Wu and the synopsis that involved music. Turns out that this one is probably one of the most decent and spectacular Taiwanese dramas I've seen up to date. Although what I just said may sound like I'm over exaggerating considering that the story of this drama is not read more something stunning, however the presentation of the story was off the charts. I think this drama did a great job of taking a typical story about people with big dreams and turning it into something that gives us the emotional feels inside.

Next, simply put, the acting of the cast was just so well done. Of course I adored Chris Wu's acting because I feel like every part of him could act. Kimi did a great job and didn't make me want to barf like some other T-drama leads. Yes at first, her character made me feel really vexed because it was too "over" but it made great developments as the drama went on. Nita and Mike did a decent job with their acting too. Actually, the supporting cast and staff were so awesome in this drama.

The music in this drama is freakin' mind-numbing. I don't think I've ever listed to an opening song so much from a Taiwanese drama in my life. You're the Only One by Mayday is now one of my favorite songs and will forever remain so. Now I started to take notice of Mayday ever since I found out that they were behind this song. The other songs from this drama such as the ending by Jia Jia is so nice to hear too. It is one of those slow songs that that I actually like listening to which is rare.

Even though this is a Chris Wu drama, this drama portrays a journey and it is very hard to capture those same feelings when watching this drama again.

Overall this drama got a lot of things right from the start. It is an all-round recommended T-drama to watch and will not bore the hell out of you.

Make a Recommendation Recommendations

There are some pretty strong parallels between the two main leads in each series plot-wise and both titles involve the music industry as well.

Both dramas have Chris Wu as the lead and he is a producer of some form in both. Also the female lead of Rock 'n' Road was also in What is Love, but played a different character.

It was funny all the way and pretty sweet in the end. Everybody in the cast did a great job, especially Wu Chris and Lee Mike (unfortunately so far he only acted in family dramas that are so darn long -_- ). I watched the version with NG segment after every episode which was the best part, so I think that changed my opinion about the drama a lot.

Started out fun but got really hard to keep watching at around ep 12... but still finished it with lots of skips.

Just started watching this (on episode 7 as of right now). Tbh my first impression of this drama: terrible. I love this type of drama genre ,but the main character is stupidly naive, and I hate now she and the other characters just let the chick plagiarize. If the main character was't so naive it would be more enjoyable because I would be able to see her get spectacular revenge. However, I'm sticking with this and hoping it gets better, but by the looks of the comments, it only gets worse from here. BUT WE CAN DO IT!

It started out soooo dumb, but i couldn't really drop it. So I kept watching, and it ended up being the gosh darn best drama I've seen in in so long time.

Though the story was so-so, the growth of characters was quite interesting...
And Chris Wu was stunning, as always...

A bit too many cliches and lack of depth for me to rate this very high... :/ I'd say the first half was around a 7 or 8, but the second half was definitely around a 4. At least the acting was good and the camera work consistently pretty ^^

What other Chinese does Lin Wei Zhen speak in this drama? Mandarin and what else is that? She calls her mom Abu.. or something like that.

I'm not watching the show but from the looks of it, you're referring to Taiwanese Hokkien.

Sorry to those that love the main girl's character, but I find her REALLY annoying. The only reason why I'm still watching this is cuz I'm hoping for her to change. xP

I admit the first few eps were annoying bc i couldnt used to the main female lead, but i grew to understand and love her so much. The whole cast was awesome, great music and lots of laughs. I love it so much, 9:)

It started out awesome, but then by the again began to drag, and then they hurried up and finished it off in haste. The plot was average and the acting was alright. However, the soundtrack was phenomenal. It really does have one of the best drama OSTs ever.

Show was cute, but the last two episodes were a disgrace. Such a disappointment. Oh well...
