Shining Inheritance - The Spoiled Heir

http://i50.tinypic.com/29bd750.jpg

In this drama, Lee Seung Gi plays the role of a spoiled heir. He has lived a pampered life and as a result he has grown to be arrogant and to have very little respect for money or for the people that work hard to earn it. As a woman who started off poor and worked hard to gain her wealth, his grandmother has had enough of his spoiled behavior and decides to teach him the value of a dollar.
Out of all of his dramas that I have seen, this is definitely my favorite. While watching this series, you may want to keep a box of tissue handy. There is a lot of emotion in this story and I felt that he was able to handle it all splendidly. This is the first drama that I saw him in and it is the reason I became his fan.

Shining Inheritance was the first drama I saw Seung Gi in, and fell in love. I had no idea who he was before watching the drama. I watched it solely for the storyline and the fact that it had good reviews. As soon as I started watching the first episode I felt drawn to Seung Gi's character immediately. Maybe because he wasn't your typical pretty boy main lead. As the drama progressed I started loving his character more and more and by the end - he became my favorite Korean actor.
Following Shining Inheritance I found out that he's also a singer (that Karaoke scene in the early episodes had me swooning). "Will You Marry Me" was the first song I remember listening to by him, and it's still one of my favorites!

My Girlfriend is a Gumiho - When a Man Loves a Fox
http://i47.tinypic.com/dqh07.jpg

My Girlfriend is a Gumiho has remained my all time favorite drama since the moment I started watching it. After Shining Inheritance I was anxious to watch something else with Seung Gi in it. Shining Inheritance was melodramatic and serious, while My Girlfriend is a Gumiho focused more on comedy and I still laugh at some of the scenes that take place.
Some might say that the characters of Woo Hwan (Shining Inheritance) and Dae Woong (My Girlfriend is a Gumiho) are really similar. They kind of are: Woo Hwan is an arrogant jerk from a rich family. He's also a spoiled brat and never had to work a day in his life. But when he's forced to work and he falls in love, he changes. He lives with his grandmother, mother and sister.
Dae Woong is also a spoiled rich kid who wants to be an action star. He runs away one day and discovers Gu Mi Ho. And when he starts to fall in love, he becomes an even sweeter and mature guy. He lives with his grandfather and mother.
While Dae Woong isn't as much of a jerk as Woo Hwan, there's still similarities in the characters.

In My Girlfriends is a Gumiho, you get to see the comedic side of Lee Seung Gi. He plays the role of an aspiring actor who spends his days getting into trouble and causing all sorts of worry for his Grandfather. Somehow, he unwillingly attracts the love and devotion of a nine-tailed fox.As you can imagine, this causes all kinds of hilarious situations. After all, it's not every day that a gumiho falls in love with a mortal. Like I said, this drama showcases Lee Sung Gi's comedic side, but don't let that fool you. This drama has a healthy portion of serious moments too. While watching this drama, you will laugh, cry, and sometimes your heart will melt. It's definitely a must-see for Lee Seung Gi fans. ^^

King2Hearts - The Reluctant Prince
http://i50.tinypic.com/2ds33ms.jpg

King2Hearts, the most recent drama that had us Seung Gi fans squealing with each episode! It even converted some non-Seung Gi fans.  :p
In King2Hearts, South Korea is still a monarchy (still ruled by Kings and Queens instead of a President). The King, Lee Jae Gang (Lee Sung Min), wants peach with the North. His brother, Lee Jae Ha (Lee Seung Gi) is a bit of a player, has little interest in politics and is very blunt about what he wants. Kim Hang Ah (Ha Ji Won) is a top female instructor for North Korea's elite special forces unit. She's got everything that it takes to be a perfect soldier. But she lacks in being a lady, and while innocent and pure, she wants nothing more than to fall in love and get married. So when Jae Ha is sent to the North as a soldier and is forced to work with Hang Ah, they start building a relationship that will change their lives.
Anyone who watched this drama knows of the emotional roller coaster this drama was (especially those of us watching it while it aired - waiting and anticipating each episode!) The first few episodes were okay, but once the later episodes came it was hard to pull away from the screen! And Lee Seung Gi, once again, astounded me on screen. While some may also argue that his character is similar to his previous roles, I really feel that his character in King2Hearts was more matured. Yeah okay he plays the arrogant jerk again, but let's face it: he does it pretty well.

Sleepninja hasn't watched this yet.  Sleepninja is saving this drama for the dreaded time when a certain person will be leaving for the army. Sleepninja doesn't want to speak on this further. Sleepninja also wonders why she is referring to herself in the third person...........

The Greatest Love - When Idols Collide
http://i50.tinypic.com/34smii0.png

I may be a bit biased but.....BEST CAMEO EVER! :p
I love that he and the main lead had a sort of rivalry going on as well as the humorous references to previous events in the series. He was able to enter into the story without any awkwardness or negative affect on the storyline. It's definitely one of my favorite cameos in a drama. I've seen others that just created a mess in the story or episode.
          ~Sleepninja~

His cameo in The Greatest Love was the sole purpose for my watching that drama! While I actually loved the rest of it and found it hilarious, I can't deny my favorite part is still is cameo! And still the best one I've seen, makes me laugh every time!

Famous Princesses - The Undiscovered

     I would really love to actually watch this drama. It sucks, though, because the only episodes I can find with subtitles are the first 20. And I dunno about anyone else, but only being able to watch 20 out of 80 episodes just sounds disappointing and a waste of time to me. I would love to watch it, though, being that it's the first drama that Seung Gi starred in. He was only a supporting character, but it's my goal to watch every drama with Seung Gi in it. And it was his starting drama! So if anyone can tell me how I can watch it with English subtitles from episodes 1-80, let me know? (;

I have spent many hours searching for the full series.  Unfortunately, I haven't found any better results than C4U's.  I keep hoping it will pop up someday. I fear I shall have to give up and buy it. I really would rather watch something to know if it's worth the purchase. (Pish! Who am I kidding? If it's got LSG in it, I'll buy it. :p)

Guga Medical Book - When a Man IS a Gumiho

https://mydramalist.com/korean-drama/5577/guga-medical-book
http://i46.tinypic.com/2eumt1f.jpg

This is an upcoming drama.  There isn't a whole lot of information on it.  The synopsis simply states, "Drama series follows a male gumiho (fox with nine tails)."  But really, it doesn't need to say much more than that.  I am very intrigued!  Many questions flashed through my mind after I read that sentence.  What kind of gumiho will he be?  Will he be the scary type?  The cutesy type? (well that's a given) The humorous type?   Ooor *dramatic music*  The arrogant type? :p
Whatever type he is, I am really excited about this drama. Usually dramas involving gumiho have females.  I am curious to see what a male gumiho is like. :)
          ~Sleepninja~

I can't wait to watch this! Since King2Hearts I've been dying to see Seung Gi in another role. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about his pairing with Suzy, or the fact that neither of them have had roles in saeguks before. I am, however, keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that the drama turns out good, because for Seung Gi I'll watch anything! Although it is ironic that he's going to be playing as a male gumiho when he's already starred in a drama about a gumiho.

The Entertainer
1 Night 2 Days
http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/2739/15293279471318.jpg
We've only seen a few episodes of the famous variety show 1 Night 2 Days (1N2D), which Seung Gi was a main cast member for five years. This year was his last year for it, though. What we loved about watching this show, though, was seeing Seung Gi's real life personality. He's such a charming and sweet guy, watching him here just makes you fall in love with him even more!

Strong Heart
http://i48.tinypic.com/30k39zr.jpg
Strong Heart was another variety show that Seung Gi used to be on. He co starred alongside Kang Ho Dong in the beginning, but when Ho Dong left the show in 2011, Seung Gi was left as the main host. However, he left the show in March to focus on his singing career.

As we mentioned earlier, Lee Seung Gi is also a really great singer! Here are a few songs we would like to recommend:

Forest (newest)
Smile Boy
Will You Marry Me
Like the First Time
Because We're Friends
I'll Cry Out (from Shining Inheritance)

We hope you enjoyed our Stalker's Guide.

If there is an actor or an actress that is worthy of a Stalker's Guide in your opinion, and you have watched enough dramas of his/hers to prove it, please contact Elisabetta about it.
