Due to the lack of J-Dramas/Movies news, I apologize and I promise that I will write about them more often, let's start with a piece of news that made me smile unconsciously:

It looks like Japan's drama industry is ready to grant our wish by making another version of "Itazura Na Kiss"! Based on Kaoru Tada's hit 1990-1999 manga, Japan is making another live action adaptation titled "Itazura Na Kiss~Love in Tokyo" .

16-year-old model/actress Miki Honoka will play the character of Aihara Kotoko as her first drama role. Kotoko is a huge fan of the manga as she commented: "I feel pressured as there are fans of the original manga series, and also that I may be compared with the Korean and Taiwanese versions, but I’m confident that our 2013 Japanese version will be the ‘Itazura na Kiss’ which only we can make.” Then she added, "This is a dreamy story for girls. There is no villain, and you can be happy watching it, so I hope we can give the viewers chuckles and comforts." Naoki's character will be portrayed by Yuki Furukawa, who has promised to make the character even more charismatic than the original one.

Moreover,  the role of Ikezawa Kennosuke will be taken by Yamada Yuki who, of course, will be Naoki's rival for Kotoko's heart. I remember liking his comment where he said "I will do my best to meet the expectations and make the audience worry in a way where they will wonder: 'Will Kotoko go for Kin-chan?'" I would love to see that!

Although the manga's writer, Kaoru Tada, was unable to complete the series due to an unfortunate accident in which she died, the classic story continued to get praise throughout Asia despite the fact that the story would remain forever unfinished. Itazura Na KIss has already been made into a drama several times before starting with Japan: Itazura Na Kiss (1996), Taiwan: It started with a Kiss (2005), They Kiss Again (2007), Korea: Playful Kiss (2010) and there's even China's portray of the story Say that You Love me (2013) and an anime (2008) in which her husband helped realizing Tada's planned ending.

The 16 episodes drama starts airing by the end of the month, 29 March 2013.

It's been announced that Shinohara Ryoko, Fujiki Naohito and Miura Haruma will take part in the upcoming Fuji Tv drama "Last Cinderella".

Apparently 60% of single women between 25-35 discover that they become more boyish as they age. The drama will talk about Oyaji Joshi, a girl who acts like an old man and devotes herself to work.

Sakura (Shinohara Ryoko) is a 39 years old woman who didn't have a boyfriend for more than ten years. Although, she works as a vice manager in a beauty salon, she never cares for her appearance. She has always had a strong sense of justice and a great personality, and yet she has always been a coward in love--that is--until she meets a cyclist, Hiroto. He is much younger than her and very popular among girls. On the other side, there's Rintaro who's the manager of the beauty salon where Sakura works. He seems like a cool man, but he has many bad habits and an arrogant character. Will it become an interesting love triangle?

Last Cinderella is scheduled to air in April 2013.
