Japanese Drama Academy Awards

The Television Drama Academy Awards is not a formal award ceremony. In fact, a ceremony is not even held for the event. The Drama Academy Awards is actually hosted by the magazine, The Television Weekly, in which nominations and results are revealed through a 3-5 (sometimes more) page spread. The combined votes of the magazine’s readers, the magazine’s team of juries, and TV journalists decide the winners of each category. This event is held 4 times a year. Below is a look at 2013’s first-quarter winners, who were announced in The Television Weekly's issue no. 7 for the 75th Drama Academy Awards, on February 13.

Nice to see that this news has made here :D I already posted about Kimura Takuya into his forum thread a long time ago.

It would be nice if next Drama Academy Awards where published here too. Would benice chance to compare how dramas are doing here in MDL and in Japan.

Maybe that's just because Rich Man Poor Woman was broadcost in summer 2012, contrary to the dramas listed above which were airing between october and december 2012. As HeyitsEst said, the event aired 4 times per year. For exemple, if I remember well, Kagi no kakatta Heya and Ohno Satoshi won for the dramas which were airing between april and june 2012. So you should search for the results of the summer dramas to see if Rich man poor woman won.
Btw i'm looking forward to the annual Prize.

I'm really glad Tabe-chan was recognized for Ooku. She did an amazing job with it and it was really different from her usual stuff.

I'm happy for both Priceless and Doctor X which were definitely two great dramas of the last season. I personally slightly preferred Doctor X because I thought the plot and the OST were original and different, however the acting in Priceless was very good and the story uplifting.

Yay Priceless! I watched Doctor X after I made my Top 12 of 2012 list but I wish I would've put it on the list instead of Beginners.

No surprise to see Priceless at the top, the drama deserves it.
It also reminds me to add Doctor X on my PTW list.

Akumu-chan was fantastic, Keiko's character is pretty cool she develops from a cold woman to a teacher who worries about her pupils, and the change is very credible.
I have to watch priceless now
