Another weekend is coming... did everyone have a good time this week? Happy or not, it’s time for us to watch movies as much as we want. I found a few interesting movies so I’ll just share them with you. I hope you’ll like them. :)

I love how this movie played me. This is the first movie that made me clueless about the whole story. When I thought the story will go this way, it suddenly turns the other way, and that happened all the time. Though the story is a little plain, the mystery keeps you glued to your seat. If you’re looking for a movie with a different kind of plot, then this movie is for you.

Country: Hong Kong                                    Year: 2008                                       Genre: Romance

Synopsis: Zhu Yanzhi (Charlene Choi) disguises herself as a young man to attend school in Hangzhou. During her journey to Hangzhou, she meets a guy who turns out to be her senior at school named Liang (Wu Zhun). Soon, they get close to each other. One day, Yanzhi gets into an accident, and while taking care of her, Liang finds out her true identity. It doesn’t take much time, before they fall for each other. However, her parents arranged a marriage between her and Ma Cheng’en (Hu Ge), so they get separated. What will happen to their love? Can they get back to each other?

A romantic yet sad movie. This is the historical Hong Kong version of Romeo and Juliet. Though the story is well known in the world, this movie gives another vibe to the story. One time there are romantic cute moments, and the next you’ll cry your eyes out. However, during both funny and sad moments, you can feel how deep their love is.

Country: Korea                                 Year: 2011                                  Genre: Action, Thriller, Comedy

Synopsis: Han Ki Soo (Lee Min Ki) was a reckless motorcycle gang member, but now he is the best courier in his company. One day, his job reunites him with his ex-girlfriend, Ah Rom (Kang Ye Won) who is a famous idol now. The job is to ‘deliver’ her to her concert as fast as possible, but Ki Soo got a phone call telling him that a bomb is planted in his helmet, the one Ah Rom is wearing. Ki Soo is ordered to take deliveries, and if the delivery is late or he attempts to run away the helmet will explode.

I love this movie so much, because it’s all there: action, romance and comedy. It’s like a Korean version of Taxi and Speed combined. Lee Min Ki as usual did a pretty good job in his role, and even if Kang Ye Won looks too old as Min Ki’s girlfriend I still enjoyed her role. In this movie, there are times you’ll hold your breath cause of the crazy motorcycle action, but there are also times you’ll laugh till you have a stomachache because of Ah Rom’s uniqueness, and there are times you’ll melt because of Min Ki’s sweetness. :)

4. The Raid - Redemption

Country: Indonesia                                         Year: 2011                               Genre: Action

Rama (Iko Uwais) is a rookie officer, who together with a 20-man SWAT Team led by Sergeant Jaka (Joe Taslim) and Lieutenant Wahyu (Pierre Gruno) is trying to sweep out an apartment building of a cruel drug lord. However, they are trapped in the building and must do everything to get out alive.

I must say, this is the best action movie ever. The story is so simple, but the action is so great. This movie is filled with fast moves, intense body combat, and even cool knife play action. What impressed me most is the fact that the actors actually did the martial arts themselves, and the villain, called "Mad Dog" is the action choreographer. So, if you are someone who enjoys hand to hand combat, then this movie is definitely for you.
