Cheering For Bad Guys!
Most Korean dramas have bad guys that just make your blood boil with anger, so you find yourself rooting for, of course, the good, loveable main character. However, no matter how loveable a main character may be, sometimes there are these bad guys that you just cannot resist cheering for even though you know they don't have a chance winning over the good guy. This is a list of those irresistible bad guys!

SPOILERS!
[King of Baking, Kim Tak Goo; Twinkle Twinkle; Rooftop Prince; Missing You; 7th Grade Civil Servant]
You've been warned.

The first drama that made me cheer for the bad guy was King of Baking, Kim Tak Goo. I fell in love with Ma Jun (Joo Won) instead of good guy Tak Goo (Yoon Shi Yoon), because I couldn't stand how their father wasn't paying attention to Ma Jun even though he tried his best to make his father proud. Okay, okay I know Ma Jun wasn't really Goo In Joong's son, but he didn't know it (at least in the beginning)! So he should have treated Ma Jun equally with Tak Goo. Well, of course, this wasn't all when it comes to Ma jun. First I had to watch him getting mistreated by his father, and then afterwards I watched the girl he liked not like him back. Do I even need to say who she liked instead of Ma Jun? Oh, we all know very well. Honestly, while watching this drama, I was boiling with anger and I wanted Tak Goo to fail.  Fortunately - at least for me - in the end things ended quite well for Ma Jun. (He got the girl, YAY!)

A second time when I was rooting for bad guy was during Twinkle Twinkle. In this drama the main characters were switched in the hospital as babies and the original rich girl ends up in the poor family and vice versa. So here the so-called bad guy, Geum-Ran (Lee Yoo Ri), is a girl who ends up living a harsh life in a poor family who has a lot of debt while the real daughter, Jung-Wong (Kim Hyun Joo), will live an easy life in a rich family. Here, I liked Geum-Ran over Jung-Won because somehow I understood how she felt - her real life was stolen by a poor girl. Also, for some reason I got really annoyed by Jung-Won's personality and I couldn't stand her at all because she got everything she wanted even after getting kicked out of the rich family. For example, Jung-Won (surprise, surprise!) got the man Geum-Ran was in love with. Literally this drama made my blood boil! I hated  how in the end Geum-Ran didn't get anything, and her personality changed and she became more like the Jung-Won.

I already know I'm gonna get so much hate for this one, but oh well (I think I have to go hide in some cave for a while after this). I admit I was probably the only person on the Hong Se Na (Jung Yoo Mi) team during Rooftop Prince instead of team Park Ha (Han Ji Min). Honestly, I just couldn't stand Park Ha who was just too naive. Besides, Se Na wouldn't have been so malicious if their father would have adored her as much as he adored Park Ha. I mean if Park Ha wasn't so annoying that I started to tear my hair out, I probably would have rooted for her too. That's why I probably liked Se Na more. Still, I just felt it was so unfair because she was supposed to be Yong Tae Yong's (Park Yoochun) only love. Seriously I'm too scared to say more about this bad guy...

Kang Hyung Yoon (Yoo Seung Ho) is my all time favorite bad guy! At least in my point of view he was so much better than Han Jung Woo (Park Yoochun) in Missing You. I was cheering for Hyung Yoon and I really wanted to see him win over Jung Woo. Seriously, I hated Jung Woo so much that I just wanted to rip out all his guts (maybe I should get some anger management...). I mean, because of Jung Woo (okay, not entirely his fault but his fathers), Hyung Joo's life was full of losses--he lost his mother, his leg was permanently damaged, he didn't get the girl, and in the end, he damaged his brain. Seriously, how can you not feel sorry for him?! In this drama, I hated how in the end Soo Yeon (Yoon Eun Hye) chose Jung Woo over Hyung Yoon most of all ! It was just so wrong because Jung Woo just left Soo Yeon to die while Hyung Yoon saved her life! Honestly, for me this drama wasn't a beautiful love story, but a heartbreaking story about Hyung Joon</3

A most recent drama where I was cheering for team bad guys was 7th Grade Civil Servant. Frankly these bad guys - Mi Rae (Kim Soo Hyun) & JJ (Im Yoon Ho) - had a perfect reason for revenge because NIS sacrificed their families and left them for dead when they were just kids. During this drama I wanted so badly to see them take down the NIS team. Actually, while watching these two, I didn't get so angry since these guys knew what they were doing. Besides the NIS wasn't that tough an opponent. To my delight these guys survived a long time and almost succeeded with their plan. But as always in the end I had to see them fail which once again made me curse the good guys.

So have you ever cheered for the bad guys? Let me know in the comments!
