According to my sources, a new television genre romcom-horror will debut in August 2013, on SBS. In case you were wondering, the 'rom' and 'com' of romcom are romance and comedy, respectively. Presumably, adding horror to the mix has never been done before, and my best guess is that the female protagonist, who has the ability to see ghosts, will serve as the vehicle for the added feature.

The drama, entitled The Sun of the Lord, will star So Ji Sub, who played the surgically altered Kim Woo Hyun-lookalike, Park Gi Young, in Ghost (2012), as the selfish, self-centered profit monger company president Joo Joong Won vis-a-vis Gong Hyo Jin who will play the company's ghost-haunted, insomniac secretary Tae Gong Sil. It goes without saying that a romance will develop between Joo Joong Won and Tae Gong Sil.

The Sun of the Lord is the brainchild of Hong Jung Eun and Hong Mi Ran, otherwise known as the Hong Sisters, whose credits include Delightful Girl Choon Yang (2005), Hong GilDong (2008), The Greatest Love (2011), among others. For those in the know, the Hong Sisters specialize in pun-based names and titles. An example of which is Ae Jung (affection), a starring role in The Greates Love, which was incidentally played by Gong Hyo Jin. Dare I say, there'll be a pun or two in The Sun of the Lord. Tune in and tell me what they are because I'm bound to miss them what with my having to rely on subtitles.
